JFK assassinated 50 years ago today

November 22, 2013

On December 22nd 1963 a disgruntled and deranged communist determined to one day be famous–Lee Harvey Oswald–ascended the stairs of the  Texas School Book Depository and dubiously etched his name into the history books. As President Kennedy’s motorcade turned up Elm Street and headed into Dealy Plaza in Dallas Texas, Oswald fired three shots from the book depository,  killing the president and wounding John Connally. (At least that is the official story.)

As Lee Harvey Oswald tried to make his escape–probably to Mexico and then on to Cuba–he was confronted by Officer J.D. Tippet whom he also murdered before hiding in a movie theater where he was eventually captured.

Seven months earlier Lee Harvey Oswald failed in an attempt to assassinate General Edwin Walker, believing he was successful he confessed to his wife that he had killed the general and justified it to her by comparing Walker to Hitler. The attempt proved unsuccessful because the shot he fired was deflected by the window paine he fired the shot through. Marina Oswald never reported her husband to the authorities–if she had the assassination of JFK would never have happened.

On November 24th, 1963 Oswald was felled by a bullet fired by Jack Ruby, fueling speculation that there was actually a government conspiracy to kill the president. I am one of those people who believe there is much more to this story than we will ever know. We will never know the full details of that day and what led Lee Harvey Oswald to commit this heinous crime because of Jack Ruby.

November 22nd, 1963 was one of the darkest days in American history, those that did not live through that day can never fully understand what America was going through during this day. But there must have been anger, confusion, heartbreak, disbelief, and grief the likes of which had never been felt before on a national level.

I remember that I was in Jr. High School. 8th grade I believe. We were all on the playground pitching softballs or group volleyball and the rumor started flying through the teaching staff. They whistled for everyone to come in and put classes together and rolled in t.v.’s for us to watch. Then everyone gasped in horror and started crying! School was dismissed early that day as the teachers could not carry on. It was a totally “black cloud” day.

It must have been had for anyone to carry on with their work or concentrate on what they were doing. The days and events leading up to the funeral must have been a remarkable and frightening time.

I was witness to the events of Oct 22, 1963, and recall the events of that faithful day. I recall hearing the first comments coming across the MSM and that was that Dallas, TX was a hot bed for right wing activity—-thereby pointing an early finger at the american right for the events of that fatal day. Those commententers were only silenced when it was revealed that Lee Harvey was a child of the American left and had a love affair, not only with Russian communism, but with Fidel Castro’s marxist Cuba. When it was revealed that Oswald was a dyed in the wool communist all comments of the assassination being due to some political agenda were squashed by those in the MSM. ABC, NBC, and CBS all, all had an agenda in those days just as they have today and that was to promote the left wing theme. I recall that day, a reporter from a Tampa news station as saying I wish Lee Harvey had been a right winger. This was the mind set in 1963, and continues to be the mindset today. I had occasion to meet general Edwin Walker in 1964, at a small college in Mississippi. The same general that the MSM media accused of staging the attempt on his life some few months before the Kennedy assassignation. An attempt that was later verified by comparing the bullets from the Kennedy assassignation with those taken from the window frame of General Walker’s home. Lee Harvey Oswald was a left wing killer who is now being sold as a right wing killer by those on the new american left.

I was watching a show the other night where they kept saying that JFK’s aides were warning him not to go to Dallas because of all the right wingers there, it sure sounds like the msm at the time was still biased. It is interesting they were even spinning back then but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

America has lost a great hero John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. JFK was the real American hero.
