Barack Obama claims Washington has “taken its eye off the ball” in regards to the economy
Today Barack Obama decided to refocus on the economy after ignoring it for most of his tenure as president. During his speech today he claimed that the Congress has “taken its eye off the ball” and has focused on “phony scandals” instead of the economy. As if the concerns of Americans on the issues of spying and being targeted by the IRS for political reasons is of little importance.
As the leader in Washington Barack Obama has used his second term to push gun control, immigration reform, and climate change legislation while exploiting the George Zimmerman verdict, so if the Congress took its eye off the ball it is because they have focused on the issues Barack Obama saw as the most important.
With this statement he is blaming Washington for America’s continued economic woes while ignoring the fact that he is part of Washington. If Washington (read the Congress) is guilty of taking their eyes off the ball it is due to the fact that they went where Barack Obama led them. He cannot have it both ways…..

This jerk is the clown prince of economics. It’s doubtful he could make change for the laundromat. Beyond his rhetoric and wholesale blather what is amazing is how the zombies filling the seats whether the venue is a college campus, senior citizen home or a town hall hang on his every word and suck it all up. Since he has killed their jobs along with the economy they must be thankful for the leisure time and government handouts he has made possible. The wealthy and corporate elites understandably are in his hip pocket since he has redefined cronyism on every level. And now that he has declared he will revive the economy from the middle out the question that remains is whose pockets he will pick, most likely the investor class and the job creators. The next head scratching moment comes when Hillary has to decide how big a wrecking ball she will need to finish the job of economic, cultural, and racial mass destruction.

You are exactly right, the reason these people still support him is because they are benefiting from the handouts and this is exactly what Romney was talking about. They do not see the damage he is doing because he has made it up to them at the sacrifice of the working people.

It’s hhard for Congress to keep its eye on the ball when Obama takes the ball and goes off to Martha’s Vineyard.

Amen to that!

This is classic Three Card Monty. Blame Congress. Then blame the other party. Then blame the culture of Washington… then do the two step so you don’t get any of the blame.
This is the oldest move in the book.
Good thing Obama said he’d be different.

Yeah, change sure looks a whole lot like the same.

Apparently, U.S. citizens, not to mention the entire continent of Europe disagrees with his assessment of “phony” scandals.

I don’t particularly care for Rush Limbaugh, but he has been pointing this out for months. Barack Obama is part of Washington, but he acts as if he is an outsider. He sets things in motion and then campaigns against them. With the media firmly planted in his back pocket, he is getting away with sidestepping all the blame that is due him.

That is an interesting point and it does seem to be working. He talked of Washington yesterday as if we were not a part of it and he demanded they change their ways.

He is just doing what he does best, “passing the buck”! Nothing can ever be his fault, I am sure there is a standing order on it. I take the blame when I do something wrong, should we not expect the same out of the person that holds our highest office? We can “blame” the media for this one, they won’t stop what they are doing, but we can blame them.

And the sad part is that it always seems to work, nothing seems to stick to him.

Isn’t it considered insanity if you keep doing the same thing and hope for a different result?

Yes it is!

Well, as far as I can tell, I didn’t hear it was Bush’s fault. Other than that the community organizer was in full mode of dividing.

But, B, it IS Bushes fault, isn’t it just implied now?

When it comes to the economy I think it is now simply implied that it is Bush’s fault.

Obama would claim that the moon was made of CHEESE if he thought it would distract people from his scandals and failures..
