Why did Democrats remove all references to God from the party platform?
Last week MSNBC host Touré stated that he was deeply offended when Paul Ryan stated that our rights come from God during his speech at the RNC convention and not from the government.
Apparently taking its cue from Touré the Democrats have removed all references to God from their official party platform.
I immediately thought of that scene from the movie ‘Airheads’ (okay, you probably didn’t see it, but I liked the movie) where Steve Buscemi’s character is quizzing another character and he asks him who would win in a wrestling match between Lemmy and God. The person gives the answer he thought Steve Buscemi wanted to hear and said Lemmy would win. Steve Buscemi then informed him that he was wrong because it was a trick question–Lemmy is God.
Why do I bring this up? Because it appears to me as if the Democrats only have room for one god and that isn’t the God, it is Barack Obama. Liberals still see Barack Obama as the messiah who will slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet all by himself and so they had to eliminate the competition.

It seems there is a “Double Standard” when it comes to GOD, when it pertains to the DNC. At this point I am getting damn tired of people being “offended” on the left. They should develope a stiffer backbone and upper lip and grow up.

Amen Lou! It is about time for them to stop hiding behind being offended and start debating the issues. By claiming an opposing view is offensive they are trying to intimidate the opponent into politically correct silence.

The far left has taken complete control of the modern Democratic Party and they have no use for God, but as you say “a god” and a little one at that. They also failed to include any mention of Jerusalem in the party platform—choosing to avoid the issue completely. Seems that God and Jerusalem are forbidden in the “Garden of Obama”!

This is confusing!! They give out a calendar- month of August- implying that Obama and Jesus are equal.. overlaid on a copy of his birth certificate… 🙂

The sad fact is that the Democrats seem to get away with these lies. They have rewritten their entire history and I would bet that if you asked young people most of them would not be able to tell you that Lincoln was actually a Republican. Nor MLK for that matter.

This is the main problem with the left Steve. They look for a savior or the government to solve our problems instead of looking to God for strength and ourselves for the answer. They need God to be replaced by government, because without God or a higher power in our lives, we will settled for anything and that anything is government.

Well said John, government is the highest power in their mind and so they have no use for God. And if the people understand that there is a higher power than government it will be harder to control them so the left must do all it can to ensure God is removed wherever possible.

Au contraire mon frere, not all references to their god have been removed. After all we continue to see and hear many references to Barack Hussein Obama at their liars convention.
