The woman in charge during the IRS scandal is now running the office responsible for enforcing Obamacare
At the end of yesterday’s post regarding the story about the IRS illegally seizing the health records of 10 million Americans I wrote the following:
Now that we know the IRS has been exposed as being nothing more than a political gestapo doing the bidding for the Obama regime one has to wonder what criteria they will use while enforcing Obamacare. Will it go something like this: So you need open heart surgery, do you? Tell us again who you intend to vote for in the next election.
Tinfoil hat material? Maybe, but do you trust the IRS anymore, if you did in the first place?
Well it might not be tinfoil hat material after all because the woman in charge of the office which oversees tax exempt organizations during the time conservative groups were targeted and harassed is now running the office in charge of overseeing the enforcement of Obamacare.
The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation.
Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today.
We now have a woman who is a proven ideologue, a woman who used her position for purely political purposes, a woman who should resign for her role in the IRS scandal, in charge of enforcing Obamacare and if her past actions are any indication we can expect her to do the same in her new role.
This is unacceptable and it should draw the ire of all Americans regardless of whether you are a Republican or a Democrat. This cannot be tolerated!
To this point Barack Obama has “fired” (technically he asked him to resign) one person in order to show he knows “whose ass to kick”–to quote the president when he was talking about the BP oil spill–but that person may stay on until June when he was set to step down anyway. That was quite a show of strength Mr President, now do your job and ask for the resignation of Sarah Ingram if you are indeed serious about this.

The IRS being in charge of Obamacare enforcement certainly gives a new meaning to the phrase “death and taxes”. This will give those in the IRS who have a political ax to grind not just the opportunity to dip into the wallet, but actually permanately silence those who oppose their agenda.

It sure does give new meaning to death and taxes Ron, this is a win-win situation for the Obama regime.

Everyday it gets worse. Previously I was enjoying the unfolding. Today, alarm is setting in big time for me. There is no way this will end well.

The bright side of this could be that the IRS scandal will shine a light on the people who had no idea the IRS was going to be enforcing Obamacare.

Yep, how can it not add steam to the Obamacare repeal movement? It passed in the House no prob of course -with two Dems joining us- so all we need is a GOP Senate…

If I understand the background of this story correctly, the man who Obama asked to resign has only been on the job for a week. Does Obama really think we are stupid enough to believe that falls into the category of “doing his job”?

LD, Steven Miller was appointed Acting Commissioner in November 2012, for a term limited by statute to 210 days – so he was in office only until early June. He was appointed after Commissioner Douglas Shulman’s 5-year term expired and the GOP made it clear to the President that they’d block any appointment he made to the Commissioner’s post. The post of Acting Commissioner, I understand, does not require Senate confirmation, but must be re-appointed every 210 days.

Proven ideologue? Not quite. The 501(c)4 designation is relatively new and provides, for the first time, that an organization may obtain tax-exempt status even while engaged in some political activities – it’s just that those activities may not, to my understanding, be more than 50% of its activity. I don’t think it’s at all unreasonable to suggest that TParty groups might be engaged in political activity more than 50% of their time, and that the agency responsible for approving their designation give them extra attention.
I honestly don’t know if any of the Occupy groups applied for 501(c)4 status, but I’d expect them to get the same level of scrutiny.
That said, the requests we’ve heard of – full contributor lists, complete transcripts of all Tweets and FB postings, etc., are way beyond the pale. If Ms. Ingram was responsible for those requirements – especially if leftwing counterparts to TParty groups like Occupy were not subjected to them, I’ll agree that she’s the ideologue you’ve painted her to be.
No doubt about it, though, Ms. Ingram won’t be running the IRS operation responsible for PPACA.
Take good care and may God bless us all!

Well it is now being reported that almost 500 conservative groups were scrutinized and as of yet no left leaning organization has come forward to claim the same scrutiny which leads me to believe there was a double standard. And then there is the case of the organization run by Obama’s half brother; it had been operating illegally as a tax exempt organization for years and was approved by the IRS within one month and the approval was retroactive which basically forgave the illegal activities, in mu opinion this proves it was ideologically driven. There is also the story of the conservative group which waited months for approval and after changing its name to a more “liberal sounding” name was approved in three weeks, I don’t know if this example is true but if it is shown to be true I don’t think any further proof is needed considering we have no reported incidences of liberal groups being so scrutinized.
As far as Ingram goes, I think you are probably right about her not running the Obamacare office before all is said and done.

‘I don’t know’, ‘I can’t remember’, ‘I wasn’t responsible’, ‘I didn’t do that’, ‘I didn’t have any idea that this was going on’, ‘I have no recollection of that’; THOSE are the answers that Congress is getting from Obama’s administration, the people that run this nation!
That is totally unacceptable.
