Elizabeth Warren uses a racial stereotype to “prove” she is part Native-American

May 4, 2012

The more that Elizabeth Warren tries to prove that she is in fact part Native-American the deeper she digs the hole, and to be honest it is getting to be quite entertaining. Her campaign has stated that her great-great-great-grandmother is part Native-American and this makes her 1/32 Native-American but genealogists at the New England Historic Genealogical Society have not been able to find any proof of this claim.

In light of this lack of proof Elizabeth Warren offered as evidence the fact that her family used to sit around the dinner table and discuss their Native-American roots, but not surprisingly this proof has not been taken seriously by too many people so today she offered as proof the fact that one of her relatives described her grandfather as having had “high cheekbones like all of the Indians do.”

She basically is using a racial stereotype as proof of her heritage by stating that all Indians have certain traits which distinguish them from other races. (All Indians with the apparent exception of Elizabeth Warren) Wouldn’t this be akin to a person stating as proof they were part black because they had a nappy headed relative? Or offering as proof that you are part Jewish because a relative had a hooked nose? These are also stereotypes and they are rightfully frowned upon in today’s civilized society and yet Elizabeth Warren has no qualms about using this type of epithet as proof of her heritage  and I find this to be quite telling indeed and it should be considered offensive. I guess the same rules do not apply to Elizabeth Warren.

Oh, and by the way, isn’t the term “Indian” not politically correct when speaking of someone with Native-American roots–just saying…..

Keep digging Lizzy, you will bury yourself in the hole you are digging.

Poor Liz, she stepped into a big pile of it years ago and just now smelling the stink. There is an old saying that fits, “oh what a tangled web we weave when first first we practice to deceive” or something to that effect. This could serious hurt her race for the senate against Scott Brown, but she will now toss out the old images of him bareing himself. But then that’s old news. I still, however, worry about Brown holding that senate set as many will vote a straight ticket in the general and you know Obama will carry the state without breaking a sweat.

Obama will win Mass, that much is a given and it doesn’t bode well for Brown. I think he still remains fairly popular, but you are right about many people casting straight ticket ballots. Although during Fenway Park’s 100 year anniversary celebration Obama appears on the big screen and was booed in Boston so perhaps there is some hope yet.

There seems to be a trend among liberals to fabricate a past that fits their agenda. Apparently Obama was not the first.

This does seem to be a bit of an epidemic doesn’t it? These people just honestly don’t think they should be questioned so they say whatever the hell they want to.

Looks like she has revealed herself. It was reported that she went to Rutgers law school, not an ivy, thus never would have gotten to where she did without this claim.

She might claim she didn’t use it to advance her career but it certainly did help her career and I find it hard to believe a liberal wouldn’t have known this, after all it is a liberal policy.

And the MSM will give her a pass on it.

Yeah the will, although the Boston Herald is going after her pretty hard. Needless to say, the GLobe is ignoring it.

Before anyone questions MY heritage, I am a red headed, blue eyes, fair-skinned, freckled, Irish-English-Scottish female that can trace my “roots” back for many, many generations. Not that anyone wants to know, but I just wanted to weigh in, in the event that my background comes up. Now, I imagine that is about as interesting as wanting to know about Elizabeth Warren. Sounds like she was just wanting something for nothing and came up with the G-ma back there. Don’t we have other more important issues going on right now that the media needs to focus on that? Oh, I guess that is WHY they are focusing on that, my bad.

Sorry Lou, but it doesn’t sound like you are a member of a preferred class. You will have to make it on your own. 🙂 There are more important issues to focus on, but Scott Brown’s seat is going to be critical in November so I think it is important we highlight Warren’s fraudulent claim.

I guess you are right, Steve. I only wish it was someone other than Scott Brown running for the seat. I have not been overly impressed with him, I had high hopes going in, but he has been somewhat of a let down. As for me making it on my own, yep and I did.

Scott Brown was the Tea Party’s pick because he was running against a moonbat, but he isn’t a conservative’s conservative and he never claimed to be. I think many people who aren’t close to Massachusetts probably thought he was more conservative than he was and many are upset at him now but he still beats the alternative. He called himself a Massachusetts Republican when he was running and what that meant was that he was a more moderate than Republicans you may find in other states. Scott Brown is the best we can hope for considering the state he is running in.
