IRS will not disclose 2,500 tax documents shared with the White House

December 3, 2014

IRS  Cause of Action filed a lawsuit against the IRS seeking documents which the corrupt agency shared with the White House and last week the Treasury Inspector General admitted he had found so many documents–2,500 to be exact–that the IRS would need an additional two weeks to turn over the documents, but said the agency would comply.

However this week the IRS has changed its mind and has decided not to turn over the documents after all.

  Here is more:

Less than a week after ’fessing up that it found some 2,500 documents potentially showing that the IRS shared taxpayer returns with the White House, the Obama administration has reversed course and won’t release the trove to a group suing for access.

In an abrupt decision, the Treasury inspector general’s office said that the documents are covered by privacy and disclosure laws and can’t be provided to Cause of Action, despite a promise last week to hand over some 2,500.

“All of the 2,043 pages of documents we have determined to be responsive were collected by the Secretary of the Treasury with respect to the determination of possible liability under Title 26 of the United States Code. These pages consist of return information protected by 26 U.S.C. § 6103 and may not be disclosed absent an express statutory exception,” said the office in a letter dated Dec. 1.

Now these documents contain return information which is protected but it certainly seems of if the IRS was not concerned about disclosing personal return information with the White House, doesn’t it?  I guess it depends on who wants to see those confidential taxpayer returns.

What possible justification can the White House have for acquiring the documents if they contain protected returns of taxpayers? But I guess I am making something out of nothing because there is not even a smidgen of corruption here.

What I want to know is what dictionary Obama uses. Because I can’t find his definition of “transparency” in any of the dictionaries I’ve consulted. Maybe it’s Kenyan?

Right after Lois Lerner is incarcerated in the Women’s House of Detention across the street from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx the guys bogarting the 2500 documents will be taken to task by some court in DC that is populated with Obola appointed judges.
