Here is the open thread for Sunday, June 22nd; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
As usual you can follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is going on in the world. You can also subscribe to receive email updates and if you do you will never miss a post again.
In case you have not noticed I have replaced the old Twitter widget with a new, fully interactive Twitter widget. This widget updates my tweets in near real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. Is also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?

I am frightened, I really am. A few weeks ago Swiss asked what would happen after the fall. I predicted that the spirit that drove the founders would be alive and well and the the same type of people who gave their lives at the founding would step up and do it again. How naive. It is just as likely that the left will rise up and take over as it has so often in the past. China, Cuba, Korea, Russia, much of South America, and Africa were claimed by Socialism after a crisis. Now that we have Socialists elected to office, Socialists in control of the unions, and Socialists running the bureaucracies, why wouldn’t they take control?
And if all that isn’t enough, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE look at Pat Condell on YouTube. He is something I have never seen before. His is very anti-religion (which I simply don’t watch) and very pro Israel, anti leftism, pro liberty, and very against what he calls the “mulit-culties” who want to “celebrate diversity” at the expense of freedom.
Then, just to top it off, I see our Flounder-in-Chief sit like a doe-in-the-headlights watching as ISIS does a blitzkrieg (metaphor deliberate) in the middle east. I don’t have any idea what to do there, but then I didn’t fool the voters (fool the fools) into electing me, and I don’t have tens of thousands of advisers available to me, and I sure as hell don’t have a vast spy network that is suppose to alert me to these things.

If America does fall I have no doubt what will arise, an so I hope it never comes to that. Despite Obama’s claims to the contrary the world is more dangerous now than it ever has been and honestly I don’t think there is a solution other than just getting out and focusing on our own country.

As I said Steve, I really don’t have a clue what to do, but if you get a chance to see the Pat Condell video on Islam, there really is no way to focus on our own country without looking at what political Islam had done to north-western Europe, and wants to do here in the US. The toxic combination of political Islam, and our leaders self loathing makes it impossible to separate the two.
