Here is the open thread for Sunday, August 17th; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Don’t forget to use the new WordPress comment liking feature: if you like somebody’s comment do not forget to ‘like’ the comment.
Last week on America’s Watchtower we covered Barack Obama claiming it wasn’t his decision to pull out of Iraq, then vs now when Barack Obama was taking credit for pulling the troops out of Iraq, the Pentagon claiming it warned the President about the threat of ISIS, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama “hugging it out” after the former first lady trashed the President, the House voting on legislation to prevent Barack Obama from using an Executive Order to grant amnesty, Chuck Hagel admitting the world is exploding, the latest Afterburner video from Bill Whittle, Eric Holder’s concern about Ferguson and the militarization of the police force, an Obamacare head ordered emails to be deleted, Carl Levin promising the Senate would review the militarizing of the police force, and Rick Perry’s indictment. Whew, it was a busy week!
If you want to make sure you are able to keep up with all the topics discussed here you can follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening. You can also subscribe to receive email updates, this is probably the easiest way to make sure you do not miss anything..
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?
This week’s musical selection in Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue performing ‘Where the Wild Roses Grow’ from 1996. In typical Nick Cave fashion this is a tragic song about a young, innocent woman who falls in love with a psychopath which ultimately ends in her untimely and tragic demise. Sorry for the downer but this is a terrific song.
Enjoy?

A waste – last thing they want is for the American people to have the ammo.

First they bought it up and now they are destroying it. Make it more scarce and drive up the price. All part of the plan.
