Leon Panetta claims climate change is a national security threat
Now that the Obama regime has declared the war on terror to be over Leon Panetta can focus his attention of the real threat endangering our country–global warming.
Leon Panetta spoke in front of an environmental group and said this:
The area of climate change has a dramatic impact on national security,” Panetta told the Environmental Defense Fund last night. “Rising sea levels, severe droughts, the melting of the polar caps, the more frequent and devastating natural disasters all raise demand for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief
There you have it, with al Qaeda and the Taliban out of the way and no longer a threat to the nation because Barack Obama said so the United States can now turn its attention away from those silly little terrorists and focus on an issue that really interests the president; restricting the liberties and freedoms of American citizens, and attacking the industries which keep America moving. And apparently the Department of Defense is on board.

Panetta has been drinking too much kool-aid. With all the very serious problems this country is facing, he decides to focus on a non-problem; climate change. You would think he might want to spend his time to figure out how we are gojing to contain China. Maybe he thinks if he can’t get money for national defense maybe he can get money to fight Mother Nature.

As a scientist, I am always amused at pronouncements made by non-scientists such as Al Gore–outlandish claims made without an understanding what constitutes sound science. GW/CC may indeed be real but to posit that man is causing it is nothing more than another post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy all gussied up as intelligent discourse. There is no direct evidence linking our activities with GW/CC. Al Gore is a moron.

Panetta is a national security threat – he has no business being head of the DOD – he’s a political hack who is undermining the military with his budget cuts – put the entitlement leeches to work and save the taxpayers money. I have never seen anyone with such a one-track mind as these liberals, when it comes to climate change, ie. global warming. Since when is climate change the purview of the Secretary of Defense?

Honestly I read an article today that suggested all these wild Democratic flights of fancy will simply wear Conservatives (and Mitt) down. I think we need to just hammer the crap out of the horrible job this president has been doing.

Yes I think it is. I will be writing about it on Monday. These are distractions. In trying to chase them down we exhaust ourselves. I am guilty of this as well. Al Gore got a “D” in Natural Sciences at Harvard.
