The United States captures Benghazi suspect

June 17, 2014

Before I get to the meat of this post let me state that I am happy the United States has captured one of the suspects in the Benghazi terrorist attack which left Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods dead and I am happy he will be brought to justice if he is convicted.

Barack Obama’s recent foreign policy victories have all blown up in his face; right or wrong, the Bowe Bergdahl deal did not pan out the way the president hoped it would and his refusal to sign a status of forces agreement in Iraq is partially responsible for the current violence. We can also add the Russia reset to this list. Now there are questions surrounding the capture of Ahmed Abu Khattala.

See, the United States government knew where he was all along and failed to arrest him on at least one occasion; meanwhile the media has interviewed him at least two times and claims he was not all that hard to find.

The suspected ringleader of the deadly 2012 Benghazi attacks, who was captured by U.S. forces over the weekend, was actually interviewed by multiple media outlets last year — a stunning revelation that could raise questions over why it took the U.S. so long to arrest the man.

But Abu Khattala, whom the U.S. had charged for the crime last summer but didn’t apprehend until now, has conducted multiple media interviews with U.S. outlets in recent months and years, with reporters claiming he wasn’t hard to find.

Last August, CNN’s Arwa Dawson interviewed Abu Khattala for two hours “in public at a coffee shop of a well-known hotel” in Benghazi, she explained during the segment.

“For a suspected terrorist, who may have been involved in the murder of four Americans, he’s really not that difficult to find,” Dawson said during her report, adding that Abu Khattala “seemed to be confident, his demeanor most certainly not that of a man who believed he was going to be detained or targeted any time soon.”

So why now? With the IRS laughably claiming all of Lois Lerner’s emails relevant to the targeting scandal were lost in a computer crash it appears as if this scandal is about to reach a new level. Even CNN is openly mocking this claim so the Obama regime needed a diversion to take the focus off the corruption in the IRS. And what better diversion could there possibly be if not the announcement of the capture of one of the men allegedly responsible for the Benghazi attack?

Knowing that this man could have been captured anytime but was not makes it appear as if this was a political move. Almost like the Obama regime was  waiting for a time when it needed the good publicity.

I applaud the capture of this man but the timing is suspect to say the least, it appears on the surface as if Barack Obama was more interested in publicity than he was in bringing this man to justice in a timely manner.

These people have been our sights, and easily obtainable for some time. oblameo’s last attempt to give the people *some* kind of good news with his ‘deficit’ trade for 5 taliban generals, completely backfired and is now reaching for anything he can do to put something good on the table for the upcoming elections.. how overly obvious…

Exactly! He could have had this guy any time he wanted to but he waited until he was desperate, hoping for a bump in the polls.

I just read that he claimed the video made him do it. On twitter with so so source. Makes sense doesn’t it? If true, how many Gitmo’s are going to be released in return.

Dusting off the video to see if it will fly one more time? At what point do even the lo-fo people not believe this administration? Am I giving them too much credit that they may at some level have a BS meter go off that tells them something ain’t right?

The poll numbers are still dropping but it is hard to believe how anybody can believe him at this point. Perhaps they don’t believe him but they still approve because of the freebies.

Guess those freebies have a stronger hold on them than making the right call on what is really happening in this administration! I hope they can live with that, since it is our kids and grandkids that will take the hardest hit! Those bastids!

They care about nobody but themselves so I don’t think they will have a hard time sleeping at night.
