Allen West to Obama: Fear-mongering is not a solution, it is time to admit your economic policies failed

July 15, 2011

We have all heard Barack Obama claim that if the Republicans did not agree to raise taxes as part of a deal to raise the debt ceiling that there would be no deal. Calling the Republicans ideologues for trying to make good on their campaign promise to the American people, Barack Obama decided to use fear-mongering in order to scare the elderly into believing that they would not receive their Social Security checks next month if the debt ceiling were not raised.

Allen West has a message for Barack Obama: “Fear-mongering is not an acceptable solution” to the problem, and it is time for Barack Obama to admit to the American people that “his economic policies have failed this country.” He also went on to claim that if the Republicans are able to bring their “cut, cap, and balance” proposal to the floor next week as promised and the president doesn’t agree with it, than it is Barack Obama himself who is the “rigid ideologue who is not seriously concerned with the fiscal security of the United State of America.”

If the debt ceiling is not increased and the elderly do not receive their Social Security checks it will be because the Obama regime CHOSE not to prioritize Social Security, not because the debt ceiling wasn’t raised. The money will be there if the Obama regime wants to send out the checks. The question is; what is the Obama regime’s priority, making sure the Social Security checks are delivered, or purposely holding the checks back so that he can blame the Republicans because granny didn’t get paid?

In order to reassure the elderly that they will still receive their Social Security checks in the event of a government default Republicans have introduced legislation, backed by Allen West, called the Priority Spending Act which would prioritize government spending in the event of a default. In the event of a government default Social Security payments would be the fourth priority on the list; this would ensure seniors of a Social Security payment and remove the fear-mongering tactic of this shameless president.

If the Democrats and Barack Obama oppose this legislation there can be only one reason; they want to be able to scare granny into submission. If they oppose this legislation they will be putting partisan, fear-mongering politics ahead of providing the elderly with the security the Democrats falsely claim the elderly are lacking. They will prove once and for all that they are the ideologues who are more interested in partisan politics than doing what is best for the country.

As long as there is one living Republican or Conservative…As long as the rest of the planet exists…Obama will blame someone or something else. Because, that’s what Alinsky would do.

Exactly, he will never take the blame for the problems and he will claim that only he can fix them even though he has no plan.

Excellent post Steve. I agree with everything Congressman West said. It’s time for Obama to step up and admit his short comings in regards to his economic policies. He owns it Steve.

Until he admits he has a problem he can’t seek help, isn’t that how the saying goes? Of course it is becoming more and more evident that he doesn’t want help, it’s either his way or the highway.

Great idea. The Republicans should take a vacation, come back August 3, and pass West’s bill.

What would Obama do then when he couldn’t rely on fear-mongering to win the argument?

At minimum, a man to watch… will be funny watching him rip libs and actual racists (Dems) to itty bitty shreds over the next few years lol

During the interview with Mr. West, there appear to be a lot of folks wearing purple shirts walking away. Does anyone know if SEIU was up to their usual shenanigans?

An interesting observation, I don’t know but I wouldn’t doubt it. If they were walking away it is a sign that they couldn’t argue with what he was saying.

Great post! Obama doesn’t give a crap about the American people. He only cares about political posturing. We need to cut up Obama’s credit card. He has spent way over the limit and now the American people are demanding spending cuts.

Thank you! You are right, Obama doesn’t give a damn what the American people want. That was clear after Scott Brown’s election. He cares more about his political agenda thanj he does about what the American people want.

West says ALL the right things, except the most important one…

“I’m Allen West and I am running for President”

Those are the words ALL GOP candidates fear…

The only way Allen West could be more perfect was if he were to utter those words. It would be more than just the GOP cnadidates who would be shaking in their boots…..

When did the American Dream becomes so small? And the American people so goddamn STUPID?
