Barack Obama refuses an offer to have solar panels installed on the White House

September 12, 2010

We have heard so much from the Obama regime about how his cap and trade policy would open up the door to “green” technology. The Obama regime claimed over and over again that his cap and trade policy–which is now on the verge of being implemented by the EPA through dictate–would actually be a stimulant to the stagnant economy because of all the new job opportunities that would open up to Americans with an emphasis being placed on creating new alternative, renewable energy sources.

Barack Obama claimed that is was up to America to lead by example, claiming that, “we can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times.”

He was claiming that as the most powerful nation in the world it was up to us to show the other nations that we were serious about fighting global warming. This speech was a challenge to Americans to sacrifice our liberties and freedoms for the greater good. According to Barack Obama we, as Americans, were supposed to lower our standards of living in order to prove to the world that we were going to tackle the contrived issue of global warming.

Again and again he has called on Americans to sacrifice in order to light the path and show the world the proper way to fight the menace of global warming.

Barack Obama recently had the opportunity to lead by example himself–he had a chance to show Americans that he would also sacrifice something for the common good–when he was offered the opportunity to install solar panels on the White House, but guess what?

When a company called Sungevity offered to install solar panels equipped with the latest technology on the White House Barack Obama turned down the offer.

This was an opportunity for Barack Obama to put his money where his mouth was. After months of extolling the virtues of alternative energy you would think that the president would have jumped all over the chance to show Americans that he really believed in the excrement that was spewing from his mouth on this issue. But alas, he has decided not to back up his rhetoric and will not be installing an alternative energy source in his own backyard.

This is typical behavior from an elitist, leftist president who has grand ideas for how Americans should live, but is unwilling to live the same lifestyle that he demands we live.

The American people have known for quite awhile that there are two sets of rules; one for the ordinary pissants, and one for the elitists who feel that they know what is best for us–this is just the latest example of the growing divide between ordinary Americans and the elitists.

Barack Obama–and all the elitists like him–like to preach to us how we should live our lives, hell they even fly around the world on private jets just to tell us that we need to cut back on our energy consumption, but they are unwilling to live by the same restrictions they wish to impose on us.

This was a chance for Barack Obama to lead by example and he failed. He is unwilling to follow the advice that he has not only given to the people of America, but to the citizens of the world. How is anyone supposed to believe that Barack Obama is serious about this issue when he is not willing to take the steps himself that he wants the rest of the American people to take?

This is more proof that the cap and trade issue has nothing to do with energy, greenhouse gasses, or climate change; this is not an issue of climate control, it is an issue of people control.

Barack Obama, Al Gore, and all of the other elites who live one lifestyle while at the same time telling others that they must live another continue to prove their hypocrisy on a seemingly daily basis.

If Barack Obama truly thought that climate change was a real issue, he would begin to implement changes to his daily life as a sign of solidarity with the American people (I feel your pain). But he doesn’t do this and that is because this is not an environmental issue at all, but rather an issue of control.

If Barack Obama is unwilling to live by the same standards of living that he wants to impose on the American people, there is no way that the American people can be expected to follow him into the abyss.

Sure, installing solar panels on the White House would have amounted to nothing more than a symbolic gesture, but when you take into account the restrictions that Barack Obama and the EPA are about to impose on the American people, it would have at least  shown the American people that he believes in his own propaganda, and that he was one of us and willing to sacrifice to save the planet. But once again he–much like the other elites–does not believe that HE should sacrifice, he believes that WE should sacrifice.

Is it any wonder that the global warming alarmists are losing more and more credibility every day?

    Concise and provocative, as usual.

Unfortunately, what the people do not yet completely perceive is that he is there, not to show us the way ….. nor to lead. He is here to continue the destruction that began long ago.

Nothing against football, but as long as sports is here to entertain us …… and the opposition wrongly thinks the election will fix everything ….. he’ll have free reign.

Thinking the coming election will right it, is delusional.

Sports, American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and all of these other programs are designed to take the attention off of what really matters. Until people care less about what the score of the baseball game was and more about what is going on in Washington we can expect more of the same.

Bread and circuses…Wiemar cabaret. Keep their bellies full and their minds occupied, then they won’t notice the collapse until it’s around their ears.

It is only his “house” for four years. He did one smart thing! By not installing the panels, he has not detracted from the value of the place since it’s going to be “up for sale” in Nov/2012!

Huh – the solar panel thingy wouldn’t have been an issue if Reagan hadn’t ordered the panels removed in the first place, now would it?

That’s besides the point. Reagan wasn’t telling us that we should live a green life while taking those panel down. At least Jummy Carter showed that he was willing to walk the walk unlike Barack Obama.

Not a glimpse of light on knowing where his stupidity and hypocrisy begins to slow down. He must think we’re a bunch of starving North Korean soldiers marching off a cliff following his tunes. I don’t even bank on line because of privacy issues and now this?
