John Boehner says Obamacare will be on the table during the fiscal cliff talks

November 22, 2012

John Boehner is claiming that Obamacare will be on the table during the upcoming fiscal cliff negotiations, to which I say; yeah right!

John Boehner is now taking a stand which he knows will be popular with the base, but it is a position he knows will never amount to anything even as he spouts this nonsense.

Immediately after the election John Boehner admitted that Obamacare was the law of the land–and he was right–there is no backing away from this now. The American people have voted and they have declared–whether they know it or not–that they support Barack Obama’s signature tax increase legislation and there is nothing that John Boehner can do about it despite his posturing.

Sure the House could defund it, but if that were a real option it would have happened already and it didn’t. We will all now live with the ramifications of our vote on November 6th for better or for worse, Obamacare will remain intact, and the tax increases associated with the legislation will be implemented.

I have one thing to say to John Boehner; please do not insult our intelligence by stating you are going to fight against Obamacare during the fiscal cliff negotiations because we know better. You may talk a good game now, but talk is cheap and when push comes to shove Barack Obama will out maneuver you and you will blink just as you always do.

This is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Not very believable at all. I believe Boehner is going to raise taxes on the upper brackets and he’s using this Obamacare talk to show how he means business with the strong conservatives in his ranks. It’s a show.

      I concur 100%!

A Boner is a boner is a boner, Once again he will play Wiley Coyote to Obama’s Road Runner.

A great analogy, he will always be one step behind Obama.

Mr. Boner should resign in shame!

And yet the republicans elected him to be the Speaker once again…..

I don’t see anything coming from Boehner’s blustering bravado. The key to defeating Obamacare, if it can be done at all, is with the states. They need to exert the power that is rightfully theirs, granted by the Constitution.

This is just Boehner’s attempt at positioning himself for the defeat he knows is coming. I don’t think the states will be able to get anything done because if they refuse to set up the exchanges the feds are going to step in and run it for them. They are basically being allowed to keep up the appearance the exchanges are state run but in reality the feds are still running the show.

And then it will be a clusterf__k once the mandates start pouring in.

Yep, as sad as it is this is as good as it gets. It is all downhill from here.

December 20th, the day Boner showed us all he is no Nancy Pelosi. It was refreshing to hear that those he threatened and removed from committees and chairmanships led the way in telling him to shove his Pelosi tax on the rich bill. It’s time for this Buckeye-feel free to change the spelling- to crawl back to Ohio and take his puff girl Eric Cantor with him. This jerk along with Boner had us fooled for the longest time but as sometimes happens, time wounds all heels.

Yep, it looks like those whom he removed had the last laugh and I an glad to see it. Hopefully Boehner just lost his speaker ship, he has been outmaneuvered Obama at every turn every time they have gone head to head.
