Barack Obama in the 1990’s: “I don’t think people should be able to own guns”
According to this article while Barack Obama was still at the University of Chicago he met with gun rights advocate John Lott and told him that he didn’t believe the people should be allowed to own guns.
The article above then lists four positions Barack Obama has taken in the past on the second amendment:
1. In a 1998 questionnaire for the Illinois state legislature, Obama said he wanted to “ban the sale or transfer of all sorts of semi-automatic weapons.”
2. From 1998-2001 Obama was on the board of the Joyce Foundation, the “major funder for gun-control research” at that time.
3. Obama opposes concealed carry and always has (every state but Illinois disagrees with him).
4. Obama only sees two “legitimate” purposes for guns: “hunting and target shooting.” This means using guns for self defense is not legitimate. And this goes a long way in explaining Obama’s past support of laws banning the use of guns for self-defense in Illinois, even in one’s own home.
In the same survey mentioned above Barack Obama also stated be believed in banning the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns, yet Barack Obama and Jay Carney continue to insist that he is a believer in the second amendment.
At this point the interview with John Lott is just here-say, but if he was such a believer in the second amendment why would he and his propagandist have to keep assuring the American people he is a supporter of the second amendment, wouldn’t his record speak for itself? In my opinion it does and me thinks he doth protest too much.

At this point, Barack Obama cannot say he is opposed to guns and the 2nd. That would not advance, what is clearly his goal—the banning of all firearms. These great changes, generally, begin with baby-steps and end with gaint leaps toward the prize. It’s the old “camel nose under the tent thing”. We all know that most liberals don’t like guns for any reason—-in private hands, police hands or even in the military. Just the way it is.

Exactly Ron, if Obama gets what he wants this time he isn’t going to be satisfied. He will keep coming back for a little more one piece at a time.

It appears that Obama has been preparing the disarming of the American people for at least the last two decades as though he has been preparing for the rebellion he is now fomenting ever so gingerly. He is wagering that if the lie is repeated until it becomes the truth, that is his support of the second amendment, he will be able to divide the country into two camps and thereby make it possible for his military to clean up the gun toting rabble.

Of course his record speaks for itself. The trouble is, the media has worked its fingers to the bone to make sure that record doesn’t become public knowledge. They have done so from the start and as Obama enters his second term, they continue on the same path.

We need to keep our eye on ammo. The EPA at one point attempted to come down on the lead in bullets.

That is what is going to happen son. A fish and game club near me is no longer allowed to shoot outdoors because of the lead in the bullets. Neighbors of the club have been trying to shut it down for years because of the noise and were unable to do so, so they changed tactics and took them on for the environment and won. This is going to happen all throughout the US eventually.

The press under the Nazis, Soviets, Mao, Fidel et al had every reason to lie and distort: their freedom and their lives were on the line. In this country with freedom of the press, freedom of speech in an open society the vermin in today’s MSM are preaching and supporting an ideology that they appear to love more than their and their future generations’ freedom and persuit of happiness. These bastards are the worst of the worst. Unfortunately a majority of these university schooled journalists are incapable if critical thinking or, in simpler terms, unable to look at the bigger picture when contemplating what the future America will look like but they will be the first to cry foul when the logical extension of what they are bringing down on all if us including them comes to pass.
