Florida whistleblower exposes drug dealing within Veterans Affairs

May 21, 2014

Just when you thought the Veterans Affairs scandal could not get any worse another whistleblower has stepped forward, this time in Florida, with a claim of drug dealing, and an ensuing coverup within Veterans Affairs.

According to this story Thomas Fiore is a criminal investigator in Florida who was in charge of investigating drug discrepancies within the Florida Veterans Affairs office. He claims that this office is involved in drug dealing.

Fiore, a criminal investigator for the VA police department in South Florida, contacted CBS4 News hoping to shed light on what he considers a culture of cover-ups and bureaucratic neglect. Among his charges: Drug dealing on the hospital grounds is a daily occurrence.

“Anything from your standard prescription drugs like OxyContin, Vicodin, Percocet, and of course marijuana, cocaine, heroin, I’ve come across them all,” he explained. Despite the softening penalties that have been enacted over the last several years, cocaine possession in California can still result in serious penalties can still result in serious penalties he said.

And to make matters worse; he claims he was ordered to stop investigating this issue:

“I was instructed that I was to stop conducting investigations pertaining to controlled substance discrepancies,” he recalled.

He said he was personally told to stop investigating them by the hospital’s chief of staff, Dr. Vincent DeGennaro.

“I have no idea why,” he said. “He’s the chief of staff he doesn’t have to tell me why.”

This happened two years ago but he did not come forward until a veteran overdosed on cocaine and died. Why it took him so long to come forward is a mystery but at least he is finally speaking up.

Meanwhile the mainstream media seems to be focused on how this scandal could potentially hurt Barack Obama politically, as if that is what is most important, when they should be focused on the fact that we have let our veterans down and have been doing so for many years.

Need I remind you at this point that this is a government run healthcare program? The goal of Obamacare is to one day achieve a single-payer, government run system, does that give you a warm and fuzzy feeling?

Just like the Keystone pipeline he will keep delaying this until he is out of office so somebody else will have to deal with it.

Isn’t it sad that this is the kind of behavior we’ve come to expect of the Obama administration? And, you are right. This is the type of care we can expect when ObamaCare morphs into government health services (single payer).

The pimple on America’s ass sitting in the Oval Office will surely win four more years should he elect (no pun intended) to circumvent the constitution and run again. Who really believes that a majority of Americans have even the slightest clue about what has been done to them and their country or what’s coming down the pike when, not if, either Obummer or Hillary win in 2016?

Sadly too many Americans are distracted by issues much less important and they do not fully understand what has been done to them. These people will continue to vote for the Democrats. We are facing an uphill battle…..
