Janet Napolitano calls global warming an issue of national security

  Today the White House held something that they called the “environmental justice” conference and we learned that Janet Napolitano now considers global warming to be a threat to national security; she is creating a new department under Homeland Security called the Climate Change and Adaptation Task Force, which will be tasked with “identifying and assessing the impact that climate change could have on the missions and operations of the Department of Homeland Security.”

  Let us pretend for the sake of this post that man-made global warming was in fact real and let us pretend that ClimateGate did not prove that scientists fraudulently manipulated the data to “prove” global warming did exist to ensure that the grant money kept flowing into their coffers as well as the pockets of those who are profiting from the hoax. With that stipulated, how does this constitute a threat to national security?

  While the Department of Homeland Security can’t seem to focus on the issues which fall within their jurisdiction–the porous Mexican border and fighting terrorism comes to mind–they seem to have the time and the resources to dedicate to a non-existent problem, which even if it were real wouldn’t have anything to do with national security. 

  Between the EPA preparing to institute cap and trade legislation, and with the FCC preparing to institute internet regulations, the last thing that the American people need is yet another government agency expanding their powers beyond the original intent of that agency and that is exactly what is going on here.

  The federal government is rapidly expanding and assuming more power over the American people under Barack Obama and they are using fear to accomplish these goals. The Obama regime is constantly operating under the premise of manufactured crisis and they are doing this to step on the rights and liberties of the very people they are supposed to be protecting from threats foreign and domestic. Barack Obama has been unable to pass the most radical parts of his agenda by getting legislation passed in the Congress so he is bypassing the Congress and is attempting to have his agenda implemented by dictate. This is just the latest example.

  It is time for the American people to say enough is enough. Doesn’t Janet Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security have more pressing priorities which they should be focusing on rather than imposing their will over FEMA in the case of NATURAL disasters? It certainly seems so to me. But the Department of Homeland Security doesn’t even want to admit that radicalized Muslims are enemies to the United States; they refuse to even call the terrorists what they are because they are afraid of offending them and they are afraid to secure the Mexican border for fear of offending the Mexicans. It appears to me that the only people that Janet Napolitano is not afraid to offend is the American people themselves, for we are the targets under this new “environmental justice” department in Homeland Security.
