Obamacare: Harry Reid claims more money needs to be spent on healthcare reform to prevent a train wreck

May 2, 2013

Two weeks ago the author of Obamacare, Max Baucus, admitted he was worried that his legislation could turn into a train wreck while at the same time deflecting the blame away from himself and the legislation by claiming that Kathleen Kathleen Sebelius wasn’t implementing it properly.

Two days ago Harry Reid echoed the concerns of Max Baucus:

Max said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a train wreck, and I agree with him

However, when Harry Reid talks about implementing Obamacare properly what he is really talking about is spending even more money on this legislation:

Reid warned the federal government is not spending enough money to implement the law Here’s what we have now, we have the menu but we don’t have any way to get to the menu

And I will give you one guess whom Harry Reid is blaming for the impending train wreck.

The Republicans of course! The costs of implementing this legislation have already skyrocketed from the initial estimates and now Harry Reid is saying the only wave to stave off the impending disaster is to spend even more money, and he is already trying to set the table in order to blame Republicans when it fails.

This is coming from the same party which told the American people during the healthcare debate that the Republican plan for healthcare reform was for people to get sick and die quickly. They constantly attacked Republicans for not supporting the legislation and it was passed with no Republican support and near universal Democrat support so I have news for Harry Reid–Democrats own this legislation.

The Democrats are now trying to distance themselves from Barack Obama’s signature legislation but I think the American people know who is responsible for foisting this on the American people by using every procedural maneuver, gimmick  and bribe available to them.

The Affordable Care Act is fast becoming the unaffordable act. It was pushed through so quickly after the election of Scott Brown with all its flaws intact. I just can’t see the U.S. House voting any more money for it. Reid and Baucus are right the train wreck is coming. And the democrats will be forced to place any blame for Obamacares failures on the republicans—-they have to find a scape goat.

Exactly Ron, they see what is coming and they are trying to distance themselves from it. Personally I don’t think this is going to work this time.

Socialism has failed wherever it has been triedand the socialist always blame someone else for the fail. I don’t think their plan is going to work this time.

I don’t think the Dems will be able to avoid taking the hit on this one either. At least I hope not.

The American people will know whose baby this monstrosity is and whose to blame for the cataclysm Obama Nocare is becoming? Don’t. Be so sure. A majority of Americans are still out to lunch as they were on Election Day last November.

I know Peter, I am trying to hold out hope that something will wake people up and maybe this will be it. I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t however.

My next door neighbors, typical middle class, still blame Bush for their personal financial demise accelerated by their inability to find jobs since their layoffs two years ago. They blame the Connecticut massacre on the republicans in congress sitting on their fat asses( their words not mine) and refusing to pass gun control legislation. We cannot underestimate the influence of the state run media and the overwhelming ignorance of the general public. Ignorance is not bliss, ignorance is pain.

Peter, I read this quote somewhere, “Ignorance carries an extremely high price tag”! It kind of fits your neighbors, we have the same around us. I look at it this way, they are going to suffer along with the rest of us, so no one will be immune to this crap, it will go “viral” when it starts kicking in. Does that make me feel better? No, not really, but at least some justice will be served on those that voted blindly for this Administration instead of paying attention.

You neighbors are part of the problem! They are simply thinking with their hearts instead of with their heads and if they think Obama is going to help them out they are sadly mistaken.

It’s always a “crisis” that needs to be averted… like the Sequester. After the FAA got sorted out nobody cared. We’re spending enough money already cutting 5% isn’t noticed by anybody.

    Sad stuff.

This regime just jumps from one crisis to another, keeping the American people on edge in order to implement more liberty stealing legislation.

From genicide to infanticide, there are no boundries to the evils in the socialist camp. Just as FDR’s wartime administration was a breeding ground for soviet agents so is the Obama administration a safe haven for all things anti-what this country is supposed to stand for. It took several decades after Stalin’s death for the soviet government to admit to his evils. How long after, if ever, after Ol’ floppy ears assumes room temperature will this country heap upon him the disgrace he will so deserve?

In today’s politically correct culture I don’t think we will ever see the MSM turn on him, even after he is gone.
