Over the fiscal cliff we go

January 1, 2013

fiscal-cliff630Things could change later on tonight or at some point tomorrow–I highly doubt it–but as of right now America has plunged head first off the fiscal cliff. Now that we have fallen off the fiscal cliff it is time to briefly write about the issue I have been avoiding here for as long as possible. I haven’t written any posts on the fiscal cliff negotiations until now for one main reason; I expected our leaders in Washington would take us over this fiscal cliff, and in fact this fate was sealed on November 6th.

In November we had a choice. One candidate ran on the promise of raising taxes and one candidate ran on the promise of not raising taxes, and Americans chose the candidate who promised to raise taxes with the hope that those taxes wouldn’t extend on down to themselves. When Barack Obama won reelection the deal was sealed and a tax increase was guaranteed;  the only questions left were how high would taxes go up, and on whom would they go up? And did anyone really think that these same politicians who got us into this mess would all of a sudden find common ground where there is none? If you did you were fooling yourself.

The ruling class elite are now pointing fingers at each other and blaming the other guys, but it must not be forgotten that the fiscal cliff deal which now is in effect was a deal struck by politicians on both sides of the aisle in Washington when they created the unconstitutional “super committee” because they couldn’t agree on a plan in the first place. We must now all live with the tax increases because in all our infinite wisdom we are the ones who decided to reelect the same politicians which got us into this mess in the first place.

The only way there was a even a chance–however slim–we could have avoided this fiasco would have been to elect the other guy (and most of you know I am not a Mitt Romney fan) but we chose not to and now we have gotten what we deserve, and what many of us have been predicting for months. And this doesn’t even include the new taxes which will now go into effect under Obamacare this year.

Happy New Year fellow cliff divers.

Love the pic! Politicians sure have screwed the American people. Actually, the people voted for these politicians so in effect the citizens screwed themselves.

    Happy New Year!

Did you notice the way Obama is smiling in that picture as if he is happy and Boehner is just following him down the slope? I think that picture sums it all up. And yes, we did screw ourselves!

Steve, I still stand by my belief they had this deal hammered out long ago. Both sides wanted to score points and use this drama to get there. Both parties are phony and they have been playing us from the get go. I agree we made this choice and now is the time to reap it. Well for the next four years we’re going to reap it. I just hope we can survive as a nation.

I agree John, I think that both sides realized they would be better served if we went over the cliff before announcing the deal. That way both sides could say they signed a bill they didn’t really like, but were forced to sign it to protect most Americans after the tax increases were implemented, and they feel this was the way they would feel the least among of blow back for not sticking to their promises. They put their own futures ahead of the future of the country. I am with you, I hope we can survive the next four years.

Dumb bastards (sorry for the language) passed it….with a House Republican majority, they passed it…what do we learn from this?

No need to apologize for the language. I am reading this morning that the Republicans have enough voted to unseat Boehner. As Speaker, Boehner let the minority party raise taxes, I think that might be his last act as Speaker.

Can one hope? I thought that the vote for passing the bill would not go thru, too….seems they can always “buy” votes, doesn’t it? I will be cautiously optimistic about him being replaced.

Vote TEA Party in all future elections at every level of government, and we can begin the Do-Construction of this Worthless USA Bureaucracy which is the cause of every single problem we have in this country. With the current makeup of career politicians of both of the so-called political parties in charge of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of this government, our problems, spending, debts, deficits and the loss of our personal freedoms and the sovereignty of this once great, prosperous and powerful nation will only worsen until we totally collapse. The current batch of politicians, bureaucrats and the associated Lobby Groups that buy and sell these politicians, the presidency and judicial branches is the problem in this country. It is time to Create a Legitimate Political Party to Challenge the Current Big Government Party which is made up of Democrats and Republicans who Put On Dog and Pony Shows that are scripted and written for Political Theater that is totally bogus and is intended to target an ignorant populace so as to make us debate one party or the other as to who is doing their jobs in representing Us Citizens, when in fact, neither of these Mock Parties represent our interests. They represent their own personal interests and do the bidding of the International Banking and Other Large International Business and Political Interests who send their Hired Prostitutes and Bag Men to buy and sell our politicians in order to get the Lucrative Benefits of The Tax Payers VIA Government Favors. These Hired Prostitutes and Bag Men/Women call themselves LOBBYISTS.

So, we read today, “Tax Deal Made at the Eleventh Hour!!” Bogus–Whatever they finally agreed to was decided on long before the most Recent Dog and Pony Show started in order to make us all worry about Fiscal Cliff, which was totally a made up scenario by Politicians and The Media.

Beep! Beep! That’s all folks!! That is, until the Dog and Pony Show starts all over again. Nothing in Washington is going to change except to worsen. Out of control spending, out of control bureaucratic expansions (Over 300,000 New Non-Needed Federal Jobs and the creation of even more government agencies just since Obama was elected the first time.) If we do not force a Downsizing of the Government which will Downsize the Amount of Spending and Debt. That is why the TEA Party was born. Have we all forgotten that TEA Party stands for “Taxed Enough Already” Party, and that is what we need to do–Elect TEA Party Folks and get the majorities in both houses of congress and the presidency, and then we can take a Chainsaw to the Federal Bureaucratic Quagmire which is the cause of every single problem in the USA today. The more Washington Creates Agencies, Bureaus, Commissions, Departments and Task forces to deal with problems, the worse the problems get and this is by design of the Marxist Bureaucratic Government style. The USSR had this model and we have outdone the Russian Communists in Wasteful Spending that eventually caused the USSR to collapse. We have surpassed the Soviets in our Worthless and Costly Bureaucracy. This has to end, or the country is finished.
