Gunrunner: Eric Holder plays the race card

December 19, 2011

Eric Holder has sunk to a new low, if that is possible. The Attorney General is unable to defend what is at best his criminal negligence and at worst his criminal duplicity in the Fast and Furious scandal and so he has played the race card, claiming that he is under attack because he is black.

This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified  with him,” Holder said, according to the Times. “Both due to the nature of our  relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American

This is the last refuse of a desperate man; under his watch the Department of “Justice” has been stonewalling the Fast and Furious investigation, has been tampering with evidence and obstructing justice, he has perjured himself in front of the Congress so there is nothing left for Eric Holder to do but attempt to deflect the blame by claiming he is the victim of racism.

According to Eric Holder the death of two Americans and several hundred Mexicans–in addition to the list I compiled above–is just an excuse to bring a black man in power down, and his critics in the Congress are more concerned with putting a black man in his place rather than getting to the bottom of what just might be the largest scandal in the history of the United States. This is a despicable attack on the people who want to get to the truth about what happened that night in Peck Canyon and Eric Holder owes them an apology.

When speaking about race relations in the United States Eric Holder once quipped that America was a “nation of cowards,” yet it was Eric Holder who dropped the voter intimidation case involving the Black Panthers because he was too much of a coward to prosecute those whom he called “his people,” because he really wasn’t concerned if white voters were disenfranchised–he saw this as justifiable payback.

And now that Eric Holder is under fire for his role in Fast and Furious, instead of standing up and taking responsibility for the actions which happened under his watch in his Department of “Justice” Eric Holder has taken the cowardly position that he is only under attack because of the color of his skin in desperate hope that this will intimidate his critics into backing down.

I ask you, who is the coward now?

Attorney General Eric Holder has once again done what nearly ALL Black politicians of the Democratic persuasion do when the tide turns, he has pulled out The Race Card.

By throwing The Race Card Eric Holder has shown his desperation and fear. Holder can feel the walls closing in on him and his band of Merry Men, and hopefully, Holder’s coming fall will also take down his mentor, Barack Hussein Obama.

I’m sure Holder will see my views as RACIST, you know, since he and Obama are almost Black, but their skin color has nothing to do with it. Their criminal acts are the only issue I have with either of them and the entire administration.

The mainstream media is either silent or offering excuses for Holder and company.

I don’t know how much more America can stand. Barack Obama can NOT be successfully impeached, not as long as the Democrats hold control of the U.S. Senate, but if Obama and his evil minions aren’t removed, poste haste, this nation may not survive until the next election cycle.

Exactly Fred, Holder is desperate and the walls are closing in on him so he has thrown out the race card. But I do not think it will work because it is obvious to me that he was engaged in criminal activity and that is what the American people care about–not the color of his skin.

Why am I not surprised that he has resorted to claims of racism? The only real surprise is that it took him this long to make the claim.

It really isn’t surprising, is it Larry. The man is desperate and I don’t see how he can hang on much longer.

I couldn’t let this go either. I think all of us “extreme elements” should comment on this. Eric Holder should be unemployed and on trial. He knows it too, and his playing the race card is the classic tactic of trying to deflect from the real issue.

Exactly, he is trying to take the focus off of the real issue but I don’t think it is going to work because this is just too transparent.

It has nothing to do with the color of Holder or Obama’s skin. As a matter of fact as a person of beige skin color I wanted to see Herman Cain win the nomination. But Political Assassination by the main steam media has thwarted that.
Obama and Holder are lying sacks of horse manure and race has no domination on that front! I know equal numbers of beige, black, hispanic and asian people that lie as a way of making it through life!

For him to make that claim while he knows what he is covering up is outrageous, he can’t possibly think the American people or the Congress are going to believe this, does he? It will be interesting to see how many in the Congress back him up on this.

The race card is a pathetic excuse for failure to produce any argument in Holder’s feeble protestations….Holder, Obama and all the rest of those cowardly ‘tin men” are an just one more illustration of their weak policy of obfuscations to cover their inability to accomplish anything of substance – they are failures.

Those who make excuses for this adminstration’s failures are just as worthy of our contempt….WM

Well said William. They will say anything in order to get the focus off of their lack of accomplishments while at the same time portraying themselves as the victims. Pathetic is right!

Of course he is playing the race card, we expected him to do this as we would expect Obama to do it. You can also add alot of the CBC members to that expectation. It has always worked in the past and they are counting on it to work, again. The difference is that we are tired of it, it has been used too often and to alot of people, it has lost its’ threat. You can only have something done to you so many times, before it just doesn’t scare you anymore. I think we are at that point with this administration. AG Holder is showing his true “colors” and I do not mean black. I trust in the future that people will pay a bit more attention to who they elect into office. If truth be told, there are probably alot of Democrats that regret their votes this last time. We should also be holding the MSM responsible for not doing the “vetting” they should have done. To me, they have become totally useless for any credible information.

Holder will have people come to his defense in agreement with his statement–and the White House has refused to distance itself from the statement–but for the most part Americans are growing tired of people injecting race into an argument where is doesn’t belong and I think this will only serve to upset more people than anything else.

Harrison, I doubt he believes it, but the only thing that matters is if the American public believes it is because of race. This is the card pulled out when everything else is not working. “A stain” is such a mild discription of this AG, maybe we could come up with something a bit bolder?

I agree with Lou, I don’t think he believes it but I think he hopes the American people do.

Holder is wrong and he knows it, which is why he used the race card. May be thinks it sounds better than “the devil made me do it”.

Up to now, that “race card” has worked wonders, it has gotten people to back off, very quickly. This is, however, a new game. I think that card has been worn out. It does not incite the fear in people that it once did. We have been fed up with the antics of this Administration. If you add in people being killed, that is way over the top of what any American citizen will accept.

I agree, it is like the boy who called wolf at this point. It has been used so many times that people are no longer going to fall for it, especially when people have died because of his imcompetence.

Steve, do you believe this was incompetence? I have conflicting thoughts on it. If it was unintentional, then we need to replace a bunch of people for ones that know what they are doing. If it was cold and calculated, then we need to replace a bunch of people, as well. Just plain EVIL comes to mind if this was the case. Either way, it was wrong! I read an article about a family named “Reese” that is in jail having to do with F&F and no bail set for them. Mr Reese owns a gun shop. They have been in jail for 30 days and today is the first I have read of this. Is this the “out” that AG Holder was looking for to take the blame for what happened?

No I do not believe it was simply incompetence, I wrote that comment as I was headed out the door this morning and did not chose the right word. I believe he knew what was going on and in fact authorized it, in my opinion Holder acted criminally.
I haven’t heard about this Reese story and will be checking it out shortly, thanks for the link.

That is exactly what this comes down to; Holder and Obama think they are smarter than us and the do think that we are stupid enough to believe this. They are mistaken!
