Barack Obama to change the definition of ‘enrollee’ to inflate Obamacare signup numbers
The Obama regime is set to release the enrollment numbers for Obamacare later this week and it is being reported that the number will be roughly 50,000 people who were able to successfully enroll in Obamacare.
That number is pathetic to say the least considering it comes in at only 3% of the Dear Leader’s expectations.
But as bad as that number is it is actually worse for for the Obama regime because it turns out, if this report is true, that the Obama regime changed the definition of what an ‘enrollee’ was in order to get to the 3% number. The number would even be lower if the Obama regime used the same standards insurance companies have used over the years to report enrollee numbers.
The fight over how to define the new health law’s success is coming down to one question: Who counts as an Obamacare enrollee?
Health insurance plans only count subscribers as enrolled in a health plan once they’ve submited a payment. That is when the carrier sends out a member card and begins paying doctor bills.
When the Obama administration releases health law enrollment figures later this week, though, it will use a more expansive definition. It will count people who have purchased a plan as well as those who have a plan sitting in their online shopping cart but have not yet paid.
“In the data that will be released this week, ‘enrollment’ will measure people who have filled out an application and selected a qualified health plan in the marketplace,” said an administration official, who requested anonymity to frankly describe the methodology.
A “more expansive” definition? In other words the Obama regime is inflating the numbers because they are so disappointing. Of course, this is not the first time we have seen the Obama regime resort to such tactics. When the stimulus did not live up to its expectations and failed to create the number of jobs Barack Obama promised it would the regime started counting ‘jobs saved’ as well as ‘jobs created’ to make it appear as if the stimulus was working better than it really was. This is more of the same, I guess it depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is…..
Lies, deception, and manipulation; that is all we get from the Obama regime.

I’m shocked, totally shocked that “Dear Leader” would resort to such subterfuse. But seriously, this is no surprise. I wonder what other goodies are hidden beneath that dark veil of the most transparent administration in history.

The same thing was done with the jobs that were created by 2010 Census. When the Census was done and the jobs disappeared nothing was said. I’m sure when the “Shopping Cart” expires ,and they always do, we will hear nothing about the revised numbers.
This Regime has always used funny numbers. I wonder if they do the same with their tax returns?
