Barack Obama cuts millions from Medicare’s home health benefit to help pay for Obamacare
During the 2012 election cycle Barack Obama and the Democrats ran around the country claiming that the Republicans wanted to throw granny off the cliff by reforming Medicare. They went so far as to release an ad which depicted a Paul Ryan lookalike actually pushing a wheelchair bound elderly person off of a cliff.
Even as they spread this propaganda they knew there was one party, and one party only, which actually did what they claimed the Republicans wanted to do and that was the Democratic party–included in the Obamacare law, which was passed with only the votes of Democrats, was a provision which cut Medicare. Now senior are learning the hard way that it was actually Obamacare which sought to throw granny off the cliff.
But the news gets even worse for our elderly friends because, as Matt writes on Conservative Hideout, the Obama regime recently announced that in addition to these previous cuts the regime is also cutting millions of dollars from Medicare’s home health benefit:
As if ObamaCare’s botched website, coverage cancellations, and higher costs were not bad enough, the Obama Administration has quietly dealt yet another blow – this time striking millions of the nation’s most vulnerable seniors. Specifically, the Obama Administration has decided to deeply cut funding for the Medicare program’s home health benefit as a way to help pay for ObamaCare.
Please tell me again how the Democrats care about the senior citizens, and please tell me again how it is the evil, cold-hearted Republicans who seek to throw granny off the cliff.
The sad part is that this did not have to happen if people had listened to the warnings coming from the blogosphere, but sometimes seeing is believing and it now looks like people are going to find out the hard way.

They need to get rid of the useless eaters so they will have more money to take care of the illegals and the younger people. Those that can still work and be productive will get the care while those who no longer produce will not.

I remember the media stampede that took place when Paul Ryan released his budget that made changes to Medicare. He was portrayed as a murderer who cared nothing about senior citizens. And when the Obama administration makes cuts to Medicare that are actually harmful to senior citizens and the home health companies they rely on, nary a word.
