Candy Crowley wins ‘excellence in journalism’ award

March 6, 2014

Who can forget the infamous debate during the 2012 election where Mitt Romney had Barack Obama on the ropes over the terrorist attack in Benghazi which left Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods dead before Candy Crowley injected herself into the debate and came to the aid of the president?

The next day Candy Crowley admitted she was wrong but the damage was done for Mitt Romney never recovered, either in the debate or in the rest of his failed campaign. This says just as much about Mitt Romney’s poor candidacy and campaign as it says about media bias but the role Candy Crowley played in helping Barack Obama cannot be forgotten.

And apparently it was not forgotten for today Candy Crowley won the Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism–a reward for a job well done I suppose.

A complete and total disgrace and a waste of an award. Seriously, Candy Crowley?

Candy is dandy but sex won’t rot your teeth. That award is to excellence as the above is to poetry.
