Here is the open thread for Sunday, July 7th; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues may arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

This was an exciting week for the New Federalist Party as the platform is now complete! To check out the platform and see what the party stands for please click here, you will be able to view, download, and print the platform.
While this is the official platform as of now it will not be finalized until after it is voted on at the convention, at which time amendments can be introduced and voted on, and that is where you come in. In addition to seeking donations to get the party off the ground we are also now actively seeking delegates to the convention. This will most likely be either a telephone or internet convention so no travel is needed and this could be your chance to have a voice in the final platform.
Now on to the musical selection. With Barack Obama’s foreign policy falling apart right before our eyes, and with Egypt on fire as the people have rejected Barack Obama’s policies this week’s choice was an easy one. Here is an acoustic version of ‘Fire in Cairo’ by The Cure recorded in 1993.

It’s not enough to dis-believe the “SPIN” of the lamestream media. Sometimes, it’s something we need to know more about because of how it impacts us at home. Such is the case of what is going on in Egypt / Cairo right now. Cool video Steve! How apropos. Watching the mobs in Cairo all week on Fox News just tweeked me with the actual thought that We Can do this too. The Pretender In Chief is falling down the stairs…finally, and We The People finally have a real chance of booting him out of office. My daughter is in Army Special Forces and says that whenever needed, the Military will certainly turn on him!!!!

Saw a FB comment about martial law in Pembroke, NC as of some time yesterday(7-6-2013). Curious if you have heard anything about a riot or altercation that resulted in a “massive” police presence that was supplemented by the National Guard? Have not found any supporting information as of yet, but you guys are usually on top of these kinds of things.

Here’s a tidbit I ran across: an American street preacher was arrested in London for preaching about the sin of homosexualty from the bible. He was interrogated in depth about his feelings about homos on the street by two London policemen who then arrested him. After being released later that same day he decided to leave the christian U.K. for a country that will tolerate Christian preaching. Wanna’ bet preaching death to homos from the Koran is OK?
