Republican Congressman threatens to throw reporter off the balcony for daring to ask him a question

January 29, 2014

After Barack Obama’s State of the Union address last night Rep. Michael Grimm made himself available to the press. However when he was asked about a Federal investigation into campaign fraud he responded by threatening to throw him off the balcony.

“Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again I’ll throw you off this f—–g balcony.”

“No, no, you’re not man enough, you’re not man enough. I’ll break you in half. Like a boy.”

Shortly after the incident Michael Grimm issued a statement which said in part:

“I was extremely annoyed because I was doing NY1 a favor by rushing to do their interview first in lieu of several other requests.

I verbally took the reporter to task and told him off, because I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect, especially when I go out of my way to do that reporter a favor.

He has since offered an official apology and will be taking the reporter out for lunch to make up for it but his initial reaction and the first statement he released following the incident tells us everything we need to know about this elitist who feels he is above reproach. Maybe it is possible the reporter was out of line but a simple “no comment” would have sufficed.

It is obvious he feels he is better than we are and does not need to answer to the American people about the fraud he was allegedly engaged in. How dare anyone question him! He let his true feelings be known in a moment of weakness. He is an elitist after all while we are mere plebeians who must accept their behavior for they know what is best for us. This mindset, from the president on down, is exactly what is wrong in Washington today.

The moral to this story is Don’t ask questions of an elected official while standing on a balcony.

Shoot, lets have the media throw these evil congressmen over the balcony. Now that would make a story!
