MSNBC fires Alec Baldwin but Martin Bashir still has a job?

November 26, 2013

It is now being reported that MSNBC has fired Alec Baldwin for his gay slur but to date Martin Bashir still has a job.

Not to defend what Alec Baldwin said, but he made his homophobic comment while he was off the air and it was not a premeditated attack. Sure, he let his true feelings about gays known to the world, but the situation surrounding what he said pales in comparison to the situation surrounding what Martin Bashir said simply because Bashir’s comment was made while on the air at MSNBC and was a scripted and premeditated attack. You have to believe that some higher-ups at MSNBC were aware about what Martin Bashir planned to say during his broadcast.

Martin Bashir has not been on the air this week but MSNBC is saying this is because of a pre-scheduled vacation. If there is any justice left in the United States of America Martin Bashir will meet the same fate as Alec Baldwin.

The fact that MSNBC has taken little action against Martin Bashir for his words (other than probably telling him to apologize) is all the proof that I need they condoned what he said. Even if they do fire him at this point it will be too little, too late at this point for they will do so not because they disagree with what he said (because they do) but rather because they are facing immense pressure from the American people to do so.

No comparison whatsoever. Say what you will about Palin, she had the death panel bit down.

Yes she did and this is why she is still being attacked so violently from people on the left.

I don’t think Bashear has enough viewers that would warrant much pressure on MSNBC. Certainly noone that shares Sarah Palin’s values watch his show.

Yeah, the pressure will not come from his viewers because they agree with him anyway. The pressure will come from all the people who have seen and read about it since it happened.

While the world slowly incinerates what is more important than protecting those riding the baloney pony and munching carpets? Maintaining decorum in the public arena of ideas is as popular with the left as Miley Cyrus wearing a burqa so what’s a little fecal matter spoon fed to a conservative? Besides, Bashar has an accent while Baldwin doesn’t; case closed.

Yep, gays are a protected class while conservatives are not and that is why Bashir still has a job.

This is an easy one, and I think you are all missing the point. Gays are a PROTECTED class, conservatives are NOT. The left loves dividing people and this notion of a protected class is perfect for them. Although the protected classes grow every day, conservatives will never be a protected class, so they are fair game for anything the left dishes out. As I have said before, ‘All animals are created equal, some are more equal than others’.

You are right, I was trying to allude to that point without actually saying it, but it is the truth.
