Steny Hoyer admits Democrats knew people would lose their healthcare coverage under Obamacare

October 29, 2013

Yesterday was a bad day for the president; first the White House was forced to admit that some people would not be able to keep their healthcare coverage now that Obamacare is the law of the land, and then we learned Barack Obama has known for three years that millions of people would lose their healthcare coverage under his signature legislation.

Of course during those three years in which Barack Obama knew the truth he continued to tell the useful idiots that they would be able to keep their plan if they liked it, purposely lying to the American people to push his radical agenda.

And then today Steny Hoyer, when pressured by reporters, admitted that they all knew people would lose their healthcare coverage:

We knew that there would be some policies that would not qualify and therefore people would be required to get more extensive coverage

It goes without saying that “more extensive” coverage means more expensive coverage so in addition to people losing plans that they liked they will also be paying more for the plans the federal government is forcing them to purchase. And I though this law was supposed to save people $2,500 a year?

Steny Hoyer still defended this lie by claiming Barack Obama’s message about keeping your insurance if you like it was the truth…..to a point:

“I don’t think the message was wrong. I think the message was accurate. It was not precise enough…[it] should have been caveated with – ‘assuming you have a policy that in fact does do what the bill is designed to do.’”

He admits the message should have been tweaked to say if you like your plan and it conforms to the new law you will be able to keep it, but of course this was not the message being disseminated to the American people. And why is that?

Because that message would have run counter to the message the Democrats wanted the American people to hear, and if that caveat was added to the talking points the American people (who already did not like the law anyways) would have revolted and the Democrats opportunity to nationalize the healthcare system would have been lost.

So they ran with what they knew was a lie in order to get the measure passed because the end justifies the means and they figured they could just spin their way out of this once the law was enacted and the possibility of repealing it was lost.

Fox replayed a Romney clip that occurred during one of the debates and it is exactly what he said regarding millions losing their policies. I am still trying to dig it up. It is special.

As I see it either the President knew he was lying or else he was completely ignorant about his signature piece of legislation, in either case it does not bode well for our esteemed leader. James Carville commented on just this point tonight on Oreilly. Basically saying this was old news and we should have know about this years ago—-he was right and many of us did. I like Carville and use to live just across the river (Mississippi River) from him many years ago near the small town of Carville, LA which was, at that time, home to the only Leper Colony in the continential United States. Sometime I wonder if he escaped from there—just joking. Poor James, he just can’t help himself—how does Mary Matalin put up with him!

We’re still waiting with baited breath for the newsreaders on every station from MSLSD to FOX News to say those two little words which to date none of them dare to say, “He lied.” I am still of the opinion he walks away from this unscathed. Keep in mind his opposition, the republicans.

They just won’t use that word will they? They prefer “mislead” or it “wasn’t the truth.” Just come out and say it!
