Latest New Hampshire poll shows Governor Hassan beating both Republican candidates easily

May 21, 2014

There are two Republican candidates, Walt Havenstein and Andrew Hemingway, vying to become the Republican nominee to take on Governor Hassan in November. According to this latest poll it really does not seem to matter at this point which one wins the nomination for they both poll about the same against the governor, and it is not good:

The poll of 707 registered Granite State voters taken May 14-15 by Vox Populi Polling, a new Republican polling firm of Washington, D.C., shows Hassan leading Republican retired businessman Walt Havenstein, 43 to 30 percent, with 23 percent undecided. She leads Republican businessman Andrew Hemingway, 42 to 31 percent, with 22 percent undecided.

The one bright side if you are either Walt Havenstein or Andrew Hemingway could possibly be the seemingly high number of people who are undecided at this point; 20+% being undecided about the governor seems high to me so it will be interesting to see where these people go as we get closer to the election.

The interesting races in New Hampshire will be in the House for both Ann Kuster and Carol Shea-Porter seem vulnerable.
