Benghazi: The State Department is hiding terrorist attack survivors from the Congress

December 13, 2012

Much of the coverage of the Benghazi terrorist attack throughout the blogosphere has been centered around the four Americans–Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods–who were killed in the in the deadly attack on the anniversary of September 11th and the cover up which insued, and rightfully so, but not much attention has been paid to those Americans who were injured but survived the attack.

The fact is that it would be hard to write about the injured people because we don’t know anything about them and that is exactly how the Obama regime wants it.

According to this story, Republican Representative Jason Chaffetz has been trying to get information about the people injured in the Benghazi terrorist attack but the State Department has been unwilling to provide any details whatsoever about the injured people and won’t even disclose how many there are.

My understanding is that we still have some people in the hospital. I’d like to visit with them and wish them nothing but the best but the State Department has seen it unfit for me to know who those people are—or even how many there are,” Rep. Chaffetz said. I don’t know who they are. I don’t know where they live. I don’t know what state they’re from. I don’t even know how many there are. It doesn’t seem right to me.

“This is so patently different than any other experience I’ve had. Unfortunately, people have been killed and maimed and in harm’s way in Afghanistan and Iraq and in points beyond. It’s typically been the case that they would release those names but in this case, they won’t. My challenge is to the media. You try and figure it out. They won’t let Congress know. They won’t seem to let the media know either.”

I find it very interesting that these eye witnesses to the attack are being hidden from the Congress and it makes you wonder what these people know happened that day that the Obama regime would rather the rest of the country–and the Congress–doesn’t learn about.

  The cover up continues…..

The saddest thing is all of these “secret” moves are widely know and yet… who is writing about it except for some bloggers?

The press knows what’s going on but they don’t want to tar Obama the way they would if a Republican were in office.

If it weren’t for the bloggers this wouldn’t be reported at all and that is sad to say the least.

We don’t even know the nationality of the injured and that may be what they don’t want us to know. The MSM is complicit in this cover up and that makes me sick.

Yes, we have been asking about them, yet no one asked about them at the last hearing. Now Hillary is going to get a pass. She was suppose to testify, but the report will never be see the light of day. Executive privilege will be claimed.

Please show me where before the attacks Republicans were demanding greater security for our diplomats, and said they would provide the funding to pay for it.

    (crickets chirping)

Yes, Republicans actually voted to cut embassy security funding 300 million.

    http://thinkprogress.org/security/2012/10/10/985191/chaffetz-absolutely-funding-embassy-security/?mobile=nc

Welcome to Republican upside down world….. Listen to what I say, and ignore what I do…..

Republicans only worry about one thing. Attacking our president. They don’t give a damn about our security. Period.

Dear president Obama. Do not let one single rat brain Republican near any of the folks injured in the attack. They will only try to embarass them, and lie and scream fake outrage about nothing. Just like always.

Anonymous, when deputy assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security Charlene Lamb testified before the House Committee in Oversight and Government Reform in Oct, she was asked if there was any budget consideration and lack of budget which led her not to increase the number of people in the security force in Benghazi and she replied “No sir.”

      http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/10/12/are-budget-cuts-to-blame-for-benghazi-attack-as-biden-suggested.html

Additionally 2012 funding levels for embassy security were still higher than 2008 levels, when we were still engaged in 2 wars. In fact overall funding for those programs has increased sharply over the past decade. And Worldwide Security Protection has more than doubled from what it was 10 years ago.

      http://blog.heritage.org/2012/10/11/libya-security-lapse-the-budget-for-embassy-security-is-not-responsible/

So I’m not understanding why you’re blaming Republicans for a lack of security. They may have voted for decreased funding but it had nothing to do with the security lapses in regards to Benghazi. I would think we would all want to find out the facts so we can correct the wrongs and reduce the chances of this happening again in the future. For me it’s not about Republican or Democrats, it’s about four Americans who died three months ago. We need answers…it’s that simple. It’s time to stop playing partisan politics and do what right for America. It’s time to stop the bickering and do what’s right for these four Americans.

This is NOT a Republican or Democrat issue. We should know where these people are, who they are and what their side of the story is. That they are being hidden should send up a red flag to people, no matter what their party affiliation is.This administration has been so secretive on EVERY issue that has come up, be it F&F, Benghazi, you insert an issue, it will be covered up. We are entitled to know what happened, we are the ones that should be in control of what our government does. As a side note, one can always find an article to prove one side of a story or the other, articles are written as opinions by the writer. They can find “facts” to back up whatever they want to write. It doesn’t make it true, never has never will. I can attach articles from the Democrat viewpoint as well as a Republican viewpoint, depends on what I would want to get across to who I am talking to. It is the same as writing a paper for college supporting something and then turning around and writing another article with the opposite stance, has no one else had to do this? The information is out there to do this. Back to what the subject was, now I see that Hillary Clinton has decided she might not testify….what???? Have the people in this administration been given a different set of rules when it comes to our court system? What would happen to US if we just decided not to abide by the law? And you think they are not bending the rules of the game? However, we are letting them get by with it, so we are guilty of being complacent. I am not sure our country will stand another 4 years of lies and coverups, be it Republican or Democratic control…the parties are melding together and WE will be the ones that will suffer.

Exactly Lou, I want everybody held accountable who played a role in this and I couldn’t care less what party they belong to. It is obvious Hillary isn’t going to testify willingly, it looks like she will have to be subpoenaed.

moshe, did you listen the the tape Johnson had recorded of Nixon’s people scrapping the peace deal. Johnson had an end of the war negotiated, and Nixon’s people convinced the North Vietnamese they would get a better deal if they waited till after the election. Then Nixon bombed the crap out of them. On the tape the dude even said “this was treason”.

Yes, treason is par for the course when it comes to “elections” and stuff.

I heard the tape recording. It is chilling. Especially if you lost someone in “nam and the wouldn’t have died if it wasn’t for Nixon.

Contras. I have a friend that was passing guns out to one side during the day, and to the other side at night. He was handing out guns to barefoot folks, and thought it was kinda crazy.

“Johnson then renewed his thinly veiled threat to go public. “I don’t want to get this in the campaign,” Johnson said, adding: “They oughtn’t be doing this. This is treason.””

Yeah Steve. Maybe Hillary could go testify like Gonzo and just say “I don’t recall” 74 times…..

        http://voices.yahoo.com/alberto-gonzales-testifies-congress-cant-remember-310446.html

Steve, people hate us and want to kill us and attack us all the time. It is not Hillary’s fault. Let her do her job. When it comes to Benghazi there is no there there. If Republicans want better security they would have to pay for it, and that ain’t gonna happen. They have tax cuts for the wealthy to hand out.

You know, Anonymous, you have “issues”. Apologizes or explanations do NOT need to be made to you. Start your own blog if you think a posting should be made in a timely manner. Maybe Steve was busy or getting his thoughts together before he posted on such a horrible story, but to have to answer to you, well how stupid is that to think that YOU are that important? As for your comment about Wayne La Pierre, he is making sure we have the “right to keep and bear arms”, to say that about him was just plain wrong. He did not put the guns in the hands of that person any more than you did. Yes, this was tragtic, but once again, we are going to blame the guns? Enforce the gun laws already on the books, not make MORE laws. I can not imagine what it feels like to lose a young child, or any child for that matter, but to make this about the guns and not the deranged person that did the deed is wrong. I am getting the feeling after reading your posts that you are just wanting to stir the pot on a daily basis. Now is the time to grieve with the families, not to point the blame finger for political purposes. This is what is being done by the media and they are WRONG for doing this, it helps no one……

What is really sad is how gleeful people are when they feel they can exploit a tragedy they are apparently hoping for. Anonymous just couldn’t wait–as can be seen by the 4 AM posting time–to turn a horrible tragedy into a political issue.

No glee here my friend. I am interested in solutions. Selling 10 million more guns a year to people that can resell them to nutcases without background checks doesn’t make any sense to me. Having gun manufacturers make profits selling guns that cause billions of dollars worth of damages a year, and not making them pay for the damage their “products” produce doesn’t seem right either. 100,000 shot every year, and of course it isn’t the fault of the people that sell the guns. They are “supposed” to be used responsibly. While they are at it, why don’t they sell nukes?
        Arms are arms right?

As the gap between rich and poor keeps growing, and mental institutions are closed to save money for tax cuts, and handouts for the wealthy, just expect more and more and more children (and adults) to die. They will die by the hands of angry frustrated mental cases who have nowhere to go, and to whom there is no help unless they are rich enough to afford a psychiatrist.

Maybe the NRA (I used to be a member by the way) should go in the coffin building business!
