Are we headed towards WWIII?

June 16, 2013

Earlier this week the Obama regime announced that Syria had passed Barack Obama’s red line when it confirmed that Syrian President  Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons against the al-Qaeda supported rebels who are seeking to overthrow him.

Because Syria reportedly crossed this red line the Obama regime announced that the United States of America will begin actively supporting the rebels with weapons to aid them in the fight against al-Assad. It is now public knowledge that Barack Obama is ready to supply the rebels with weapons, but in reality the regime may have already been smuggling weapons into Syria which is why the attack on the consulate in Benghazi took place in the first place, but that is a story for another day.

Now that the Obama regime is publicly–instead of covertly–supplying arms to the rebels we have to look at the potential consequences of this action.

Russia is an ally of the Syrian government and immediately after Barack Obama’s announcement Russia rebuffed Barack Obama’s claim:

Information about the usage of chemical weapons by Assad is fabricated in the same way as the lie about [Saddam] Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction

So when push comes to shove is it really beyond the realm of possibility to think that Russia will send aide to its ally? I do not think so. But the news today gets even more troubling because it is being reported that Iran is on the verge of sending in 4,000 troops to support the Syrian government, while the United States is putting pressure on England and France to join in supporting the rebels as well.

And then there is Egypt and Libya: Both regimes saw the overthrow of their governments and both were supported by the Obama regime in the name of the Arab Spring. Both of these countries now have Islamist states in place and both have made statements condemning Israel and the Jews. How long can we expect Israel remain silent to what is happening all around that country?

I can foresee a scenario where Israel and Russia align themselves against Egypt, Libya, Great Britain, the United States, and France, possibly ushering in WWIII and I am very worried about this situation to say the least.

Much like his positions on Egypt and Libya Barack Obama’s has decided to involve America in Syria’s civil war and his suddenly neo-conistic view on foreign affairs should be troubling to the ant-war left who have been conspicuously absent in their critique of foreign policy since 2008, but as of yet they still remain silent.

I honestly hope that I am wrong about this, and I honestly hope that I am blowing this way out of proportion but it seems to me as if we are standing on the precipice of WWIII and I am fearful that the world is about to be engulfed in flames in part due to Barack Obama’s pro-Muslim, anti-Semitic foreign policy.

This is nothing more than a proxy war. Always has been. Has to be expected when Russia supports any government that America opposes.. I don’t care how close obama thinks he is with Putin, Russia has always been, and always be an enemy. Not that the populace of Russia wants this…but like our arrogant government who thinks we’re better than everyone and have the authority to police the world, Russia will always stand defiant.

Strange bedfellows but not beyond the realm of possibility considering the threats Israel now faces.
Russia and the US aligned themselves in WWII not because they were friendly but because they had a common enemy.

Something doesn’t seem right about this Syrian conflict. Israel has been strangely quite and with the exception of moving a few tank units to the Golan Heights they have done little. Irans movement of some 4000 revolutionary guard troops with more to come is worrying to say the least. Especially since many of then seem to be slated to face off against the Israeli in Golan. This middle east does have a way of bringing Russia and the U.S. into conflict. I can recall one time in the history of that region when the U.S. and the old Soviet Union seemly shared the same goal and that was in the Suez conflict of 1956 when France, England, and Israel were trying to stop Egypt from gaining control of the Canal. They were forced to back down because of the U.S. and Russia demanding it. Times change, as times always must and as I see it, the outcome of this current conflict with the major powers taking sides is anyones guess—WWIII is always a possibility because things could rapidly spin out of control as and we could become victims to rapidly unfolding events.

Well said Ron and I am afraid that things are going to spin out of control. I think Israel has been silent while they wait for things to play out but they will not remain silent for long.

I wouldn’t mind a bit if Israel kicked their asses. *Sigh* I don’t really mean that. It wouldn’t just be soldiers fighting against soldiers. It would mean casualties of non-combatants – innocence men, women, children – destruction of their countries – buildings, homes, the land. Life is hard, darn it! There just aren’t any easy answers, are there?

No there are not and the one thing that we can count on from Russia and Israel is the fact that they will not use ROE that will prohibit their soldiers from doing whatever is necessary to win, and if that means killing civilians that is precisely what they will do.

    Steve,

This concerns me greatly. We don’t need to be messing in their war at all! Neither side is the ‘good guy’, but Assad is slightly less bad than the rebels. Isn’t there any way we can stop them from giving them weapons? Weapons that, later, will probably be used on us or our allies. What about the reports that is was actually the rebels and not Assad who used the chemical weapons? What about the fact that the only reports of Assad using chemical weapons are coming from the U.S. I don’t think there is any outside support or evidence, all foreign articles are citing only “evidence” coming from our government. This is just so wrong! I can’t believe those stupidos in Congress who are urging O to do this! McCain actually said, after his unbelievable visit there, “”They do not understand why we won’t help them,…” Unbelievable, why should we help them at all?? http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57586817/mccain-syrian-rebels-dont-understand-why-we-wont-help/

    This is an interesting article:

“The inner circle of Assad’s administration – both civilian and military – is overwhelmingly comprised of the minority Alawite sect. Their syncretic belief system has resulted in them being declared heretics by the majority of Sunni Muslims (although Alawites claim to be a branch of Shia Islam). In Syria, where Sunnis comprise around 75% of the population, anti-Alawite sentiments have festered below the surface for decades.”

It also states, “…Alawites and Christians [remain] largely loyal to the government.”

    http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2013/03/assads-jihad-against-syrian-rebels-and-what-it-tells-us-about-his-regime/

O wants to help the rebels get Assad out so they can what? Install the same fabulous government Egypt did after removing Mubarak???

What the hell is our government thinking? I say (not completely seriously) pull ALL our military home, put them on the borders, and nuke anyone who threatens us.

All good questions Laura and why is nobody asking what our interests are to be getting involved in this conflict. There are reports that it was the rebels who used the chemical weapons but that doesn’t seem to matter to the MSM. Obama is using this for a diversion to take the focus off of his scandals and this could turn out to be a deadly game.

Laura, we have been sticking our nose in where it doesn’t belong for a long time, is it any wonder that we are hated by other countries? We have an ulterior motive for everything we do when we say we are going to these countries to “help”. As for our borders, we DO have the capability of sealing them up or putting military or national guard on them, but that is not in the game plan.

I know. I may not have mentioned it (I probably did cause I’m such a chatterbox 🙂 ), but I used to be in favor of aiding people when their government mistreated them. NO MORE! I have rapidly become a non-interventionist. Sometimes I wish I could say ‘if it doesn’t directly affect us – kill whoever you want, but if you threaten us you get ONE warning – if you continue, it’s bombs away. That’s a bad attitude, I know, but sometimes I wish that’s what we could say.

About the borders, I agree. Those who truly believe in open borders are just stooopid. Those who don’t want to protect our borders for their own agenda are just evil.

        Steve,

For me, it’s not just that we haven’t gotten a ‘return on our investment’ when we provide aid, not even good will. I believe we need to take care of US before we do things for other countries. I do NOT mean welfare! I mean ensure our Country’s borders are protected – we don’t have money for that, but we can give billions to other countries?? That’s wrong.

Question: where do all the billions in foreign aid come from? I thought our Country had no money – the sequestration? 17,000,000,000,000 in debt??? If D.C. has all this money it can just give away – we are obviously paying WAY too much in taxes. In fact, we need to lower taxes so they don’t have so much money they feel the need to just give it away to foreign countries.

(warning explicit language ahead 🙂 ) What the fuck are they thinking??? I want to scream, tear my hair out, break down and sob at the stupidity and just plain wrongness of their thinking. We have a long, hard road ahead of us in fixing this mess.

Question for everyone: do you think if there is world war and O tries to involve us, the people would rise up and not allow it to happen? Would that be OUR ‘red line?’ People have been talking about this for months, would this be the signal that it’s time?

I want to say, #$^# the world. We need to close all borders to ALL people, stop sending foreign aid to other countries (that may sound cruel, but right now we need it worse) until we can get back on our financial feet again. However, What good would it do to save all this money, when we know the government would just take it and waste it elsewhere? Like obamacare…. Damned if we do, Damned if we don’t.

That is why we need to fix our corrupt and broken system! If you haven’t checked out The New Federalist Party, I urge you to do so – the link is posted on the top right of this page. Our platform is a plan designed to fix our illegitimate federal government. Continuing to elect good people to this corrupt system won’t change anything. Our articles are meant to work together to change what is wrong in D.C. and restore our Country to the Constitutional Republic our Founding Fathers created for us.

        sonny,

It is NOT cruel, it is smart! It is insanely stupid to NOT make sure our Country and People are taken care of before we try to help other people in other countries!

        Think of these situations:

When a plane looses pressure and the O2 masks drop down, what is the FIRST thing a person does? They put their own masks on!!!! They can’t help ANYONE unless they can breathe!

I was an EMT-B and I trained as a medic. The first thing we were taught and it was continually drilled into us – protect ourselves and our partners FIRST and FOREMOST!!! We not only can’t help the patients if we are injured or taken out, we become additional patients for the medics that drain the limited resources we provide out EMS. It doesn’t matter what the situation is – inclement weather, hazardous chemicals, fire, dangerous traffic situation, criminal activity – protect yourself and your partner FIRST.

We are not doing this, we are worried about everyone and everything BUT our People and Country. It’s not sustainable (I don’t like using that word because it is associated with the U.N.’s Agenda 21 – Sustainable Development), we will collapse as a country.

Ha, Laura, we were also told that “if it is not documented, it never happened” with EMS (fellow EMT here). Yep, you always had your partners back and you secured the scene before going in. It seems that the Administration is less interested in Americans than they are the rest of the World. For some reason we can find millions (turn on the printing presses) to give to countries that HATE us, but we just can’t seem to give grandma an extra increase on the SS, so she can buy some meat. It pisses me off that we throw money at countries that demand it from us instead of saying no. When someone makes demands of ME, I have a few choice words and walk away, doesn’t it seem strange that the Administration puts up with this? We are out of money, but for someone reason, that doesn’t bother Obama, trips are so inexpensive, you know!

The NDAA indefinite detention applies to: “…a person who was a part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners.”

Wouldn’t arming the rebels mean he could be indefinitely detained?? Of course he is the one who tells the military who to detain, I don’t see him telling the military to detain himself, lol.

Western and American interests are not with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Tunisia, and Syria; not with the stealth Islamist regime in Turkey for which the Obama Administration just renewed a waiver on sanctions against Iran (!); not with the rejectionist Palestinian Authority, not with some “moderate Islamist” faction of the Iranian regime”

We keep aligning our failed foreign polices with England and France. The Middle East mess is the direct result of these two former colonial powers. We need a reset. Our chickens have indeed come home to roost. Our degenerate political system which functions only for the benefit of the degenerate elephants and donkeys has brought us to a place and time where there is an absolute vacuum of leadership with not a true statesman to be found in Washington. To date there is not even a lone rational voice speaking out against what is being perpetrated against this country and ultimately the western world by Muhammed Hussein Obama. Our involvement in Syria will dwarf Bill Clinton’s war crimes in the Balkins back in the nineties as well as Bush’s Middle East oil wars. Whatever resistance may exist will be pacified with the opportunity for the monies to be made in government contracting. Open borders, amnesty, joblessness, overwhelming national debt, a faled economy. (Unless you’re on Wall Street), Obamacare, domestic spying, cameras on our street corners, a stench coming from the IRS, FBI, Homeland Security, on and on and on. Obama’s Syrian Spring will be the icing on the cake. Along with there being “No England anymore” following in those footsteps will be “No America anymore” This will be the legacy of Obama and the vacuous American electorate. What is becoming more evident everyday is that Obama ‘s best laid plans will not go awry.

The first question that comes to mind is this: How can America pay for another war, let alone a World War? The second question: How are you going to convince the young men and women to sign up for another war after all the lies their government made as for their reason for sending the young men and women to the wars before? I have a nagging feeling that the answer to both question is by force: the government is 1) going to confiscate private property to pay for the cost of the war and 2) the young men and women will be drafted to fight the war – and much more, to maintain control of their fellow Americans in the domestic front. I’m afraid that the “scandals” that are being leaked in succession, almost on a weekly basis are but a smoke screen to obscure the coming of the main event – the inevitable collapse of the American economy.

When that event comes, which is becoming closer and closer to reality, what with the runaway national debt and the inevitable foreign flight from the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, the Government has to find a way to maintain control of its citizens, who wakes up one morning to find their savings and properties worthless or gone. But how can you control a very angry citizenry who surely blames the government for putting them in this situation? The answer: Martial Law. But how do you impose Martial Law in America, the home of the brave and the free? Very easy! It’s called the Dictator’s Playbook – a set of instructions revised and perfected and practiced (on other nations) by the US Intelligence machine. While, in other nations, Martial Law was forced on the citizens, the American version will be different: the nation of the brave and the free will be begging for it. For the plan to work, the begging has to happen before the economic collapse. Which only means that the plan is already unfolding as we speak. I don’t think the Snowden affair is a turf battle between the CIA and NSA, like many citizens like to believe – there are just too may holes in that line of thinking – or the “dots” just won’t connect. I would much rather call it a dictated collaboration.

The Dictator’s Playbook would detail how the public’s resistance can be reduced to insignificance. Marcos staged this phase to perfection before he declared Martial Law in the Philippines in 1972. Bombings and mass murders and bloody mayhem were happening on a daily basis – that the government blamed on communists, of course, the al-qaeda of the time; the Filipinos were so ready for or accepting of it when martial law came down.

In order to do something similar here in the USA, the real powers-that-be had to tweak the Playbook just a little: Before the mayhem can proceed, they have to shut down the vaunted trillion-dollar surveillance system. Although the public was not aware of this system or how it was being used, it surely was aware that the Government has a very expensive system, paid for by their taxes, that is being used to catch the bad guys before they can do bad things. This is where Snowden comes in. His revelation of the secret snooping of the Government on its own citizens will create such a firestorm of controversy that the Government is “forced” to turn the system off. See the beauty of it? The public, itself made the Government turn the system off. Alleluia! Power rests with the people, Rah, Rah, Rah! Then the mayhem begins – all to be blamed on terrorists, of course. And Martial Law will be a walk in the park. And remember Jesse Ventura’s “concentration camps”? I think that’s where a small number of us non-believers are going to be – for our protection. And who’s going to be in charge of these camps to make sure the residents are safe? A good fit for the famous mercenaries of the CIA’s Blackwater, don’t you think? And one more “dot” to connect with the others: the Government’s incessant attempts to control our ownership of our guns.

I hope and pray that events will prove me and my suspicions wrong.
