Chris Matthews predicts Republicans could win 10 Senate seats
Today Chris Matthews spoke at the ‘Washington Ideas Forum’ and he basically said that the Democrats have no message this year and he predicted the Republicans could win 10 Senate seats next week because of it.
Here is what he said:
“They don’t really have a statement,” he said. “They have nothing in the market basket to offer. They have no real positive brand this time,” he added, “There was a great line from the American Revolution, ‘Either we hang together or we hang separately,’ the Democrats should remember that next Tuesday as the results come in.”
Matthew then made a bold prediction which had the experts in the room shaking their heads when he said the Republicans, “could win up to 10 seats in the US Senate.”
Does he know something we do not? I do not think anybody in their wildest dreams, or nightmares depending on your perspective, feels as if the Republicans can possibly do this well in the election. Most of the races are too close to call at this point so I believe there are two possible motivating factors behind this prediction. Either he is tempering his expectations so as to not be let down, or he is trying to motivate the Democratic base to head to the polls to head off impending defeat.
Still, this could be a sign that Democratic insiders are much more fearful of a huge Republican wave than they are letting on publicly…
Time will tell.

I guess the tingle of “hope and change” isn’t what it used to be. Mathews will have to find something or someone else to turn him on.

Is it going to be Hillary? 😉

This one is simple, he’s following the Democrat’s playbook, when in doubt, terrify your base with the bogey man.

That is pretty much what I think he is up to as well.

Imagine if the republicans had presented a conservative statement, had something in the market basket to offer, and had a real positive conservative brand this time.

Right now a lot of people don’t care. The first order of business is to end the Democrat a** f*cking we’re getting. There will be a monster debate after that.
You know the saying: If you find you’ve dug yourself into a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.

Yeah, the same could be said about the Republicans. Their only message is “we are not Obama.” Which is basically the same message as the Democrats but only more believable.

It really is problematic that we don’t have any real national leaders or any sort of comprehensive program for getting the country back on course. You can bet the Dems will take full advantage of the confusion.
Ted Cruz looks interesting, but he also might have a citizenship problem, having been born in Canada. His mother was a U.S. citizen, but not his father.
I just want to disassemble the ways Obama has crippled us, starting with the EPA regulations that are being used to shut down coal usage and oil production. Nullifying the results of the last 8 years would be a good start.
Some major surgery on the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA (amputations) should be next. DHS and FEMA together have all the tools for a fully totalitarian state.
Oh yeah, all registered Democrats to be re registered as enemies of the people, similar to sex offenders. Yeah, yeah, I know, but I can dream, can’t I?

Perhaps if they win they will be able to start laying out a plan for the 2016 election. I think Cruz has a legitimate problem with his birth and the left will have quite a good time with it if he runs.

Steve, are you going to do an open night blog where we can all congregate? Would be nice to be with friends, if we crash and burn. Having said that, I do have more optimism this time around that we just MIGHT pull it off. Hopefully enough people will be watching the polls this year. Nothing we can do about the fraud with the machines or the extra ballot stuffing, but we can watch for illegal voters.

My plan is to try to blog earlier in the evening if I find something to write about and then put up an open thread before the polls close. I have been trying not to get optimistic so I won’t be let down again, but it is starting to creep into me.

I am hearing some of the more reserved pollsters coming out with Republicans winning, so guess that is a good sign. But, we have to be prepared for what happened in 2012 again. Sorry to say it is a good chance it will happen as well.

I am prepared or at least I think I am. Hopefully I will not have to find out the hard way.

I hope for once, it goes OUR way and not the way of the fraud machine! I am tired of playing fair only to have our rights stripped away a little at a time. We all know it is a bunch of crap and we need some heavy hitters in office that will fight for our rights, don’t we?

Yeah, not only do Republicans have to win, they have to win by at least 4% in order to be safe after all the recounts are in.

Makes one wonder.
Djembé ~ the peace drum: “According to the Bambara people in Mali, the name of the djembe comes from the saying “Anke djé, anke bé” which translates to “everyone gather together in peace” and defines the drum’s purpose.” THAT is the sort of thing we need today in America. But, peace in the minds of these usurpers is ‘control maintenance’ rather than for ‘the good for common mankind.’ Let’s beat that drum! Rally together what’s been torn apart.
