Gunrunner: DOJ blames the Congress for the department’s reluctance to turn over Fast and Furious documents

March 25, 2012

We saw firsthand last week the depths that Barack Obama will sink to in order to spread the blame around when he actually had the gall to blame both China and the Congress for his failed green energy initiative which cost the taxpayers $500 million when Solyndra went bankrupt, and the Obama regime is at it once again in the Fast and Furious debacle.

The Department of Justice is actually blaming the Congress for not making it possible for the Department of Justice to release the subpoenaed documents the Congress has requested, and is also claiming that the Congress is to blame for the department’s failure to hold anyone within the department accountable for the deadly scandal.

The Department of Justice has accused the Congress of leaking previously released documents to the media therefore, the department claims, it can no longer hand over sensitive documents related to the scandal.

  Darrell Issa is not happy:

It is troubling that the attorney general continues to express the outlandish view that his compliance with lawful and binding subpoenas is merely optional.

Darrell Issa has previously threatened to hold Eric Holder in Contempt of Congress, but when Eric Holder missed the deadline for turning over the documents Darrell Issa backed down and gave him a second chance. The new deadline was never announced, and as far as we can tell there is none, leading many to speculate that John Boehner put the brakes on Darrell Issa’s investigation.

With the Department of Justice’s latest letter to Darrell Issa it is quite clear that the department has no intention of handing over any more documents related to the murderous scandal and it is time for Darrell Issa to either put up or shut up–it is time to hold Eric Holder in Contempt of Congress. If he does not we will be forced to conclude that John Boehner is indeed trying to slow down Darrell Issa’s investigation.

Double standards once again. The White House socialists and their brethren do not hesitate to leak information as long as it is to their benefit. Therefore it is safe to assume they are scared that should confidential docs be leaked by Congress it will not be to their benefit….WM

The arrogance of the Obama administration is beyond belief. The theory that no one is above the law has been proven wrong.

So far Eric Holder has remained above the law, hopefully it won’t be for too much longer.

When are Americans going to say ‘enough’. They (Obama and his cronies in DoD, DoJ and Wall street members in Congress) are tearing the USA apart.. making it bankrupt and no one… not one person is held accountable. What kind of Government have you got?

YOU the PEOPLE need to take control and now. Obama, who has impeachment requests on him since his first election is STILL making decisions that have been caused to force impeachments. Honestly.. this is disgusting yet hilarious… Take YOUR country back already.

I think many Americans are saying enough already, the problem is that the government isn’t listening and we can’t do anything about it until November. We just have to try to minimize the damage until we can get this man and his regime out of here.

Talk about twisting things around. The Obama administration is a master at this, better than anyone in modern history.

You’ve got that right Larry! Obama is a master at manipulation and deflection and his regime is following his lead to a tee.

It is far more serious a matter for the MSM to focus on the etch-a-sketch.

LD, the amazing part of it is that there are certain people that listen to him and believe him or it would not be allowed to continue. Then there are those of us that SEE what is happening and don’t have the ability to make a difference other than voting and Obama knows that. He is daring us and we have nothing other than voting to throw him out. He knows how much he can get away with and after the next election if he gets re-elected, there will be no stopping him and he will openly do what he wants. We are in serious trouble here.

It is frustrating Lou, isn’t it? We can see what he is up to yet we can’t do anything about it until November. Until that time he will continue to get away with almost whatever he wants to, and he knows it. I shudder to think what he will do if he wins reelection and doesn’t feel the need to hold back any longer.

The media sees it as it’s role to run a feigning operation designed to take our focus off of the real issues. This is why they focus on certain less important issues while ignoring the ones that reflect badly on the president.

Eric Holder feels as if he is above the law, and to this point he has been. I long for the day when Eric Holder is brought to justice.

This is so far beyond understanding that I have to reblog it for you to try to understand. This entire cabal needs some prison time, right before the wall and blindfold routine.

Well at least they’re not blaming the Chinese as they did with Solyndra. They blamed Congress, too, but I thought throwing in the Chinese was for good measure.

\Off point but relevant; my wife and I were watching a younger grandson this week and reading your comment I saw a parallel between my 3 year old grandson’s behavior and that of Obama. Both will “stretch” the truth in desperate avoidance to take blame for their transgressions.

With that in mind, according to “me,” I can safely assume that Obama may appear confident but underneath the smooth pimp talk is an insecure and frightened child who will do or say anything to take the heat off himself.

Sadly too many Americans are unable to see, let alone admit, that a child like response in deflection of responsibility is dangerous indeed…..WM

It is interesting that Obama and a 3 year old exhibit the same traits; it is understandable in a 3 year old, they don’t realize the person they are trying to fool is smarter than them. But Obama should know better by now, yet he still thinks he is the smartest person in the room.

If Darrel Issa does not do the job than why is he doing anything but pertending that he is? Our congress and senate are becoming socialist and communist to dictatorship government. Americans stand up and do the job right and that is be armed to defend the constition.

I think that Issa really is trying to do his job, but he has been met with fierce resistance from the DOJ and now from Boehner. It is Boehner who needs to be removed from the leadership role if Republicans hold onto the House.
