Afterburner with Bill Whittle: Make Him Own It

October 23, 2014

I have a couple of stories I want to get to tonight but they will not be until later on, so here is something to hold you all over. This is the latest Afterburner video by Bill Whittle entitled ‘Make Him Own it.’ In this video he explains why it is important for all of us to get out there and vote next month.

Very simple, very basic and very important.

There are several reasons Bill Whittle is one of my heroes.

So do I! I have finally realized that I have to hold my nose and vote for Scott Brown, it pains me but it must be done.

The lesser of two evils may be evil, but at least it is less evil. Small solace perhaps, but practical. That’s especially true given the state of the Democrats.

Plenty of evidence has already emerged suggesting that the Democrats are planning on committing vote fraud (again) on November 4th, in order to hold on to their power in Congress.

I live in California. Over the last 5 decades the Democrats have systematically gerrymandered both the electoral districts and the laws regulating elections*, to pretty much guarantee that they will dominate California politics for decades to come. In short, outside of a few Republican districts that are maintained to give the appearance of two party politics, California is owned by the Democrats.

Before you point out that California has had several Republican Governors, including Pete Wilson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, you might note that with our Democrat dominated legislature, they were pretty much forced to be RINOs.

A detailed study of Schwarzenegger’s first year in office will shock you. The Democrat “girly men” of the California State Legislature, f*cked him over and dictated what he could and could not do. In general, I do not hold Schwarzenegger responsible for the state budgets and other b.s. that occurred during his administration.

*This is based on variations of “voting at large”. Diane Feinstein pioneered this in San Francisco. In any election, the top vote getters, regardless of party or district are automatically elected. In this way a small, cohesive voting bloc can control the outcome of the election. Feinstein’s original was finally stopped in 2000, but since then, we have a new law where the top two candidates in the primary election are automatically the only two candidates on the final ballot. We have had more than one instance where the only candidates for state office were both Democrats.

OT We are taking our elderly neighbors (85) on a day trip today! I used to take my Mom on this same trip each year this time, so it will bring back bitter sweet memories for me. We go down to Alton, Il. and take the river road up to Grafton, Il. The cliffs have beautiful color this time of year and the eagles are out. The Piasa Bird is also along the way. Then we take the Brussels Ferry over to Brussels to the Wittmond Inn for lunch. After wards we go to one of the boat docks and have hot spiced (spiked) cider or rum and sit out on the river. I grew up on the river, so it is a treat for me to be back down there. This is right at the area the Illinois and Mississippi rivers come together. There is a tiny town of Elsa along the way that is tucked back in the cliffs and has tiny houses to match the town, we will probably drive thru there. My neighbor has mid/late stages of Alzheimers, as did Mom, so it will be an extra special trip. We have known them for 27 years, so they have become family to us. I know her time is limited for memories, so they come over to eat with us during the week, as well, for conversation and to give him a bit of a break. Wish me luck, this is the first trip since my Mom died so I have mixed emotions on going.

The town is Elsah, I left the “h” off, sorry. Just in case anyone wants to take their mind off all the Administration crap and have a look at the little town and the history of it. The area is beautiful.

Just got home and we had a good day, Gone about 11 hours. Our friend lives for the moment and we had lots of them today! The weather was perfect, sunny, the eagles were out, we rode the ferry across the Illinois River and ate at the Wittmond Inn. Went thru Elsah, talking the whole ride bringing up things from the past. It was a great day, actually. Talked alot about my Mom and things we did up there, so she was with us as well. Thanks, Steve!
