New Hampshire governor lends his campaign $800,000
While polling shows that New Hampshire Republicans stand to make huge gains in next Tuesday’s election, there is one person who seems to be likely to withstand the purge, and that is New Hampshire’s Democrat governor, John Lynch. Immediately following the New Hampshire Republican primary the polls showed Republican candidate John Stephen within striking distance of John Lynch but recent polling by UNH has John Lynch leading by ten points.
It seems inevitable that John Lynch will win an unprecedented fourth term as governor, but there is one telltale sign that all may not be well with John Lynch’s re-election campaign; a sign that tells us that John Lynch’s internal polling may show this race is tighter than the liberal leaning UNH poll cares to admit.
Last week, Governor Lynch loaned his campaign $350,000 in personal funds to combat John Stephen. One has to think that if John Lynch truly had a double digit lead over John Stephen he would not have had to resort to lending his campaign money in the days leading up to the election.
John Lynch’s latest campaign loan was not his first however, as the $350,000 he loaned his campaign last week brings his total donations to his campaign up to a whopping $800,000. Clearly John Lynch is more than a little concerned about his re-election prospects regardless of what public polling is telling us.
There has got to be a reason why John Lynch has loaned his campaign over three quarters of a million dollars and it certainly isn’t because he is enjoying a double digit lead. John Stephen must be closing the gap–and closing it fast–on John Lynch and he has a desperate John Lynch scrambling to hold on.
New Hampshire voters, I implore you not to feel down about the latest gubernatorial polls because John Stephen must be closer than we are being led to believe. It is imperative that Republican and independent voters head to the polls next Tuesday, we are on the verge of righting a ship that has been floundering on the high seas for far too long now and even if in the end we are not able to defeat John Lynch we must remember that we can seriously slow down his liberal agenda by taking control of the New Hampshire House, Senate, and Executive Council. But there still remains the likelihood that we will also be able to take down John Lynch. Surely he feels this way also or he would be confident to the point where he wouldn’t be donating to his own campaign.
Stay focused New Hampshire and we can make this a clean sweep in five days!

THAT is awesome! I read today that Barney Franks loaned his campaign $2oo,ooo (I think that is correct) so it seems that we have several candidates that are ….let’s say …FEELING THE HEAT! HA HA

I still think that John Lynch will remain the last Democrat standing, but you never know. At least if Republicans gain control of the state house we can slow him down!
Barney Frank has been loaning himself money as well even though the polls show him ahead, I think he knows he may be in trouble as well! I am going to get to that story tonight!

Sorry, Steve. I just left a comment on one of your other articles that was meant for this one.
I hope your assertions are correct and the internal polls are much closer. One never knows if these polls are accurate or not.

No Problem Larry, I hope so too! I can’t help but think that the internal polls must be closer because there can be no other explanation that I can think of for the governor to lend his campaign money!
