Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick compares deporting illegal immigrants to sending Jews to concentration camps

July 16, 2014

Today Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick made a disgusting attempt to shame opponents of illegal immigration into submission by comparing them to what happened at the outbreak of WWII.

Here is what he had to say:

“My inclination is to remember what happened when a ship full of Jewish children tried to come to the United States in 1939 and the United States turned them away, and many of them went to their deaths in Nazi concentration camps.”

It is interesting to note here that he is not the first person to make this analogy: Senator Leahy of Vermont made the same comparison when he said the following:

“I also remind people of a time in the past around World War II where this country unwisely closed its borders to people who were fleeing the Holocaust in Germany,” Leahy said. “They came here, they were turned back, sent back, many of them to certain death in the death camps. That was a sorry part of our history.”

The Democrats have been attacking those of us who oppose illegal immigration during this recent surge as being racists or nativists, but as more and more states oppose the dumping of illegal immigrants into their communities, and as the protests to Barack Obama’s immigration policies grow among the citizenry of the United States, they have been losing the public relations war for the first time and they do not know how to handle it so they are becoming unhinged.

The attacks have not worked and it is clear they have their talking points so  instead of backing down from an extremely unpopular policy they have doubled, tripled, down on the rhetoric in the most disgusting attack imaginable.

the difference here is those jewish children were literate, and we didn’t have a welfare state.then. someone would have had to personally take responsibility for them. if I remember right certain jewish communities offered to take them, but they weren’t allowed.

at the time we were still in the thrall of the progressive movement and their ideas of eugenics which spawned planned parenthood and the concept (but not execution) of the gas chamber for “undesirables” that was adopted by the germans.

it’s a wonder we let anyone at all in with those standards in play.

The real purpose of Patrick’s comment: to goad those who oppose this invasion into making comparisons between Jewish children and children from Central America. Do not fall into this trap.

Granted, any such comparison is absurd on its face, for many reasons, but let’s stick to the most obvious and unchallengeable point: Honduras and Guatemala and El Salvador are NOT Nazi Germany.

If the Social Democrats want to argue THAT point, let them.

You are right, they are constantly trying to goad us into a fight by making inflammatory statements like this hoping to use what we say against us at some point.

What a disgusting, historically ignorant, passive-aggressive attempt at manipulation of those of us who rightly oppose this purposeful influx of illegals into our country. I am of Jewish descent, and have family members who both died in and survived the concentration camps in Germany. Those who escaped came to the US legally, and were literate and brought skills with them so they could contribute, not drag the whole system down with them in the name of racial resentment and rabble-rousing. We are not killing anyone, not gassing anyone, it’s despicable to imply this! We refuse to be codependent with their own countries’ corrupt regimes, We need to force THEM to be responsible for their own people! And not another stinking dime should EVER go to these countries, they are not our allies! And don’t get me started on what kind of parent would ship their kid off with drug lords and slave traders, mid starve to death before I ever let my kids be exposed to rape and sex slavery. Un-freaking real! We who are sane and value liberty are standing up for the rule of law in this country, against a tyrannical administration and their progressive cronies who are destroying us from the inside out, in the name of a perpetual democrat welfare state. That is what this is about, an endless supply of cheap, ignorant progressive votes to keep the freaks like Pelosi and Reed and even the RINOs in office forever. The fed is broke, the states are broke, the counties and cities are broke, we can’t even afford this in a practical sense much less in a cultural sense. I am livid. LIVID. It’s sickening!

This type of rhetoric bothers the hell out of me and I am not Jewish, I can only imagine how it makes you and others who actually had family members die at the hands of the Nazis feel. Have they no shame?!

So now that it suits their twisted logic these holocaust deniers will dig up the dead to carry their water. Pathetic.

Whatever it takes … they’ll do … even if it means ‘false flagging’ a killing of these illegals to evoke people’s sympathies. They’re conniving and deadly – to get what they want.

Morality is neither republican or democratic. We as a Nation, must honestly evaluate what we stand for as a people who claim to be founded on the truth that all men are created equal. Our country has been blessed with fullest measure of material wealth, and at one time , spiritual courage and conviction. I fear that we are beginning to become immune to what morality calls us to do in dealing with these children. Hiding behind man-made laws will not, does not, cannot justify anything less than our accepting these children into our country and then working as a people to insure that those we elect to govern our land are indeed doing all that is required to implement a compassionate plan to foster human-growth, safety and equality for all nations. To do less, in my opinion is the beginning of our downfall as the Nation we were conceived to be.

Once these children are in our country we have to take care of them to ensure they do not spread diseases to our citizens, but once they are healthy I do not believe we have an obligation to keep them here if they broke the law to get here. We are told that we are a nation of laws but if the law is not upheld than are we really a nation?

The illegal immigrants must be sent home! Many have diseases. Many are in the gang MS 13. We cannot afford to have all these people (many NOT children) in ths country illegally! It is wrong on so many levels. Not to mention the liberal elites will not be having them in their communities!!!
