Gunrunner: How did Eric Holder deny knowing about Fast and Furious before he claims he knew about Fast and Furious?

October 14, 2011

Did the title of this post make any sense to you? If it did not I will attempt to clear it up by sharing the following video of an interview conducted at CNN (of all places) with you:

Back on May 3rd of this year Eric Holder testified under oath that he only learned about Operation Fast and Furious “over the last few weeks,”  so how was in possible for Eric Holder to make it perfectly clear to Barack Obama that he knew nothing about this scandal back in March while talking to the president if he had only recently learned of the scandal sometime in April? And how is it that an Inspector General was supposedly assigned to the case without Eric Holder’s knowledge?

Looks like someone is lying here (and speaking of lying, does anyone really believe that Obama learned about the scandal while watching the news?) in an attempt to coordinate the official message but as so often happens when you weave a web of deceit and lies you cannot keep your stories straight and it appears as if this has happened in this case. If Eric Holder and Barack Obama expect to cover this scandal up they will have to start by getting on the same page.

  The plot thickens…..

Okay, at the risk of sounding harsh, GIVE ME A BREAK! If the President, any President, had to learn about an operation like Fast and Furious from the news, heads should roll. It what Obama is saying is true, doubtful though that may be, his staff are falling down flat on their jobs.

Obama’s staff falling down on the job? Surely not…

      And I didn’t call you Shirley… 😛

You know what Fred? This regime is so inept I probably wouldn’t be surprised if he learned about this in the news.

He was trying to cover his ass, there is no way that he first heard about this on the news and if he did you are 100% right–heads should roll.

I’m beginning to wonder if Eric Holder is a Venezuelan. Here, when people use the term “the other day” they be talking about something from one or two years ago. I drives me crazy when my wife does that and I’m trying to remember back a day or two and she is talking ancient history.

Interesting point, C on F! Looks like you just gave this administration another excuse there, haha! Want to bet that they are combing the internet blogs to find rational excuses for why this happened? Would not put it past them.

I didn’t realize that Venezuelans had not concept of time but I wouldn’t be surprised if Eric Holder used this line of defense! 🙂

So, back in March Obama watched it on the news, said AG Holder knew nothing about it then, but an IG was appointed? Hmmmm, something smacks of deceit here! Appears that AG Holder knew about it in March, so he must have “forgotten” about it again, til April. How does an IG get appointed without his knowledge? Must have “forgotten” about appointing one! Then one of his underlings must have “forgotten” to inform him of all of this. It appears that there is alot of “forgetting” going on at the White House, doesn’t it? LD, I think the AG’s staff needs to be replaced if they are that forgetful and don’t keep their boss informed! There, that is the problem, the STAFF, not AG Holder, right? I have solved the problem, we replace the staff and everything will be ok. Wow, who knew it would be this easy. Move along, nothing else to see here!!!!!!

They really are twisting themselves in knots trying to distance themselves from this scandal, aren’t they? The problem is that they have lied so much that they can’t keep their stories straight.

It really is starting to get fun, is that wrong? I want to see these people squirm and they have nobody to blame but themselves but it is sad that thisis the point we have reached in our government.
I really am starting to feel vindicated for covering this story so much because sometimes I feel as if I am covering it too much at the expense of other stories, but this could be the biggest scandal in US history and I cannot let it go!

As I said before, they were “larger than life” and it is now coming around to bite them in the butt. You cover what you feel is the most important, you have your priorities and you stick to them. It is YOUR blog, so I think it is your call. Please continue what you are doing.

Timely article I read about this today how Obama’s testimony will be the kiss of death to Holder.

I can’t understand why Obama is not on the hot seat and why an investigation of HIM hasn’t begun yet.

The subpoena issued to Holder also asks for emails related to a White House aide so this may be getting close to Obama.

Harrison, guess they are going to save the best for last. It sure has some suspense to it, doesn’t it? I wonder if anyone will make a movie out of this in the future and who will play the parts. This whole thing is a nightmare, isn’t it? And Steve, as to the emails, I bet the shredders are working overtime in ALL the departments, because they all have blood on their hands.

You’re right. They’re not even on the same page. My question is this; how is this not a much bigger scandal than Watergate. I mean Watergate eventually led to the resignation of a President. How is this not much bigger?

John, it IS bigger, you are right. However, if they say it isn’t enough times then a big majority of people believe them. Watergate covered up something pretty trivial by today’s standards…what F&F is now, is massive and has deaths. To think that it is not bigger, well, I am not sure what those people are thinking, if they think Watergate was big. Nixon did the honorable thing by resigning, but this ONE, will never do that, will he!!!!
