Communism survivor explains why the second amendment must not be usurped

April 10, 2013

Here is a great video I found at Sentry Journal of a communism survivor explaining why the second amendment must not be usurped. In this video he states that many people don’t understand what freedom is because they have never lost it, and I feel he is 100% right. Too many people in this country will not understand what freedom is until it is lost, and at that point it will be too late.

I saw earlier and the case could not have been made more strongly. Too many conservatives are taking the background check way too lightly.

I agree on both points! If there is a universal check the feds will know who bought weapons and how many times they bought them and this will be a defacto registry. I know I didn’t see this at first and I think there are too many people who don’t see it yet.

I fear Americans won’t wake up until they feel the loss of their fredoms personally.

I agree, it has been happening so slowly that many people don’t even see it coming. It won’t be until it is too late that Americans wake up and realize what they did.

Seeing that clip reminded me of a scene from the movie “Viva Zapata”. It was set in the Presidental Palace following a successful revolution to over throw Diaz. The new president asked General Zapata to stack his arms since the fighting was over. Zapata played by Marlin Brando took his gun and pointed it at the president and said, “give me your watch”, the shocked president handed over the watch, then Zapata gave the president his gun and said now you can have your watch back. Zapata made a powerful statement. It is strange that this clip was on utube until the gun debate started, but it is no longer there—I’ve looked because I wanted to post it. John Steinbeck, the writer of “Viva Zapata” was an avowed liberal, but even he recognized the importance of the peoples right to bear arms. Many in this nation just do see the need for gun ownership and like the old Cuban, will never see the need for guns until they lose their freedoms.

I haven’t seen that movie Ron but I would love to see that scene, it does sound like it sums it all up in a nutshell.

Thanks for the mention Steve. This American gets it and why so many of his fellow citizens can’t see it as clearly as him is mind boggling. Not once did he mention hunting…it’s all about tyranny and having the ability to defend ourselves from it.

No problem John, it was a great find! I think more of us get it on this issue than Obama thought, but that is still not going to stop him from pushing this through by whatever means necessary.

This week marks the 73rd anniversary of the Katyn Forest massacre. Over 26,000 Poles shot by the Soviets. Were the entire nation armed it wouldn’t have happened I think.

Liberals don’t care though that’s the sad thing.

That is the problem, liberals don’t care, they have their agenda and they will not let facts get in the way.

    Steve,
This is the comment i posted on Sentry Journal:

If you care to experience the the all pervading chill of a police state, such as is descending upon this country, travel to Cuba. There you can see first hand friends, relatives, even in the privacy of their own homes not dare to voice discontent with the Castro regime. Once we lose our 2nd amendment rights the others will fall like so many dominos; you can bet on it.
God bless Manuel Martinez and a pox on the houses of the traitor Bob Menendez and his band of fellow travelers and poverty pimps. Just as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et al have used their blackness to prey upon and keep down their black sycophants so has Menendez used his Cuban heritage to weasel his way into the US Senate where he is in a great position to foster and promote the growing socialist agenda in this country.

Problem is, the Senator? / Representative speaking, was Floyd Prozanski, ….. a snake in the grass, if I’ve ever seen one ….. They’ll do what they want, in spite of us!
