Gunrunner: Congressman asks Eric Holder if Fast and Furious was racially motivated
Eric Holder once called America a nation of cowards when it comes to Americans having a conversation about race, but when push came to shove and Eric Holder started to feel the heat for Operation Fast and Furious he himself took the cowardly way out; instead of admitting his mistake (if you believe it was a mistake in the first place, with the exception of Brian Terry’s death I believe Operation Fast and Furious was proceeding exactly as Eric Holder had hoped it would) and taking responsibility for the deadly operation he decided to play the race card, blaming racism for the criticism he was facing.
Apparently he doesn’t feel as if the death of 300+ Mexicans and two Americans–and Eric Holder admitted these deaths would probably not be the last–was not noteworthy on its face and callously stated that it is only because he is black that he is being persecuted.
If Eric Holder really was interested in learning the truth about Operation Fast and Furious he would be cooperating with the investigation, but instead he is stonewalling, obstructing justice, and tampering with evidence and he is doing this because he already knows the truth and he wants to hide it. It is my belief that Eric Holder and probably Barack Obama not only knew about the operation during its planning stages, but also condoned and authorized the plan which led to Brian Terry’s death.
So in an attempt to ameliorate the crisis he has found himself entwined in he decided to do what many people do when they are justly accused of committing a crime–he threw out the race card in an attempt to portray himself as the victim because he felt it would intimidate people and cause them to stop questioning him, but this has only served to ratchet up the controversy and deepen his personal crisis.
Allen West (who happens to be black) spoke out in harsh terms when Eric Holder played the race card, stating “I’m disgusted. I find it absolutely reprehensible because this is not about skin color. This is about your character. This is about your competence. This is about your ability to lead. And this is about potentially you having misled the Congress and the American people on this operation Fast and Furious”
Those were harsh words indeed, but they were justified and they carry extra weight because Allen West is black, but the pressure continues to mount against Eric Holder for his decision to defect the blame by playing the race card.
Today a representative from Arizona weighed in on this issue. Paul Gosar had this to say:
He [Holder] brought up the race card, and while I think it’s absolutely horrendous that he would bring up the race card, in Fast and Furious, we were in fact impugning the Mexican people
He stated that Eric Holder has impugned the Mexican people, but he didn’t stop there:
About 300 people have lost their lives.”
“When the attorney general brings up the race card, he’d better be very, very careful — particularly for the Hispanics and what’s happened to them,” Gosar adds. “He’s been very insensitive, not only to the [U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian] Terry family in making an apology and making it very public, but where’s the apology to the Mexican government and the families of the victims in Mexico?”
What a great point; Eric Holder has decided that his personal protection is more important than the lives of the 300+ Mexicans who were killed at the hands of an operation which he most likely authorized. Where is his concern for the people of Mexico? Where is his sympathy for the families of those who lost their lives because of his criminality?
Apparently Eric Holder thinks that his political ideology is more important than the lives of a few hundred Mexicans. He evidently believes that imposing gun control on the American people is more important than these lives and he still hasn’t apologized to the Mexican government for the loss of these lives because he believes these deaths are merely collateral damage in his war on the second amendment. This shows us the contempt that Eric Holder has for the lives of a citizenry which does not share his ethnic background.
Eric Holder may be one of the most evil (yes, I said evil) people to ever hold such a high position in the United States government, and his willingness to throw so many Mexicans under the bus to protect himself and his anti-second amendment ideology could be construed as being racially motivated.
He had to know that possibility of hundreds of Mexican deaths was a reality if these weapons were not tracked–and they weren’t–and he decided to move forward anyway because the end justifies the means, and if Mexicans had to die to implement gun restrictions and the United Nations small arms treaty so be it.
I ask you who is the racist here; The people who are trying to get to the bottom of this disastrous and deadly operation, or the person who was apparently willing to let hundreds of Mexicans die in order to forward a political agenda?

Holder is the real coward, hiding behind race baiting because he has no argument against the truth. He proves himself a liar every time he opens his mouth. But then of course that would be an apt description of most in the current administration….WM

You’ve got that right, it seems that in order to be qualified to be in the Obama administration lying must come as second nature to you. Yes, Holder has shown us that he is the true coward; he knows that he can no longer defend himself so he is trying to portray himself as the victim.

Great post Steve. Glad to see the tables turned on him. Stay tuned for congressional crisis’s for all of 2012 and the lapdog media to continue to ignore this scandal.
This is why the republican house should seriously consider replacinh Boehner with someone like West.

Thanks, the media will ignore this but it is going to become a campaign issue if the Republicans have the guts to go after him on this. Boehner needs to go, he is a disappointment and a failure and as long as he continues to flounder the media will focus on that.

The 2010 Boehner needs to be traded in– faulty brakes.

Great post Steve, Eric Holder using the race card to save his own skin is reprehensible. The man has not shame and he’s too dumb to realize when it’s time to cut his losses and leave his post. The only way this guy is removed from power is if he’s indicted.

Thanks John, the man is desperate and he has doubled down but it looks like it has backfired on him.

I find it morally reprehensible that Eric Holder still holds his position at the Department of Justice. There is no way he should still be there and wouldn’t be, if he were not a liberal. The media would be all over this, were he not a liberal.

With over 90 Congressman calling for his resignation you would think that Obama would have something to say on this issue but he remains silent.
