Open thread for Sunday, November 4th: Invinsible edition
Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 4th; please feel free to leave links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the day. With only a couple of days until the election I would love to hear your predictions.
As for me I have flip-flopped over and over again in my mind about how this election was going to turn out and as of right now I think that it will either be a close election won by Barack Obama or a blow out by Mitt Romney. I think if the election results are tight we can expect Barack Obama to hang on, but if the early results are favorable to Mitt Romney it could be an early night. If Pennsylvania goes early for Romney it could be a very long night for Barack Obama. I can’t decide which way it will go however.
For today’s musical selection I have settled on what I think is an uplifting song which tells us “together we’re invincible.” I can’t think of a better selection as we head into the election to remind us that if we pull together we can win this thing. The song is by the band which has been dubbed the best live act in the world, Muse, and the song is entitled ‘Invincible.’ (Check out the guitar solo which starts around 4:39.)
You should make a stand
Stand up for what you believe
And tonight we can truly say
Together we’re invincible
And during the struggle
They will pull us down
But please, please let’s use this chance to
Turn things around
And tonight we can truly say
Together we’re invincible

285-253 Romney

I’d like to see 538-0, but there are those maggots that would still vote for this MMMPOS.

So would I but as ROmney said there are 47% of Americans who are not going to vote for him no matter what. We just have to hope that those in the middle decide they can no longer support Obama.

Agreed. But I think he was a touch off on interpretation. 47% may not pay taxes, but how many want to remain in the too-poorly-paid-to-pay?

True and I think Romney was slightly off in this as well because I think there are Americans who are dependent on the government because of the poor economy who blame Obama for their situation and will vote against him hoping to improve their lives.

Precisely so.

Great point! They do owe you something for your suffering and I hope they at least grant you this one reward.

Alfie, I know Brown is not the republican you would like to have, but given where you live, it might be the best you can get….don’t sell him short just yet…he may be able to pull this one out over Warren. Those pesky Kennedy’s just won’t go away, will they?

I hope Brown can pull this out, he is the best we can hope for out of Massachusetts. Romney is beginning to close in on Obama in Massachusetts and while he will never win the state if he closes the gap enough these very same voters will likely boost Brown’s chances.

In the America I remember it would be a landslide for Romney. As things stand I don’t know.

Neither do I, if Obama wins than I can safely say this is no longer the America that I remember growing up.

Good stuff Lou, I Tweeted it out to my millions (okay, few hundred) followers. The more that see this before the election the better.

More evidence is emerging in the Benghazi cover up. As for the election, it is a marvel to me that anyone would vote for this man. It is frightening to consider that so many Americans would do so and they breed and vote. Crude? Yes. No apologies. Too much is on the line here.

I agree, I don’t understand how anyone who follows politics closely can still vote for this man. I think most of his supporters are people who do not pay close attention to politics and those who are on the government dole.
