Open thread for Thursday September 27: Electioneering edition

September 27, 2012

Here is the open thread for Thursday, September 27th; feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss the issues of the day as they arise.

With the election season now in full gear I thought I would give you Radiohead with their song ‘Electioneering’ from one of the greatest rock albums of all times (OK Computer) for the musical selection of the day. Enjoy and have a great day.

    “I will stop
    I will stop at nothing
    Say the right things
    When electioneering
I trust I can rely on your vote”

“When I go forwards you go backwards and somewhere we will meet”

Sounds about right!…and freaky…Maobama’s ‘FORWARD’…and he calls Romney, ‘Backward’…the “somewhere we will meet” would be A Socialist State…or sooner…The Economic cliff…

But they are! That makes it more important than ever to make sure we get out the vote on the Republican side. Entitlements and freebies are strong draws for those that don’t want to make an effort to support themselves. I know there are those that can’t, but I see more and more that are just laying around with their fake nails, gov. supplied cell phones, bills being paid and money for steak that need to have their butts kicked off of the dole. Tough love, if it is good enough for the kids it is good enough for the lay arounds.

After reading that the FBI has still not been allowed into the “crime scene”, my bad, I meant to say “beautiful downtown Benghazi” this was one of the comments about this:

“What should have happened is that an hour or two after the attack a whole hell of a lot of American firepower should have landed in front of our diplomatic compound, commandos should have secured the area, picked up anyone still in the area for very rough questioning, and military investigators should have started to investigate this terror attack, and the officials in Benghazi and Libya should have been told that they were responsible for security and failed—likely deliberately in cooperation with the attacker’s plan, and that unless they wanted their city and a good portion of the country leveled and a lot more people shot they should be very, very anxious to cooperate”

I totally agree. Isn’t that ground supposed to be US controlled? What will be left after 2 weeks of ransacking by the locals? We are thought that little of anymore and not feared as a nation that they can do this??? We need a change of plans here, this is unacceptable. Obama has done more damage to this nation with stalling and not calling it for what it was from the get-go. How much more are we going to put up with?

Unbelievable and we are supposed to believe Obama is going to hold people responsible for this attack? But then again he will; he will hold the film maker responsible.

A bit lengthy, but well worth watching Pat Caddell:
