Obamacare: Taxes to be double original estimate
March 13, 2013
According to this report the new taxes due to Obamacare will total just over $1 trillion–double what the original estimates were when this disaster was being debated in the House and Senate.
If you click on the link above you can see all of the new taxes which will soon be coming our way and you will notice that 12 of these taxes will affect people earning less than $250,ooo.
In case you have forgotten, while Barack Obama was running for president in 2008 he promised that nobody making under $250, ooo would see even one single dime of their taxes increased.

A trillion dolars? that’s a nice round number. It must be Pelosi’s fault.

Most assuredly he had his fingers crossed when he promised so we can’t hold him to anything he said.

The linked article, as well as this post, imply that amounts charged – the rates – of these taxes will be double the original estimate – as in, “They said they were going to charge 5%, but now it turns out they’re goint to charge 10%.” But that’s not the case.
If you go so far as to examine the chart in the linked article, you will see that the estimates from 3/10 and now are not based on different tax rates, but are projections of estimated revenues generated by the taxes included in PPACA. These are two different things. Now, you may want to bitch and moan about the actual issue pointed out by the chart, butintegrity demands that you not hold up a bushel of apples and insist they’re oranges.
Take good care and may God bless us all.
