Barack Obama announces new immigration laws granting illegals de facto amnesty

During a speech to La Raza on July 25th Barack Obama admitted that “the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting,” and yesterday the temptation proved too strong for him to ignore any longer because he announced that his regime ease up on its enforcement of immigration laws.
According to the new laws illegal immigrants will no longer face a deportation hearing simply because they were arrested for being in the United States illegally unless they have committed an additional crime. So instead of deporting illegal immigrants before they have a chance to commit a crime against an American citizen the regime will wait until an American citizen has been victimized by an illegal alien before starting deportation hearings. In other words the Obama regime feels as if it is more important to protect an illegal alien from deportation than protecting American citizens from a potential crime perpetrated by an illegal alien.
In all reality this is not a new policy because it has been in effect for awhile now because, as I wrote about in this post almost a year ago to this very date, the Department of Homeland Security has already been granting de facto amnesty by refusing to prosecute illegal aliens and deport them unless they have committed an additional crime.
But Barack Obama has been feeling the heat from immigration groups who feel as if the president hasn’t done enough to grant illegal aliens amnesty because this DHS program has slipped under the radar screen; so Barack Obama made a calculated political gamble and decided it was more politically expedient for him to admit to the American people that his regime is granting de facto amnesty, so he finally came clean on his regime’s true policies hoping that this would smooth things over with the groups who told them they wouldn’t support him unless he made a move on immigration reform.
Barack Obama and the Department of Justice are sworn to protect and defend the laws of the United States–even the laws with which they might not agree–but the DOJ is already selectively defending the laws of the nation. The Obama regime has already admitted that it would no longer defend DOMA and now comes word that the Obama regime will not actively enforce immigration laws. If any president does not agree with the laws of the land the proper procedure would be for the president to go to the Congress and ask them to pass a law that he could support and defend. But the Congress has not been able to grant Barack Obama his amnesty wish so he has taken it upon himself to ignore the law, and selectively enforce immigration policy.
Arizona grew frustrated with the federal government’s unwillingness to enforce immigration law so that state passed a law which was virtually the same as federal immigration law. And for their efforts they were greeted with a lawsuit from the federal government because it has been well established that it is within the jurisdiction of the federal government to enforce immigration law. And now Arizona’s concerns have been justified as the federal government has decided not to enforce the immigration laws even though the DOJ is responsible for enforcing these laws.
The Obama regime did not like the laws so instead of waiting for the Congress to change the laws the president has decided to change the laws on his own.
As unemployment rises on a daily basis, and as more and more Americans are looking for work every week, Barack Obama has decided that it was more important to let illegal aliens take jobs away from Americans who would otherwise take these jobs if they were available than to open up these job positions by sending illegal aliens home. If you are an American citizen and you are waiting for Barack Obama to come up with a job plan for you…..well, you are going to have to wait until after Labor Day because Barack Obama doesn’t think you are as important as gaining the Hispanic vote.

More American citizens out of work and more illegal votes for obama. Makes sense to me. And one additional crime will lead to one more leading to more and leading to still more. What a policy – allow illegals to commit crimes therefore assuring their support. Despicable.

He wonders why we get upset with immigrants coming here ILLEGALLY and then staying until this administration can figure out a loophole to slip them thru to become legals??? I can’t imagine why anyone that has come here thru the proper channels is not screaming about this. Look no further than the recent news from Milton Massachusetts for the latest example of what can happen when illegals are allowed to stay in this country.

Steve why don’t you think of it this way (1) if illegals become legal they would have to pay penalties to the government increasing USA financially do the math of how many illegal immigrants there are in america. (2) they become legal more jobs people start working and they pay taxes its a double win for USA if you think about it. This country was built on the basis for better life of all humans. Just like every other country in the world today we won our land by fighting for it. It may sound harsh but this land was ceded to us as consessions for defeat, this does not make us different than any other country. Now that the lans is ours we have set the rules for immigration; you either come here legally and are welcomed with open arms, or you come here illegally and must pay the consequences.

I TRULY do not care what any of you bleeding hearts say or think. You obviously have not had to deal with these illegals. They are taking our jobs; there are no jobs left for people in the home building process because all the mexicans have taken them, from concrete work to roofing. I am taking care of our grown daughter and two grandchildren because she can not find a job and we don’t believe in using the government to take care of us like so many do. We took my seriously ill granddaughter to emergency room and while we were there; we heard the people in the next room talking. The hospital told an illegal family not to worry about the bill; the government would pay his insurance for 6 months and then they could reapply for another six months. In the meantime; my husband and I had to pay cash from our of our savings which we worked hard all of our lives for. We don’t mind using our money for our children; but it is aggrevating to see illegals use up all of our government resources while we strugle to get by. We don’t get food stamps which my children could and we don’t use medicaid; which they could. We work hard for what we have and now we are having to pay for their medical bills, food and education. I don’t care what anyone says; that is not right. We live in the country and my 8 year old granddaughter was riding her horse on the back of our property when we saw her horse acting up. We went to see; and there were two mexicans out there laying in the grass eating. They had no right to be anywhere on our property. The next week there were two different ones sitting out in front of our place watching my graddaughters playing in the creek. They worked for the oil company and when my husband confronted them, they could not speak english. Now they want to take our second ammendments away. If they are here illegally; do we know if they are killers or rapists? NO! I say they go home! and I do not care what anyone else says. Are you going to sit around and let them hurt your children? Not me!!! I want someone with some balls to do something about it now.

I am married to a man from Mexico and he is the nicest, guy I have ever met. They are not all bad. They just want what everyone that came to this country has wanted. He is hard working, honest. The problem I am addressing is twofold: First, these people did not come here legally and are being rewarded while those who are trying to come here legally are the ones being hurt by this. Why do things the right way if you can do things the wrong way and achieve your goal quicker? And second, and most importantly, the main point here is that the president of the United States is doing this on his own without the approval of the Congress and the constitution was ste up to ensure one person did not have too much power. My problem is with the way the president went about doing this moreso than the actual law he created because he doesn’t have the power to make laws.

Do you see how coming across the border in the middle of the night as compared to doing the paperwork and arriving with everything in order might be the difference between illegal and legal? That is ignorant not all Illegal aliens are criminals, what about the citizens that mess up their own countries? Or are too lazy to get jobs? Or don’t even qualify to work? Majority illegal aliens that I know are earnest and do everything the legal way because they want a better life. Also, how can an illegal immigrant even vote? I know a lot of citizens that are too lazy to work & just want to depend on the government or don’t have the skills nor knowledge to do a job. Obama is thinking about the young generation that bust their ass just like any other kid in school to graduate and go to college but once they graduate high school they cant get jobs or even make it to college just because of their status in the U.S. Doesn’t that seem unfair? The poor kid doesn’t have a fighting chance even with their smarts.

Construction, hospitality, custodial, restaurant work, maintenance, manufacturing, landscaping, among other industries. Are you trying to say Americans won’t do those jobs? Illegal means a law has been broken, and if a law has been broken it means a crime has been committed. And if a crime has been committed it means the person who committed the crime is a criminal. steve show me one american who applied for those jobs and was rejected, and even if we do after a week or two we wont show up again because that is not what we want to do, tell me if you was an employer would you seek for long term employees or short term employees,these are the folks helping us move the nation get it straight,they pay taxes but cant even file after the year end so tell where does all those monies go,sometimes when we talking we need to put our personal feelings aside and deal with the situation with an open mind,plus they already have families here what do you want to do with those kids, cuz after their family goes it becomes the governments responsibility to take care of them, when you hate any tax increase,are you willing to slice your income so we can take care of all those kids, i bet hell will break loose on that.

Sadly to say that most of the US Citizens will not take a job unless they are being paid the same or more of what they were making before and that is a FACT. He has already demonstrated his disdain for the American citizen with his economic policy. I am not sure he was ever “out” of campaign mode, was he? I think that is about all he can do and others are running the White House for him. I am in agreement that as a lame duck, he will be more dangerous and I think he will go all out with pushing thru everything he has waiting for just the right time to do it. I know what it is like to flee a city, did that in East St. Louis, il. in ’69. Before that, it was a great place to grow up in, but the politics were playing into everything that happened to the city and eventually you had so much welfare, well it became a lost cause. Ever so often I drive thru there and have actually had a hard time navigating, because most the buildings have been burned or boarded up, so landmarks that had been there my whole childhood are gone. The house my Dad build is still standing, but with bars on the windows. I hesitate to think if there is anyone working in that city, anymore. There will be more towns and cities that fall prey to this same blight, it is sad. However, we must want more and more government to help us out, don’t we??

If they want to leave their countries to pursue a better life in America I have no problem with that at all as long as they follow the rules and come here legally. Just because they want a better life it doesn’t grant them permission to break the law in order to get here. We can argue, successfully, I might add, that the immigration laws in America need to be reformed. Our border needs to be secured. All of that is true. I agree, it has gotten way out of hand. The people here that could use the help (some middle-class) that have no kids by choice could use a little help with insurance, etc. Problem is, they know they can’t afford kids, so they don’t have them and THEY are punished with no help. Enter the ILLEGALS, yes I said it, and they get every available benefit, almost to the point of making them take it. What is wrong with this picture? My son was going to school full time, was looking for a job on the side, thought he would apply for food stamps, was turned down. He was told he had to be working 20 hours, to get them. He asked it everyone in the waiting-room was working 20 hours, the case worker said “no”, I am sure you can figure the rest out. He did get by on his own, found some work, graduated and is an engineer, no thanks to our system….don’t reward someone working hard that just needs a little help, give it to the ones that sit out on their front porch all day, have numerous kids and get all the handouts, haha, just venting. Send the illegals back along with their kids, not our problem, I agree. I have become cynical in my old age! The system is corrupt.

American citizens don’t work on construction, cleaning or other type of jobs performed by immigrants. That is the reallity. Americans don’t like to work hard. That is why we need them. But I do agree that they should pay taxes because is very frustrated to pay a lot of taxes and have them take all the benefits, like free medical care for example. That happened because they work under the table and there is no records of their income. They don’t worry about paying taxes, since they can not even drive here, they work to send money to their countries and go back after few years.

Ash, they are driving, look how many accidents there are that involve uninsured illegals. I doubt that would stop any illegals from driving just because they can’t get a license. Isn’t there a state now that is going to GIVE illegals a license? I can’t remember, but thought it was California, doesn’t suprise me. Somehow they get plates. Don’t states ask for an ID anymore to make sure you are a citizen? There is a certain big chain store that now not only has a money-gram area, but specifically an area to send back to Mexico. All the brochures are in Spanish. For $3 they can cash their checks without a checking account. I don’t like everything that has a sign being labeled in English and Spanish and I sure don’t expect to “push 1” for English in AMERICA. Only in America would that be tolerated, certainly not in other countries.

LOU, STEVE, and others…this is the God Honest Truth, the company I work with is doing a remodeling project and we had to hire some people to do carpentry, tile, plumbing cleaning and guess what? this people were lazy only lasted a week…we had to hire spanish workers from Mexico, Honduras and the job is going wonderful no problems at all!!! so yes, we dont like doing that kind of work….thank you very much…and by the way do you know how wonderful it is to speak spanish… deberias de aprender Español!!! lol I love that everything is in both languages you learn, you could become bilingual or maybe your too old and have no expectations in life then thats another story.

I have been to Mexico I iunderstand why they come here. Washing laundry by hand, doing dishes in cold water, cooking outside because they cant afford gas for a stove and not to mention cold showers. It is not the life that I would want to live. Yet I spent 6 months there. They are only trying to better life there so that they can return and not have to suffer. Nobody understands this unless you have lived it. I understand that they should try to come here legally, but they dont because our laws here are so strict on who they want to grant permission to enter. It shouldnt be so dam hard for one to be granted a visa to come here and work so they can better their lives. Everyone no matter where your from should be able to better their lives. Put yourself in their shoes…..if you was there and they wouldnt grant you permission to come here, honestly would you try to cross?????? I mean really sit back and think about it. If the roles were reversed and put on my shoulders I would do it to better the life of my family and to give my children everything they ever could dream of having. Could you honestly tell me that you could live the life of poverty that they do????? I dont think so. I think that the illegals that are here should be granted citizenship of the US if they have never commited a crime and do nothing but go to work and do the things that us americans do on a daily basis.

Steve, the name calling is when there is absolutely nothing constructive to say. Then the names start coming out. You know how that works. At my age, words don’t have much effect on me, don’t know about you, but I imagine it is about the same. You are overlooking the fact that Obama did not sign an amnesty law which was debated in the Congress, he simply avoided the debate and declared an amnesty policy. If he wanted to grant amnesty he should have followed the procedures laid out in the constitution; by not doing so he has continued his lawless regime.

From what I heard it was a “decree”, I think he has totally over stepped his authority doing this. Of course it was his usual doing things on his terms and the Congress is once again just overlooking it. Is it fair, to earn money here, not pay taxes and send it back to their country? Not! Close the borders! This issue of letting the ones that have not done anything TOO wrong can stay, well excuse me. Isn’t coming here illegally, wrong , or have we changed the level of what is too wrong? Do we now have Really Wrong, Somewhat Wrong, Slightly Wrong, A Little bit Wrong and Let’s let them stay Wrong? My husband is mexican he has been here since he was 15 years old and he works his a** off everyday to take care of me and our kids. He did not breake the law he was brought here by a parent to work and help his mom pay to get medical care she was really sick it pisses me off that everyone always runs there mouth about things they know nothing about.

I hope his mother is alright, but it is not the tax payers of the USA that should be paying for her care, it is the tax payers of Mexico. No one is running their mouths, as you say, but we as a country are not responsible for anyone else. However, the USA is one of the most generous country in the world when it comes to helping out other countries. My post was cut off, sorry. Mexico receives money from the US, what is it used for? The immigrants that came thru Ellis Island years ago were not rich, by far, they probably spent their last amounts of money to get here. They also had to work hard when they arrived and were looked down upon. I am sure they were treated very badly from what I read. But, they went thru the correct channels that were required of them, that is all we ask of anyone wanting to become a US citizen. Why is that so hard to understand?

If you were born in another COUNTRY and raised with no education. With no means to take care of your self other than hard physical labor for a few pennies a day. Personally I would become politically active and try to change my country for the better. But if I did decide to move to another country in search of a better life I would do so in the proper, legal way in the hopes that this would show that country that I was serious about becoming a law abiding citizen.
What you people seem to be ignoring is the fact that Barack Obama is ordering the DOJ and the DHS to ignore federal law. This is unacceptable and if Obama wants to enact amensty that is fine but he cannot do it on his own, he should work with the Congress.

I am tired of my taxes being spent on people other than US citizens, it is not only Mexico, take your pick of any country around the world that we send big bucks to. We are BROKE (unless you want to count what is being stashed away in accounts, but that is another subject to be dealt with), the USA is borrowing money from countries and giving it away to others. Guess who picks up the tab? The people. We are spending money that is not in the checking account, if you can understand that. There is the difference. By crossing the border, anyone coming here without going thru the right channels has broken the law. Are we just supposed to overlook that? Steve mentioned above that the DOJ and DHS are ignoring the federal laws, last time I checked we are a Republic that has laws, don’t we? This whole administration has decided to just do what they want, haven’t they? Ok, so if you do move here and the economy tanks, which it will if it is overloaded, what have you really accomplished? At that point, you have become part of the problem, not the solution. Is your suggestion to just open the borders and let anyone in that wants to come? Does Mexico do that (I am only bringing Mexico up because you seem to think that is the only country we are complaining about)? I will answer that question for you, NO THEY DO NOT! OMG! all your taxes are acctually going to all these wonderful americans who have 7 kids by 7 different fathers who live in section 8 have food stamps and do nothing all day!! Oh, not to forget all the people who receive a monthly check for them and their children for SSI or SSD because all of the sudden no one can work if their child has ADD, ADHD, ODD, OCD..etc…and of course if you are Bi-polar, have depression or a broken nail you are not able to work either…SO why don’t you ask yourself where all the money that the government take out of the “illegal’s” check every week (not all), but again remember you don’t know what I do for a living….so there are a lot of them that acctually get a check and taxes taken out and they don’t file return at the end of the year there for they don’t get the refund, so the government keeps the taxes that they take out of the ck all year long plus the refund. V, if you are paying into the system as you say you are and then don’t file at the end of the year you KNOW you have done something illegal. If that is what is happening and you have not learned from it, that tells me you are not making a wise decision. As for the government/state paying out on illegals, all you need to do is see the problems hospitals have, and insurance companies that pay out (after we pay the deductible) on uninsured accidents. I could bring up more, but you are incorrect. Yes, you are correct about people taking advantage of the system here, we have generation after generation doing it. By definition coming to this country illegally constitute a crime, but nobody here is suggesting that all illegals will commit additional crimes once they get here. Having said that, if one additional crime is prevented by deporting illegals before they have a chance to commit another crime than that is a plus in my book. They may have good intentions for coming here, but that doesn’t negate the manner in which they came here. It really isn’t that hard to understand.

It’s so sad to hear Mr. Steve and Lou222 talking about illegals, putting them all in one category: Criminals. Unfortunate we think you know all, but you have such a narrow understanding of the situation. Not all illegals come here illegals, but things can happen beyond their control that can make then end up staying here illegally.
Take my situation for an example. I came here legally to visit, met someone who decided to hire me and sponsor me, I’m a Biologist. I would take the animals and do some recycling projects for the farm. They rescue animals. I paid the lawyer, stayed here 6 years legally trough this job, when was time for me to finally apply for my green card I decided to hire a lawyer form my city. Guess what , he got my money and the money of other immigrants, and later on just send us some letters saying the he moved out of town, and we should find new lawyers, he did nothing but kept my money. Then my boss died, very sad, great person. I got another sponsor and paid another lawyer $6000.00 dolars, I would call and e-mail him often, he never would return my calls, I always had to ask my brother-in-law who is an american to cantact him, because the lawyer only would answer him, even tough I’m the one who paid him. And you say that it’s no racism! After 3 years waiting I recieved a letter form the Labor department saying that they were droping my case because the lawyer never gave them the information they required. All this time I was saying to the lawyer that I want prove but he would say, to my brother-in-law, don’t worry evrything is O. K. I’m working on it.
After we find out that, he promissed he would star all over again, yes, because, my brother-in -law put pressure on him he’s starting over, but while I was waiing for my case to be approved, I had a baby. I did not had Medicare, I had private insurance, paid evrything out my pocket, etc. Every year I paid my taxes, I paid insurance for my kids, etc. Every thing you said illegals don’t do. My unfortunate, my daughter was born with a rare syndrome. BY the time I found out the my case was being droped because of my lazy lawyer, I said :I’m going back to my country, because I don’t have any more money to give to lawyers, being robbed, and have no rights. But them we found out that in my country they don’t know almost nothing about her syndrome, and that she would not receive the treatment that she needs. We decide to stay and wait to see if this time the lawyer will do what it’s right wnd what he been paid for.But now it’s the best thing: I need to drive my daughter to so many specialists, Don’t worry I pay insurance, I don’t get for free like you suppose we all do. But I can not renew my license, because my lawyer fail to do his part. I don’t have a drivers license, i don’t have a green card, so I believe that qualified me as an Allien, but That should not be the case if my 2 American lawyers had just done what they been paid for.
I believed it never crossed their mind that I was a person, I was just some money in fornt of them, even though when I hired the second one I was very pregnant (it should tell them that I am a person, who has a family, to take care, etc). It never crossed his mind that his actions would afect my daughters life, that so desperely needs treatment, and may will end up not being able to received because hers parents are Illegal Alliens, even tough we did everything by the book. I guess that is life, shit happens, but because I’m the one on the other side of the fence, I’m the only one who should paid for, oh no, my daughter too.
Just so you know I contact the Bar Assotiation, do you care to know what they said? That is nothing that we can do to help you.
So, since it looks like that I know so much about Immigrants, what do you think I should do?
Maybe I should sue the lawyer and leave, and them you are going to write abou how we come here sue you all and leave with your money. Maybe I should be here and wait on the mercy of this lawyer to do what it’s right now, and the mean time don’t drive my daughter to the many specialists that she desperely needs, because I don’t have a License.
Thanks to God I found people that unlike you can understand that sometimes even tough you do everything right, things still go wrong and not by theis own fault. So I’m here waiting to see if now my case will be approved it can take 3-4 years, in the mean time I need to wash batroons for living, even tough I have a bacharel degree, I’m a realtor and a Mortgage broker, just because I can not renew my drivers License. I think that all is fair…if an “illegal” immigrant has to be deported for being “Illegal” then all other immigrants born here or not should be shipped back to their country if they commit a crime. I am surprised by the amount of traction this article continues to draw everyday. I don’t know what it is about this one but it does help to expose the type of people we are dealing with. They want to pick and chose which laws should be obeyed and which ones should be ignored. Many of them could use a lesson in history.

Steve, I am going to have to be fair here! Maybe IF they are reading OUR history books, they are not getting the full picture. We know the books are taking more of a liberal slant year after year. I think it has been brought to parents attention that his has been going on and alot are now speaking up. When was the last time you looked at your kids books? I did not, I am guilty of assuming the information was correct. Apparently we have people making decisions on what the context is and it has not been in favor of America. Is it any wonder, if that is what they are reading that this is what we have become as a nation? Shouldn’t our children know the real truth and not a watered down version or a plain lie? So, if this is where V and her friends that post here are getting their information, is it any wonder they have a one sided view of America? If we change our history books, will they go home when they are out of slinging ammo? Just a silly thought, I know.

A very good point Lou, it might not be that our children aren’t learning history. It might simply be that our children are learning a perverted and anti-American version of history. Here in New Hampshire it is a little different as the different school districts have more control over the lessons than is the case in most states, and that is the way it should be. I have looked at what my boys are learning in history and in Kingston we have a pretty good history class. I suspect it is much different in other parts of the country.

I have told you before that name calling doesn’t work with me. As I stated above, the “contempt” that comes out on some of these posts makes me wonder why not only are they on this post commenting, but why are they in America???? You’d think they would want to not get all worked up, wouldn’t you? No amount of cheap shots are going to change the fact that if they are illegally here, they have already broken the law. The small 2,900 round up of illegals this past week (drop in the bucket) turned up ALOT of bad people. I would say it was over and above the “norm” of what a certain amount would have in it of repeat offenders and felons. I am currently unemployed. I have a Bachelors Degree and I am on my way to earning a Masters degree. Dont tell me Americans wont do or are too lazy to do certain jobs. I will unload trucks, stock shelves, clean bathrooms, pick strawberries, mow lawns or do just about anything I can to earn money. I worked in the stock room for minimum wage in the wee hours of the morning while most of you were enjoying your sleep.
When my family came to the United States from Italy, they went through all of the necessary steps to become citizens including undergoing numerous medical tests, and completing all necessary documentation to become legal citizens. The first thing they did when they arrived was LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH and adhere to the culture. Is this asking too much? When did this prerequisit change?

Pardon my previous Reply. I was flustered. I still agree with it but that sounded a bit harsh. Being illegal makes life impossible and it is illegal in the first place but the only thing wanted is to be legal, but that costs a a lot of money, which is why immigrants are here in the first place ( money to provide a better life for one’s family ) . What is wrong with wanting to provide for one’s family. Immigrants run risks by being here, but they are willing to do that in order to give their children most importantly, a life they deserve. Look at the story behind all the constitutional terms and what not. Because everyone has a story. Making at least 10 times more money for 100 times the work to have money to treat loved sick ones, or children left back in their home country, or wanting a better life, or being brought into the country at a very young age against the child’s will (not even remembering a memory of what was before being in the U.S) and being raised and educated here but getting to the age of needing a job or a simple college scholarship and finding out you can’t get one..Graduating in the Top 10 of the best educated schools of the nation and still know that after college, finding a job will be almost impossible..

Alex, it is still illegal what they are doing. I think you will find, if you do some research, that it is far harder than what you may think to get citizenship in other countries. Yes, there are illegal immigrants who only come to the US to cause harm and traffic drugs, but there are many who just come here to better their lives and work. they harm no one, and honestly, so many americans just throw their lives away and do nothing with it. Americans are citizens, they dont have to be watching over their back for immigration patrols or cops, they can get jobs almost anywhere, get aid to go to college and make something of themselves, pretty much, americans have it made but most dont take advantage of it. They spend their time living on government assistance. Not all, but most citizens do and these immigrants just want to work to provide for their families. Its a shame that these people cannot recieve a simple card just to be in the US. First of there are plenty of jobs out there for American citizens . The only thing is that they don’t want to take those jobs because they are to difficult for them to preform … You will never see a white man or women working out in the fields picking up tomatoes, oranges, or any of that stuff. I agree with the fact that laws should not be ignored and they should be changed (not that it’s possible to change anything when congress can’t agree to anything).

Sounds to me like it’s being assumed that the illegal aliens will eventually commit a crime. This is not a fair assumption. Many illegal aliens left their countries in search of a better future, better jobs and stability and SECURITY. They are not all here to commit crimes.
Second of all, the jobs they take up are not always jobs Americans would do.
Most of the illegal immigrants don’t have a higher level education (if they did they would probably have less of a problem staying in their own country).
The majority of Americans do not face a significant competition for illegal immigrants.

So, what you are saying (and it amazes me), is that after coming here ILLEGALLY, allow that illegal immigrant to stay here unless or until he/she commits a crime and are proven guilty. It just seemed to me that deportation was being presented as the right thing to do based on avoiding future crimes and not on the illegality of crossing a country without being cleared by customs and immigration.

The point I was trying to make was this: Once it is known that the person is here illegally they should be deported, I didn’t mean to suggest they be deported before they were found guilty. We must not forget that coming to this country illegally is a crime and if found guilty they should be punished under the law, just as every other crime should be.

If it isn’t native americans than it was women, if not women than it was arican americans, if not african americans than it is those that physically looked like those from iraq, and if not from iraq than mexico or of latin origin. I resent my money being given to someone that will not try and help themselves! Yes, we know that there is abuse that happens here with the welfare system. The issue is coming here the correct way. If they want a life of peace and happiness, then do it the right way! Our families came here by doing it the right way. Has that become a thing of the past? Hum, For Mexicans to enter legally? Hum let’s see. First they would need to apply at the American embassy. Wait about 5 years for the application to be approved, the once approved then they would need submit another application with NVC and wait for that to be approved of course they would need to provide proof they have money an education and have a job. So now 10 years have have passed his application will probably be denied because he has no education and no money and no family members that can sponsor him so this Mexican person probably has a starving family, lives in a town controlled by thugs, drug dealers, and when he goes to the police he gets beat down because the police are owned by drug cartels. So he goes to work every day making $4 a day debating weather to cross that border… Hummm ME IN HIS SHOES HELL YES.. What would you do Steve? I’m not saying that crossing the border illegally is right I’m just saying the immigration is to strict against Mexicans and Mexico has this problem because of U.S corporate America and the cheap labor. As long as Mexico is controlled by drug dealers these American corporations will continue to exploit the Mexican people. We help the nations overseas more then our neighbors.

There are alot of people that work for minimum wage in the US. It still boils down to being illegal to come here without applying to do so. The problem with Mexico is Mexico’s problem, however we give alot of money to them as well as alot of countries around the world. Where does that money go? In some fat cats wallet? Is there a written law somewhere that says the USA is responsible for every country in the world that can’t or won’t take care of themselves?Just look around here and see we have our OWN problems. So, we are still to blame and you think it is their right to come here and take what they want in this country? What about people applying the correct way? Do they have to sit back and be put on hold because we just don’t have any more money to take care of more people? By the way, I worked thru highschool to pay for my gas and insurance and clothes, etc, for $3.25 an hour, I was darn glad to have the job. I didn’t have much of a social life, but I had a car and learned some skills and had self respect, so “lazy”, I was not. That being said,
the people that criticize the lazy Americans and take jobs here illegally need to work with their government to clean up the act in their own country so they CAN earn a living wage. There is a lot of people that come here illegally to have a better life, just because you are born in a country, doesn’t mean you have to stay in it for the rest of your life, especially if there is no opportunities there. People that want to better themselves come to the US to make a better living, have a better quality of life, and for the most important; to provide their family with the best. I came here as a child, and my parents are good people, unlike a lot of citizens that are greedy and don’t want to give people opportunities just because they stereotype. My parents have not committed any crime, either here or in Mexico, they simply came because they were tired of not having enough food to feed my two sisters and myself. Did they want to? Of course not, they loved the land where they were born and raised in, but like I said; there isn’t opportunities there. Therefore, you have to find better ways to live life. They are both working in a non-criminal way. By this i mean, they don’t do anything illegally that will harm society. They both work in factories, and they both get TAXES deducted from their paychecks and see almost nothing back come 2k time. People like my parents and myself should be granted legal status. People should be investigated so not just any criminal that sells drugs in the streets gets legal status. People should be investigated and found either guilty or not guilty of crimes such as drug trafficking, DUI’s, domestic violence, or any other felony. Not all people are the same… You can’t compare the devil to an angel. A lot of us are good people. The whole immigration laws should be re-written. It will do America a big big big favor, and bring the economy to a better stand.

Yes it has, Steve. Like I stated a couple months ago, this is the post that keeps on giving. Maybe some feel that if they continue to say how bad their countries are that we will just say “well come on in then”, but I don’t think it is working. You work with what you are dealt and they need to stay in their own countries and change what is happening. We have our own issues here, to add more to them is not the way it should work. Apparently we can no longer even question if someone is here illegally, unless there is another crime committed. When does it end? What about all of the homeless that are legal citizens, do they get the same kind of help that illegals get? The answer to that is NO! Our homeless vets are treated horribly, surely they should be helped for the service they did for their counrty? I don’t see it happening. But, as usual, the USA will bend over backwards for others, but not for their own. This is a sad state of affairs.

Steve Dennis, I know my parents could have gone about it a different way. But when your desperate for a better life, you just do things. You don’t wait to be homeless like LOU says, there is a lot of homeless citizens in the streets, even VETS. But why DO YOU think that is? Because they don’t strive for a better life. They could very well look for a job, even if its minimum wage and work themselves up. There is no such thing like that in Mexico, there is only jobs that will pay you 500 pesos for a whole weeks job, that’s the equivalent of 40-45 US dollars, even if you wanted to have a better life you can’t unless you never slept and had six. 8 dollars an hour stretches a long long way, people just don’t see it like that. Every time I see a homeless vet I give them at least a dollar or two. I can name a few on the top of my head, they each have their little spot. My point being is that these homeless people decide that they are going to live their lives like that, you don’t need the governments aid to live a liveable life. And yes Steve, they did commit a crime for us. Wouldn’t you do the same thing if you only had a glass of milk and a couple cookies for all three of your kids. I dont know if you have kids, but imagine yourself in the worst case scenario, where you are trying so hard to make it to the next day. The only food you have is for your kids and you go to to sleep with nothing in your stomach because you only had the least amount for your kids. I’m not saying it was right for my parents to come here in the illegal way, but it was the right thing to do morally. We did not have an easy life as children, but now almost 20 years later, is a different story. It’s true when they say you make your life story based on your decisions. Because if my parents wouldn’t have decided to come here, who knows what would have become of our lives. There is a lot of people suffering of hunger, and violence all over the world, not just Mexico, so I am GLAD my parents made that life decision, otherwise I don’t know what would have become of us. Seeing all these opportunities laid out for us is how it was supposed to be, you can’t say we did it the wrong way morally. Life is Life and we can live it freely, and go where ever we want if it means it will better our lives. Now I am waiting on my RESIDENCY, I will have to go to MEXICO and go through all the legal work. It took me a while after I got married to decide that I want a legal status, because I didn’t see it important, I went back to school a year ago, and now I see I need it, not to go to Mexico, since I was raised in the US i feel like I belong here, I don’t have any desire to go to Mexico. But I know my parents do, therefore, I will become a citizen afterwards and fix their legal status as well. And yes Lou your right, its dumb for the US to re write the laws. I understand what your saying. This is a topic that should be understood from allllllllllll sides and angles, & from different perspectives.

There are many Americans struggling just to get by under Obama’s recession and they are looking for jobs and will take whatever they can find. I worked at a staffing agency and the number of LEGAL AMERICAN people that walked in there to get jobs was BIG! but they were only doing it to keep getting their unemployment check ( Check in at random jobs to show that they were TRYING) but when a job came available they would ask what it paid, what does it entitle, is it on the weekends, can i show up at 10? Really! And when it the job was handed over to a Mexican (legal or not) they would not question it just go for it! So really – The AMERICANS are the ones that are NOT taking the jobs that are being offered to them! SO NO Mexicans are NOT taking ANYONE’S JOB they are doing what NEEDS to be DONE!!!!!

I employ about 45 American,Mexican And several Different Asians,,I will take a Mexican worker over most Americans any day, they do the job and don’t cry about everything they have to do for the money they agreed to do it for. they don’t stand around and talk on my time when they should be working, so that I can keep getting jobs to pay them, And I would Take an Asian over a Mexican any day they work even harder, I don’t cheat any of them, I pay them equal to the American worker, Dollar for Dollar, By the way the Americans are the only ones that are continually having to ask for pay advances because they drunk their pay check, they didn’t have the sense to save some of it, the average guy for me makes over $700.00 weekly, So before any of you run your mouths about any one go hire someone and pay they out of your own pocket.

It is crazy. Why should we accept people coming here illegally and getting jobs and gov assistance when there are people here that cant get these things. I have seen in some of the earlier posts someone said that they come here illegally for the sake of making a better life for their families and that should not be a crime. Well with logic like that Should I be able to come break into your house and live there just because your house is bigger, in a nicer neighborhood, and has better schools? Because that would be better for my family in my eyes. However that is ILLEGAL so to get these things I go about it the right way and work for them.

Steve, I guess we should follow Monica’s comment about the thumbs, now that I have pondered on it for a bit. We spend so much time actually trying to post a well thought out comment that we forget to give people the thumbs up. I imagine Monica and people with her same opinions come here only to criticize and give us the thumbs down, don’t you? Hey Steve, check this one out.. I was deported and am sitting in TJ Mexico, brought my small manufacturing business here, and have suffered a lot because I was separated from my two Children, and US citizen Wife.. Fortunately, turns out that is a good long term experience, since My wife has put a petition for me, and am about to come back to the US legally with a green card so I could come in and out of the US as I feel like it.
I did commit some crimes (Felonies)..Thats why I was deported, but I found out all “your Country” (the US) wanted, is a sum of $2200 Dllrs, and 6 Months out deported before they could allow me to come back LAGALLY.. wow.. it was a good thing after all then (for me of course) not for you guys that are complaining that we “the Hispanics” take your Jobs and all.. so neither you or your country are ever going to end your disconfort with “Illegals” since they deport us, and give us a green card 6-8 Months later..

America was built by immigrants. I did a research project with the initial stand that illegal immigration was wrong, but by the end of all the RESEARCH and project part, I had changed my stance. Illegal immigration work being cheap and efficient is economically savvy. And, saying that an illigal immigrant will commit a crime is like saying every Middle Eastern is a terrorist. Very ignorant. Marina, no one is saying that they are not hard workers, no one has ever said that on this blog. No one has ever said that they WILL commit a crime, just because of being here illegally. However,the fact still remains that the first thing they DO coming across the border without the proper paperwork, IS an illegal act in and of itself. Sounds to me like it’s time for the United States to make a few law amendments so we can stop calling them “illegals” “criminals”. The United States has always amended mistakes within the law we do it all the time. Since the beginning we all know our history let’s see the white man enslaved African American people for generation so the law was changed. Segregation for generations so the law was changed. And now we call people coming to this country for a better life “criminals” and “illegals” because they broke the law.. Ok I get it.. It makes sense, so then let’s change the law. I agree with the fact the we need to control immigration and have accountability but facts are facts the more we try to criminalize migration of human necessity the more we hurt this country economically and morally. Something needs to be done I don’t even like calling them “Aliens” really? Is that the new “N” word?. America needs to wake up we need to enforce our borders enforce our security I get that more then you know! I fought the Taliban in the rigid mountains of Afghanistan and went house by house in Iraq looking for our enemies I’ve lost some long life friends the sacrificed their lives for this country so security is everything but truth be known I felt safer walking the streets of Iraq then crossing the border in to Mexico. We need to help these poor people in an organized and lawful matter we know the rich can get in to the United States but what about the poor? All they want is a better life for their families, and because they are willing to work minimum wage in America’s industrial and agricultural jobs it makes it so the Unites States continues to grow as the economic super power we are. Think about it ever since we started mass deportations we are now paying almost $5 dollars for milk and other produce that normally would be way less. Let’s change the LAW lets track our migrant workers lets influence legal migration seasonal migration that way both party’s win. let’s enforce our borders to keep the real criminals out Terrorist’s being number 1, drug dealers, Gangbangers, child molesters, rapist, drunk drivers. Make everyone that enters this country finger print identity just like the DMV does. If we track legal migration it would be easy for police to assist Homeland Security in immigration law basically if you get stopped and have no valid I.D then you will be turned over to INS if they investigate you are a criminal where ever weather in Mexico or the united states your out. Automatic deportation but if its someone that just wants to better their life they are working and provides proof give them a temporary seasonal visa, don’t brand him as a “criminal” because he didn’t get inspected upon entering the country. We can learn a lot from migrant workers how they enter without inspection to enforce our borders. Tons of drugs get in to the country on a daily basis that’s what we need to focus on.

September 11 2001 changed The United States for ever because the attackers were immigrants a lot of hasty immigration decisions were made for which I understand and agree with [at the time]. Now technology has changed and The Department of Homeland Security was formed A Border wall was built and it’s now 11 years later and hasty immigration decisions that were made now need to be ratified to fit today’s time. America is slowly falling in to a recession unemployment rates are up even with jobs available in the agriculture and industrial fields. Why don’t Americans want these jobs it’s simple really! Americans receive more from welfare, food stamps, and that unemployment check then if they were working minimum wage 8+ hours a day under the sun or a hot factory making Oscar Meyer hot dogs for 8hrs a day. So you gather those facts and of course they don’t want to work unless a job pops up paying them more then food stamps, welfare, and that unemployment check, hell I would stay home to and “look for a job” collecting American tax payer dollars until I found that perfect job NOT MAKING MINIMUM WAGE. Americans are ignorant to the fact that an UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANT (CAN NOT) receive welfare, food stamps, or unemployment because they are UNDOCUMENTED! They have no I.D and no social security number without those important documents they are denied almost all American benefits except emergency care and education which is why they work in America’s most unwanted jobs. A lot of undocumented immigrant workers use fake social security numbers or a relatives social security number to work so that means at the end of the year they can’t file any taxes? So what happens if the government owes them money? Or if they owe the government money? For which I highly doubt; I don’t think you will owe the government much at the end of the year if you’re making minimum wage. I remember in high school and college working fast food at the end of the year I’d still get back about $200. Back to the point America causes their own economic crashes those politicians are at sleep at the wheel or what’s going on? American Education system has taught us to strive for the best I remember my teachers telling me not to end up at a job working minimum wage. So how do we get Americans to except minimum wage jobs? When we teach from the very start not to end up at a minimum wage job?, Cut their unemployment check, cut their welfare, and those food stamps then maybe in the middle of starving to death, losing their homes, and losing their family’s they will except that minimum wage job but if they don’t then we won’t need to worry about a recession and walk right in to another great depression probably worst today then in 1929 just because there is more people. That 30% you see above which are immigrants and right now 11% of those immigrants are undocumented all I’m saying is give them credit give them a face we are way to advanced to continue to live with people working for America under false ID’s give them their Identity let them have Temporary visas to work then after 10yrs of paying taxes and working for the U.S they can option to stay as residents let them earn the right to be a permanent resident. Another fact we need to consider and a very important fact! Most immigrant’s pay big money to bring their families in to the united stated unchecked undocumented which according to today’s laws makes them illegal immigrant’s the reason why is because these migrant workers who cross the border to illegally after years of working here begin to miss their family’s so they they bring them kids wife sisters everything! There is always a price for freedom no matter where you live or migrate to. If there are people who will risk their lives and family’s lives to prove that they deserve to live here then they should do so. Those who think they can get away with anything cause they are basically nonexistence should be sent away. The Laws will not go away but they can be changed or modified to accommodate the changing times. If America makes immigration changes legalize the workers then they can cross the border legally after seasonal jobs are done and visit family without the need to bring them all to the United States illegally. They can’t do that now because the minute they cross that border back in to Mexico or what ever country they are from then they will not be coming back. Kind of reminds me of the Berlin wall in Germany. I wrote all this because as I scroll up I notice a lot blame put on immigrants for Americas recession and unemployment rates.

Listen, most of the illegals, and I say most, come here to seek for a better life for their families, they are working people, who some of them leave their families behind, they go through loneliness, uncertainty, and fear of a new place, but they are taking the last chance of survival. That is not a crime, I do not think they are thinking they will do something illegal at that moment. That knowledge comes to them when it is mentioned to them after they have already entered. Are there some crimes committed by illegals, yes, so are there crimes committed by citizens and residents, there are rotten people in all levels, you cannot possibly kicked them all out. On the other hand I think some people are spending too much time into something that is not actually damaging the economy or the lives of others; yet all the terrorist that have killed people by the hundreds are LEGAL. Focus on the right track, while the terrorist that are planning to kill people in our backyard are in our schools, workplaces with the proper documentation, some spend their time persecuting normal people trying to survive.

I was born and raised here in America, and I am very proud to be an American. No doubt about that. My family is from South America, and I have to say that I get the best of both worlds. I experience both cultures equally. One of my family members came to America illegally through Mexico and arrived here with just the clothes on their back. Their first job was cleaning disgusting places and things for less then what minimum wage is today. Their objective was to work for a couple of years and do nothing but save money and eventually go back to South America to live a somewhat of a better life. Yes, it is true a lot of people come to this country commit crime and do illegal things but that’s everywhere you go. As Americans we can go pretty much anywhere in the world, with the exception of Cuba. Yet, these people don’t complain of us going and in some cases living and working in their country. I get it. THEIR ARE A LOT OF ILLEGAL immigrants here in the U.S. But they’re people as well in other countries where the government is terrible and does not care. We are very fortunate and blessed that we live in a country where we have great opportunities to work, eat good food, and be successful if we want. What these people want (IN MOST CASES) is the same kind of opportunities to provide a better way of living for their families or themselves. I understand it is the law for them to not be here. Like I was saying, my relative(s) arrived here with just the clothes on their back and not a dime in their pocket. Today he/she is the owner of a business that takes place in NYC, NJ, and in Boston, MA. He/she can now vote. This is the dream of an illegal alien. To succeed, and have a better life. Not to destroy American’s lives or steal the work of Americans. After all this is the “UNITED” States of America. Everyone should be treated equally. should we accept criminals? No. Just like American criminals should not have the privilege to be free and out in society doing what’s wrong. How many homeless people do you see out in the street everyday, every hour begging others and shaking a cup of coins while you walk to work or to school in a city? Where I live it’s a lot. And I guarantee that these people are Americans. My point is that they are not here to do any harm. For those that come here to commit crime, yes they should not be here or they should be deported. What about Americans going to another country to commit crime?.. Yes they should be deported as well. I have many acquaintances that are immigrants and I know for a fact that MOST of them are here to work and then go back. They send money that THEY WORKED FOR to their families or save for whatever cause. Most of them work 2-3 jobs mostly at restaurants, construction, or any other lower cost labor jobs. Someone that comes to mind that I know goes from one job to the others and has about 4 hours after to eat and sleep before he starts again. Im not saying there isn’t but it’s rare that you see and American work like this. I don’t know of any. The bottom line is we should acknowledge the hard work that these people bring into this country, and what they are really here for. I love America and I am truly proud to be an American, but that doesn’t make me better than people from other countries.

I employ about 45 American,Mexican And several Different Asians,,I will take a Mexican worker over most Americans any day, they do the job and don’t cry about everything they have to do for the money they agreed to do it for. they don’t stand around and talk on my time when they should be working, so that I can keep getting jobs to pay them, And I would Take an Asian over a Mexican any day they work even harder, I don’t cheat any of them, I pay them equal to the American worker, Dollar for Dollar, By the way the Americans are the only ones the are continually having to ask for pay advances because they drunk their pay check, they didn’t have the sense to save some of it, the average guy for me makes over $700.00 weekly, So before any of you run your mouths about any one go hire someone and pay they out of your own pocket.

After reading this article, I just wanted to say that this new immigration law is not only going to affect the Hispanic community, It will affect the Jamaican, Asian, Hatian etc. I am extremely happy about this new law and I am an american citizen! by the way a lot of jobs that are open right now for americans, most refuse to take it as though it’s beneath them, so why not allow the illegal immigrants the oppurtunity to take them, work, make money and pay taxes and not live off the country for free! stop being selfish.

I strongly believe that the president, on his own, does not have the full power to make any laws. The constitution was build this way so that can, “Protect common people so as to protect individual liberty.” Early Americans, “Wanted to ensure the survival of a republican from of government,….” The reason it was build like that was, so that the people can have the right to vote as well as given full power to one man can cost strong distraction for the hole nation. When one man have full power, he becomes selfish. The people no longer have the freedom that our founders build in the constitution. I grew up as an orphan from the time I was born. I grew up in Europe during the time when the communists people took everything from the hard working people and gave it to people who did not wanted to work hard or at all. I have seen how one man who has all the power can change very quickly and become selfish and dangerous for the nation. Dear Americans, I am asking you to not bite the idea of Obama doing the right thing about the illegal immigration in America. What I am trying to tell you is that the bigger problem is not about the immigrants/immigration, the bigger problem is that Obama is making a law by taking a full power that has not been given to him by the constitution or the articles of confederation. Obama is using the immigration debate to take fully the federal power. In the book, America a Narrative History, the authors, Tindall and Shi, wrote In November 1777 a committee headed by John Dickson produced a draft constitution, Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union. “The central government envisaged by the Articles of Confederation had little authority. Congress was intended not as a legislature, nor as a sovereign entity unto itself, but as a collective substitute for the monarch. In essence it was to be a legislative body serving as the nation’s chief executive.” (p169). Like I said the case is no longer about the issue of immigration, the case is about Obama obeying the federal constitution. Going to the topic, I am for hard working people and honest people who respect every individual equal and with respect. I do believe that there are people who are illegally here, but at the same time they have no mind set to harm anybody, but to help their families, which is the right thing to do. But the issue has to be taken in the right way fallowed by the articles of confederation. I pray that all Americans will see the real issue. The real issue is that Obama wants to control with full power, which is against the federal constitution.

I own a restaurant and it seems that no legal Americans are willing to work at this job that is beneath them. It pays well above minimum wage. Too many people are staying home for unemployment rather than taking a job. Take this from someone who is hiring 7 days a week. 365 days a year.

alright guys enough with the hate leave good old Steve alone hes only making his point of view on how he sees things. i personally agree with what obama is doing with this, i honestly dont like him as a president and think he has just hurt the US this whole time hes been president but this is actually good bc if all illegals ended up going back to mexico or whatever the came from then a lot of companies would close bc honestly its kinda late to send them all back when they have become a great part of our economy, yes it is unfair for the people that got here legally and have to wait but all this plan is doing is just giving a permanent permit to work legally its not giving them citizenship so technically no one is gonna have to do extra waiting on their paper to go through and in a way that would help keep some of those mexis under control bc to be able to qualify for one of those permits they need to have no criminal record even a simple DUI would hurt them and would just put them in deportation if the even tried to apply. What you fail to realize is that I am talking about the systm used to pass this law and not the law itself. We have a constitution and the constitution sets up the proper proceedure to pass laws. The Congress has to pass the law through the House and the Senate before the president can sign it, but that isn’t what happened here. Obama just decreed new law on his own and that is where the problem lies.

I am in favor of passing things like the DREAM act. I think if an undocumented immigrant wants to come over here and fight for your country to show their love and dedication to us in exchange for ‘papers’. Why not? I have served in the Army with some amazing people, and let me tell you they are not all Americans. They are Africans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans. Canadians, etc. I feel that being as we are ALL here as a result of ‘illegals’ that we should ALL be required to ‘earn our keep.’ I did my time, I served my country, I broke my back and was given a maximum of 15 years to walk. What have YOU done? I will support any law that they will put in front of undocumented aliens because EVERYONE deserves a chance for success and not all of them knowingly commited a crime. I have tried countless times to get my fellow American friends to do the job that my husband does there is always openings however since it is seasonal, in the hot weather hard physical labor at minimum wage, none of them want to do it. My husband and I work year round do our taxes, if we have to pay back we pay, so I think that some people need to rethink their opinions about illegals. Not all of them are evil animals looking to steal your way of life, they just want something better for themselves and do almost any job necessary to get a start on it no matter how hard and how many hours they have to put in without benefits overtime or risk of self injury. Hell my husband faces injury every single day and has no insurance to cover it so if anything happens we pay out of pocket for every penny and YES we pay our doctor bills.

And if you look at the united states it is the citizens using up our welfare systems and assistance, not because of illegals but because of pure laziness. For example my brother in law has not lifted a finger to work in about 4 years not because he is unable to but because he is pure lazy, my sister as well. They used up all their cash assistance and are living out of government housing because they do not want to work harder to earn more money to get a better life or place of their own. haha i mean come on who pays 25 dollars a month for rent anywhere but government housing?! My opinion about this is. Do you see americans building the streets you drive on? Because I dont, I see alot of mexicans building it are they doing a crime they dont have papers and that is illiegal but they just came here for a better life. Im, come in this country for legal,i fall in love for one girl who is my wife now 8 years,also have two kids.
I start learn english on the laptop than start talking people,i work 14-16 hours /day to make my family the some level than the americans have .
We also try to do anything to get the papers witch the american born with.
I pay tax ,but i don’t have to i do everything just like the americans.
I work with chickens import them raise and sell, dirty but i love it.

I love how it is always people in the upper middle to upper class who are championing the right for illegal immigrants to stay, citing “they have done no wrong.” or my favorite, “They are only taking jobs no-one wants.” Anyone who doesn’t have a college education (People with college degree’s are not generally competing against Illegals at an interview) or an ivory tower to observe to world from can tell you that illegal immigration hurts the working class the most. Only 4% of illegals work picking crops with the majority working service industry, construction, or production jobs. Jobs that used to be that back bone of the non college educated American work force. So really, they are only taking the jobs that rich people don’t want, not Americans.

Steve, I only say this because in general people that comment on this subject are not really thinking about the consequences of immigration border enforcement. Most people when you mention the word immigrant the first thing they think of is “Mexican” but there are Mexicans, Chinese, Korean, African and so on. Most professional high paying jobs are taken Chinese, Korean, or Arabic immigrants so why are “Mexicans” being focused? My problem was with the fact you called my entire blog racist based on one post on illegal immigration in which I did not even mention race other than to point out Obama was talking in front of laRazza when in fact I cover a number of current events and illegal immigration is only one–that was quite the generalization.
Most of the people who brought up race in the comments are people on the left who try to use that to paint me and other supporters of cracking down on illegal immigration as racists when in fact we are talking about all people who come to this country illegally.
THis is not a matter of race, it is a matter of the rule of law and I don’t have a problem with anyone who decides to make a better life for themselves in this country regardless of their race as long as they do it legally. This post was about the rule of law and about how Barack Obama didn’t follow the constitutional process to implement this new law. We can have a debate about how to deal with this issue, but Barack Obama did this own his own, bypassing both the Congress and the debate process and that is where my problem lies.

I see your point, but your blog still has a lot of in-accuracy’s starting with the base statement of this blog. As of today July 5, 2012 only one law has the president skipped congress over immigration law and that is the dream act for minors living and going to school here in the United States. The way I understand it, undocumented minors living in the United States that have no criminal record and have been going to school here for longer than 5 years will be able to apply for a temporary education visa starting Aug 1, 2012. Since Sep 11, 2001 that is about the only immigration law that has changed. The rest are just political promises and propaganda for immigration reform. Steve I understand your point about the people that cross in to this country illegally to not to award them for crossing illegally but understand one thing this country is run by the rich people and the only people that go through the proper procedures to get in to The United States are the rich the people that really have no desperate driving force to risk their lives to cross that border illegally. Another important point that your blog misses on the very first statement you made in this blog “It is a double win for Obama, he gets more people on the government doel and more voters at the same time” you said this as a response to someone’s post, but if you do your research you will find that in order to vote you must be a U.S citizen with a valid social security number and I.D and Voter Registration card. All these things are un-obtainable by an undocumented immigrant even immigrants with resident alien cards cannot obtain a voter registration card because they lack U.S citizenship. I think you misunderstood what I meant about Obama gaining votes by this. I did not mean the illegals granted amnesty would be voting (although with no voter ID laws it is possible for some of them to committ voter fraud) what I was referring to was the fact that this was an attempt to gain the votes of more legal Hispanic voters by making a move with which they will likely approve.

Simple as it is:
1. Illegals CAN’T vote! PERIOD!
2. American citizens are not potential employees for the positions taken by illegals in this country! If we send them back home, we simply either have to take those dirty jobs ourselves, or we’re screwed! American lazy asses, are you going to work as slaves, 25 hours a day for $5-$6 per hour? NO, you are not! You’d rather be on welfare or unemployment! Small business owners, what will happen to you, if these illegal immigrants are sent back?! You’ll be fucked! What will happen when small businesses are fucked? Keep guessing yourselves… This is a political policy to keep these illegals as cockroaches, and if their being in the country is not beneficial for us, I believe, they would be exterminated long ago! This process is more controllable, then our political leaders draw it.

i think if you are a united citizen and your husband is not legal here but you are married for over 5 yrs and you have kids with a illegal alien i think they should not be able to deport them if they have only committed one crime and has a steady job for over a 3 yr period i think it would be wrong unless the crime was rape, or murder or that person is being in the court system every other month then yeah but at least give them a chance they do us.

First things first, I don’t care for your language, but you are entitled to post that way. What negative comments you have put. The world is NOT a pretty place to live anymore and we do NOT owe you (if it applys) OR the children brought here ILLEGALLY anything. Their parents are responsible for this and they need to take them back to the country that they were from. Lou222 you are an idiot! First of all the dream act is not just for Mexicans it’s for all non-documented children of every race! African, Chinese, Hispanic or whatever. But they need to qualify for it according to the standards put forward by Homeland Security. And Lou222 you are very ignorant also because everyone pays taxes and these kids have been living here for years some are in college now so think about it AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS paid for their education why would we send them back to their country. Another thing to think about smart guy, is the fact that in order to qualify for the dream act you need to graduate from high school! So think about it buddy… Most Americans that don’t graduate from High school usually end up on SSI, welfare, or prison if not living off parents so we need to fill in the gap of these losers. They get deported.. so unlike the some of our loser American kids we have running around getting DUI’s and getting arrested at Marty gross, drinking in public at the beach, beating their girlfriends or whatever. Dream act participants will get deported for any reckless 2nd class misdemeanor or any felonies at that. So quit your crying Lou222 and use your brain to get at the real issues like health care and how our government embezzles millions of dollars on foreign companies that export to the United States instead of employing Americans. Or maybe we should look at the American war effort in apghanistan and Iraq and how American Tax dollars are being used to rebuild those two war torn country’s.. This is extremely Steve Dennis, but you did hint at your distaste of Hispanic illegal immigrants in the last sentence of your post. If you did not mean to, you should much more careful with your expression. Also, your statement about The United States gaining land as benefits of victory is not entirely true. If you will remember the events before the Trail of Tears, the Supreme Court ruled to honor the sovereignty of the Cherokee Nation and its land, but the Congress and President Andrew Jackson thought otherwise. This prejudice and preconception of others is not new. Frankly, I find it honorable to allow an individual the benefit of the doubt before categorizing them with a group of people different from them. Also, I have no idea where anybody could ever get the idea that illegal immigration leads to crime, but please expose the facts to back that up, and not just personal stories. COLD HARD FACTS. Finally, understand that many of the jobs that illegal immigrants have are jobs that American citizens would not take. Come to terms with that reality. As Americans, we are, in general, so pampered. Why can’t these people have jobs that we wouldn’t take anyway. I would understand if you concerned for their livelihood or safety, but you display neither.

Melinda, The Obama Administration is on a mission. 1) add loyal voters that would be the Mexican Immigrants that will soon be coming by invitation from Obama. These Immigrants will be so happy to work because their families back home will be able to eat. No welfare or food stamps in Mexico so the people know how to work to survive. 2) all these new workers will bring down the cost of wages. When this happens there will be enough loyal working immigrants to replace the welfare loyal voters and the govt will do away with welfare as we know it. 3) At this point ex welfare ( some of which have not worked in 3 generations because it was more profitable to them to be on welfare than do field or construction work) people will come looking for the jobs that the Mexican Immigrants are so happily doing and will drive the Wage down even more at this point the welfare people that are so used to entitlements will start rioting and stealing the things they need from people who have prepared for this, Fighting will break out amongst the people in a large scale and the Savior govt will come through with marshal law and remove all the good peoples weapons, Then the real killing will begin.

I am immigrant, originally from Egypt and I am studying engineering and I got my bachelor degree from here US, and now pursuing a masters degree. And to be honest with you guys Steve didn’t say anything wrong. He has a point, which simply it’s not right to illegally come to the USA, without respecting the law of this country and hoping to change your status and be legally. While, in the mean time there are million and millions of people trying to come legally and having a very hard time because they respect the law of this country. However, Obama can simply make it easier for the people who are trying to get their papers done and come legally. Also, last but not least guys please don’t forget that the illegal immigration in everywhere, in all of the countries is a crime and no one should support it or encourage it. Btw I have no right to work here because I am on F1 visa and like every foreigner hoping that I can have chance to permanently live and work here.
