The Obama regime denied three requests for military backup while the terrorist attack in Benghazi was ongoing
One of the questions that has bothered the hell out of me in regards to the terrorist attack on the United States consulate in Libya on the anniversary of September 11th is this: If the attack lasted for six to seven hours why was the airforce not sent in to relieve the situation on the ground when by all accounts they were only one to two hours from the action?
We still don’t know the answer to that question but according to this article we now know that it wasn’t because the people on the ground didn’t need or ask for the help. We now know from sources on the ground that the CIA requested backup three times while the attack was ongoing and were denied all three times.
Not only that but twice–once when the fighting started and once when the safe house Chris Stevens was rushed to was attacked–people who were close to the scene were ordered to ‘stand down’ instead of going to the aid of Chris Stevens. Eventually the call of duty and honor drove three former Navy SEALs to break orders and rush to the aid of Chris Stevens, all three died while doing what was right in the face of failed leadership.
Despite the fact that there were drones flying overhead and the action was being watched in real time, Leon Panetta stated that there wasn’t enough information on the attack at the time to rush in reinforcements and save our diplomat and the heroes who rushed in to save him.
So who denied the three requests for military intervention? CIA director David Petraeus claims the order did not come from the CIA, which means it must have come from higher up in the chain.
This leads us to the conclusion that the order must have come from Barack Obama himself sometime in between his attendance at a campaign fundraiser in Las Vegas and when he went to bed while the attack was ongoing. You have to have priories I guess and Barack Obama’s number one priority wasn’t leading while this attack was ongoing but rather scheming to get reelected. We have to believe somewhere around this time the idea to blame a You Tube video was hatched.
And then when you couple all this news with the other big news of the day; Hillary Clinton’s lawyer is claiming the Secretary of State did in fact order more security for Chris Stevens before the September 11th attack but this request was denied by Barack Obama himself and we now have a full blown conspiracy and cover up on our hands.
Why did Barack Obama deny a request for more security before an attack which he had actionable intelligence was coming, and why did he decide not to send reinforcements in once the attack started?
There is much more to this story than we know of at this point and now it appears as if Barack Obama is hiding more than just his failed leadership, inaction, and utter incompetence and it makes a person wonder of the rumors of a much larger Fast and Furious operation is in fact what he is hiding. Was the United States trafficking weapons to the rebels in Syria, and was Chris Stevens expendable because he was getting to close to the truth?
Even if this is just wild speculation and Barack Obama was merely incompetent he has been lying to the American people for weeks while trying to preserve his reputation and his failed foreign policy by covering up the events of that fateful day and one has to wonder how anyone can vote for a man that put his personal goals ahead of saving the lives of four Americans who are now dead because of his failed policies and unwillingness to do anything to save them.

Yeah, I don’t give a damn what Obama or Panetta’s excuses were. They let this attack happen. They let our people die. Steve, when you read my post today, keep in mind I wrote it before this news broke. Fox is the only media covering this. It will be up to the bloggers to keep story going until someone is held accountable. I can’t tell you how angry I am and how ashamed I am of my government.

I read your post and it was great as usual. You asked what Obama was hiding before this news broke and this must have just added fuel to the fire. There is no doubt that Obama is hiding more than his incompetence and his lack of leadership and we deserve to know the truth.

Great post. Slowly the truth is being revealed as the various government agencies are scrambling to cover their butts. Something this big cannot be controlled, even by the boys from Chicago—just too many people who know the truth. Should Obama win re-election this will haunt him and could lead to impeachment at some point down the road. Like in Watergate, it’s about the coverup and this is far more serious in that people died. I understand some reporter asked Obama about this today and his reply was something to the effect that Benghazi has nothing to do with the election—-I’m sure he hopes that is the case. Seems to me the leaks are increasing and hopefully the full extent of this coverup will soon be exposed so that everyone even the most stanch Obama supporter can see the truth about this sorry excuse of a man.

Obama is in it deep this time, there are too many people involved in this who are not going to take the fall for him like they did with Fast and Furious. THe truth about this will come out eventually and I think we are going to learn Barack Obama made the decisions not to provide security before the attack or backup once the attack started. This is the kind of tragedy that happens when you have a “leader” who is in over his head.

I despise Hitlary, but there is no doubt she has fallen on the sword for the sake of Dear Leader. As this story unfolds, it is clear that Obama bears responsiblity. The events occured roughly 4 pm in Washington, they were watching this via a live drone – armed not with weaponry, but a live video camera that recorded the attack. The other day, a live drone was able to take out terrorist commanders in a car in Yemen. The point being, the drone could have dealt with this. The other point is that we had jet fighters 500 miles away. They could have been there within a half an hour. Obama is soley responsible for this. Only he knows why he utterly failed to defend our Ambassador and our Consulate. But reality speaks to very ominous possibilities. Fox is broadcasting another in depth report tomorrow, no doubt we will find more evidence that points directly to the deliberate failure of the current administration to defend our National Security.

Hillary did fall on the sword but it was against Bill’s wishes and now her lawyer is beginning to position Hillary for her defence, and I think that defence will be at the expense of the president. It is hard to believe we had two drones on the scene and neither could take out the attackers when one of our guys had a laser pointed right at them.

I believe obama is ultimately responsible as well & it’s VERY disturbing to see my local news cover up what’s really happening. If I make a comment re: benghazi(which means city of martyrs)the article or my comment is dropped nothing is being reported at all. I have also found in http://blogs.cbn.com/StakelbeckonTerror/DianaWest. Where Diana West,Author reports that a group called “feb. 17 martyr brigade was stationed within the compound because of obama’s new policy of transitioning over responsibilities to local militia. This feb. 17 martyr brigade was apparently getting even for the loss of their militia in a 2-17-2006 attack on the Italian embassy over the danish cartoons. also another militia called “the libya shield” greeted the few responders. the libya shield is apparently known for flying the black flag of al quaeda and fighting for them. Our people never had a chance but obama’s policies have got to be stopped since Romney will be blamed for the hell that’s about to take place.

That is a great point, Obama is responsible for much of what is happening over there and if Romney win the election and these plans which were hatched while Obama was president are carried out Romney will be blamed. The MSM will suddenly find an interest in what is happening over there.

If they can only hold this off until after the election, we may never be rid or this man (term used lightly). Is he guilty of having knowledge and making the decision, in my opinion YES! What the media is doing with this might well take them down in covering. I read that troops were waiting to be sent and told to stand down, they had to follow orders, BUT, I doubt it will be the end of what they are thinking and feeling. To have the ability that we have and to not use it, was deceitful and done with knowing the outcome. If he is allowed to get put back into our White House, I will have NO respect for anyone voting for him….they are plain STUPID and you know what I think of stupid people. I think there are probably alot coming out with trying to cover their own butts so they are not blamed, is the ship sinking? Ulsterman is an incredible site. When I first started reading the post by The White House Insider I wasn’t sure if they were real, but so much of what he said has come true that I believe the guy is legit.
Obama is trying to hold off until after the election and if he wins reelection it will probably come with a Democrat majority in the Senate and possibly the House as well, if that happens this whole thing will be swept under the rug and we will never learn the truth. If that does happen we deserve everything we get.

I was listening to the John Batchelor show thursday night/friday morning and the theory was this: the consulate in bengazi had no consulate officers. yet within miles of the place there were several groups of ex-navy SEALs under various employment.
when the attack began, the Ambassador was meeting with a representative of the turkish government.
within a month or so before the attack, there were several reports of well-trained and equipped libyans infiltrating into syria from turkey.
connect those dots, and you get a CIA training operation, with the turkish government coming to inspect the progress and the recruits.
on the show it was also proposed that the attack was not entirely local in nature, and it was orchestrated and led by the iranians and the russians, using local muscle to bulk up their small revolutionary guards/spetsnaz team. remember, both the russians and the iranians are backing the government in syria.
the reason why no help was sent, the various “security” teams were told 3 times to “stand down”, and the “spontaneous attack” meme was,and in some cases still is, being used, is that they didn’t want to draw attention to the training operation or cause the death of any foreign nationals (iran/russia) to widen the conflict.
of course, if help HAD been sent a short story in the newspapers about an assault on a consulate, beat back by combined security forces, local US-friendly militias and air force AC-130 assistance, would have been in the paper for a few days and forgotten about. our ties to the government and the local militias in libya would have been strengthened, the training op would have continued, and all would be well.
this is what happens when you have a chain of command that is top-heavy with no military experience. to them, sending help when asked by people under fire is the LAST resort, not the first. their minds are always on negotiation, appeasement, and apology. since none of those 3 would have worked…they didn’t know what to do. so they did nothing.
this will hang around obama’s neck like an albatross. if he says nothing, he will be looked at as a coward and indifferent to the deaths of those americans. if he speaks the truth, he will be leaking information on a classified operation to help overthrow another government. either way, he loses.

The more we learn about this story, the clearer it becomes that a massive coverup is in progress. The Obama administration is intent on shifting the blame and the focus to someone and something else. The media, for the most part, has been complicit in that attempt and far too many Americans seem like they couldn’t care less that Obama is up to his eyeballs in this coverup. That’s the most shameful part, that after all of the details that we do know, Obama could still win a second term..

It could happen, Larry! It is hard to believe that with these facts coming out that one could still vote for him, but you have “die hards” that will stick to their party line, no matter what. If he wins, we can say “I told you so” about what he will pull, but at that point it really won’t matter. The damage will be done and they will suffer the consequences as well as us. To think that it is “ok” to some Americans that this happened, is what amazes me, still.

If Benghazi doesn’t cost Obama reelection than it is pretty clear there is nothing he could do that would keep him from winning. As for the MSM, they now have a convenient diversion with the hurricane. This will be the big story for the entire week heading into the election and Benghazi will take a back seat.

I’m afraid so. Let us hope it fizzles out and is not as bad as they say it will get, not only for the sake of the people, but to give him one less thing to hide behind….and that is what he is doing. I despise this administration and all that it implies.
