Barack Obama salutes Marines with coffee cup in hand

This video is starting to make the rounds tonight so you may have already seen it, but in case you have not here is how Barack Obama saluted the Marines when he left Marine One earlier today when he arrived at the United Nations to talk about global warming:
I really do not think I need to add anything to this video, it speaks for itself. But considering the fact he landed at the United Nations to speak about climate change I will ask the following question: isn’t Styrofoam bad for the environment?

Sickening to say the least! His supporters will claim he had a lot on his mind and was distracted, yet is not that the case of all presidents? And we have never seen anything like this before, it goes beyond being distracted.

Agree Bunker – why can’t there be someone we’re ‘energized and edified by’ instead of this ‘too cool’ and high minded fraud! No wonder the SS and military don’t have their heart in protecting him – just a job, doing what they’re told to do. (May his golf games give him no pleasure.)

Yeah, I think if they had a choice the military would just assume turn their backs on him. They are obviously more professional than he is.

I have NO respect for this man, the office, yes, but not the man. He and his family expect the royal treatment, however they are NOT royalty, YET! He has stopped “amazing” me a long time ago. I expect this behavior out of him. I wonder how the military feels about him? I can guess, but they have too much respect for his office, as well, to show him any disrespect. That has to be hard.

What Obama has done here is simply show his honest feelings toward the military, tradition, respect and his roll as commander-in-chief. It is not as simple as saying he doesn’t care, or that he is disengaged. It is something else. I can’t put my finger on it, but this video is pretty indicative.

There’s an ‘air’ of dissociation, oblivious – arrogant, self-importance. But, he’s known he was going to be put in that ‘position of Prez’ for years so he’s had a lot of practice living in that ‘bubble’: If you do a search of ‘bill ayers and obama’s mother’ you’ll see how many dot connect (even to Malcolm X).

I think that is it Lou. He just doesn’t care enough to muster any emotion, good, bad or otherwise. Just an obligatory wiggle of a coffee cup is all he can give.

Yep, who is going to call him on his attitude? Surely not the media! It has become a “given” to him.
