Firewall with Bill Whittle: My Friend Failure
May 21, 2014
Here is the latest Firewall video by Bill Whittle entitled ‘My Friend Failure.’ This is an interesting video where he chronicles the failures of some famous people before they finally achieved success. He talks about how failure can be good if you learn from it and use it to motivate you, and how these people did just that. He also talks about his failures and how they got him to where he is now.

Another great one Steve. I have been self employed my whole life, and I confess I haven’t made friends with failure. I have let it demoralize me, stop me form moving ahead. I hope this video will help someone else avoid that pitfall.

Sometimes I think you can use failure not as a friend to motivate you but also as an enemy to motivate you. As long as you are motivated to succeed you can succeed!

Excellent. I forwarded this to my son who is a classically trained jazz musician with a masters degree in music performance, who toured the world for seven years performing, who has been teaching special ed students for the past two school years and private lessons since he was in high school, who has just finished the first year of a two year course to become fully certified to teach and embarks on a second year to begin the second year this September in order to fulfill just another of New Jersey’s money making schemes. This will reinforce the need to keep a stiff upper lip as he navigates the entrenched bureaucracy designed to knock him on his ass.
