Dick Durbin says Barack Obama will “borrow” the power needed to act on immigration
Today Barack Obama promised a Summer of Executive action on immigration reform. How far will he go ad what will he actually implement? Well that is a question we do not have the answer to at this time. We do know that he stated it would include moving resources to the border.
I have no problem with that for this is where the resources should have been focused all along, but today Dick Durbin made a statement which insinuated Barack Obama may be planning actions which Dick Durbin knows the president does not have. This is what he said:
“I don’t know how much more time he thinks he needs, but I hope that Speaker Boehner will speak up today,” Durbin said. “And if he does not, the president will borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration and he shouldn’t be sued as a result of it.”
That was a strange choice of words was it not? He did not say Barack Obama would use his power of the Executive Order to create some type of immigration policy, he said he would “borrow” the power. That is not quite the same thing now is it? It implies he is going to go beyond using the Executive Order for what is normally considered appropriate measures. It also suggests that most of the Congress does not have a problem with Barack Obama “borrowing” power which rightfully belongs to the Congress.
Barack Obama has already used the Executive Order to pass defacto amnesty in some cases and he has already used the Executive order to implement the DREAM Act in other cases so how much further is he goig to push this?
We will have to wait to see but it looks like this is shaping up to be a very busy and interesting Summer.

Can’t just one GOPer mention securing the borders? First? It seems so logical, but it will take another terrorist attack, and it will happen soon. Sad to say, it will be best before the fall election.

We have tried for YEARS to vote Dick Durbin out of office here in Illinois. Problem is, there are just too many votes in the Chicago area, legal or illegal that keep putting him back in office. He is not very well liked south of Chicago, believe me!

Yep, it’s like ‘save a kid’ or some of the charity groups that are the breeding ground for perverts and the very people the Org. is designed to keep them safe from. When there’s an illegal in the White House & other UNconstitutionalists selfies/killers of the Law in Gov bodies (DHS, etc.), ‘usurping’ is their game. A warped Prez’s Dream, is a Nightmare to the many, normal citizens.

Well that is good to hear Lou, seems like the rest of the state understands but it is too hard to beat those urban areas where the vote is concentrated and almost always Democratic.

And almost always has “voter fraud” going on…but don’t quote me on that!!!! Somehow they can always pull votes out of their a$$ when necessary….so not sure what else you would call it.
