John Kerry claims America is in a period of “know-nothingism”
I don’t know about you, but I am getting damned sick and tired of listening to the Democrats in Washinton–from the president on down–and the media insult us because we do not agree with the Obama regime’s agenda. The president himself has said that we are basically scared stupid and told his supporters that we are not thinking straight; Katie Couric derided the middle of the country as the “unwashed masses”; Bill Maher stated something to the effect of, “Democrats exist to drag the hillbillies into the next century”; and then there are all of the “teabagger” slurs that have been leveled against us by both the media and Democrat politicians.
Now John Kerry has weighed in on those of us who are just too stupid to vote for Democrats next week.
It’s absurd. We’ve lost our minds,” said a clearly exasperated Kerry. “We’re in a period of know-nothingism in the country, where truth and science and facts don’t weigh in
There you have it, according to John Kerry we are a bunch of know nothings who don’t see the truth and because of this Democrats are losing at the polls–it couldn’t possibly be their policies that we disagree with. This is the exact type of elitist attitude that so many mainstream Americans are fed up with. Until the elitists such as John Kerry and Barack Obama realize how arrogant and condescending they sound they will continue to fall in the polls. They honestly believe they are smarter than us and know what is best for us even if we are too stupid to realize they are passing these unwanted policies for our own good. They hope that someday we will grow up and thank them for the life lessons they have taught us. They are the party of “know” in their own minds.
It is one thing to have policy disagreements and debate these issues on their merit, but it is another thing altogether to insult the people who you are supposed to be representing–the people who hired you–just because they disagree with the positions you have taken.
I guess this means that John Kerry thinks all of us are going to “get stuck in Iraq.”

Why do people like John Kerry insist on acting like the America people are a bunch of idiots? As little credit for smarts as they give us, it’s a miracle we can even tie our own shoes, let alone make the important decisions in our lives. This kind of thing makes me very angry.

I also get very angry when I hear pliticians utter this type of contempt for the people that elected them in the first place. I can handle the media, but our elected officials should be above this!

Great post Steve. I think that nails it. The elites really think they they rule by divine right (or, perhaps not so divine). The smug is a sight to behold, and the fact that they are so open with it shows exactly how out of touch they are.

We have been in a period of know-nothingism since the Dems gained control of congress and the Presidency. Their flawed ideology and failed policies are on the verge of collapsing the U.S economy and propelling Western Civilization into a second Dark Age. And they believe that we are the ones that are intellectually challenged. Great post Steve.

I just wish he really did believe that we are dumb bunnies. What I see is an insecure, fearful man. And though I feel bad for him, I have one question. How much longer before we can vote him out? (awkward…) Maybe I’ll change my mind if Harry gives me some pizza and beer.

Great post. Your anger mirrors my own. I don’t like the fact that I have gotten to this point, but I have. Fed. UP. It took two years of insults, but they’ve done it.
The insults are all they really have left, though. At this point it’s very difficult to get a leftist to argue a specific topic with actual fact, because they know they will lose.
Is it November 3rd yet? If things don’t go well for conservatives, Kerry will actually be right. We will be proven to be a country full of know nothings.
