Obamacare: 1 million California residents to lose their healthcare coverage due to healthcare reform

November 12, 2013

It is now being reported in this article that 1 million California residents have been notified they will be losing their healthcare coverage due to Obamacare.

Of course this is nothing to be concerned about according to the Obama regime, for they continue to claim that it is but a small percentage of people who will lose their healthcare coverage. Tell that to these people Mr. President, that percentage grows nearly every single day and will only get worse once the employer mandate kicks in next year.

There is a growing number of Democrats now pressing Barack Obama to delay the individual mandate: 15 Senate Democrats (who coincidentally just happen to be facing reelection) met with the president last week hoping to make some ground on this issue, today former President Bill Clinton (concerned Obamacare might cost he wife the presidency) called on Barack Obama to honor his promise to the American people, and now even Dianne Feinstein has joined the chorus of people asking for a bill that would allow people to keep their insurance.

There is currently a bill being written in the House which would allow Americans to keep their insurance and Dianne Feinstein is now a supporter of this legislation, isn’t it funny what a person’s reelection prospects can do to their position?

These people all had the chance to vote to avoid this problem back in October when the Tea Party Republicans, led by Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, offered a delay in the mandate in return for funding the government and raising the debt ceiling but the Democrats all chose to shut down the government rather than help the American people because they did not want the Republicans to get credit for this.

Now they are proposing the very thing they shut down the government to avoid because the Democrats want to take credit for avoiding the crisis which they created, and if I were the Republicans I would counter this bill with a full repeal. The Republicans hold all the cards at this point, the only question is; do they have the balls to play the cards they have been dealt?

As a life-long Californian, suffering out here on the far left coast, I say YEA! Any way to make these leftists out here suffer the results of their damaging votes makes me happy. In case any of your readers didn’t know, there ISN’T a single Republican holding state office. Combine that with a super-majority in both the Senate and Assembly, you have nothing less than the Peoples Republic of California. Maybe if they suffer enough, they might get the message.

Yeah, California is getting what is deserves so it is hard to feel sorry for these people. What is the take on the ground there? Will this finally push people in the “right” direction?

Sadly no. The labor unions, especially the very powerful state employees union, teachers union, and all other unions have incredible power. Brown is pure pro-labor. People will need to suffer far more to make a change.
