Harry Reid admits Mitt Romney paid his taxes

 We all remember during the 2012 Presidential election when Harry Reid took to the Senate floor and emphatically stated the following:

“As we know, he has refused to release his tax returns. If a person coming before this body wanted to be a Cabinet officer, he couldn’t be if he had the same refusal Mitt Romney does about tax returns,” Reid said. “So the word is out that he has not paid any taxes for 10 years. Let him prove he has paid taxes, because he has not.”

  He went on to state that he would not take back the claim and he also said that because he levied the charges it was not up for him to prove the statement was true but rather it was up to Mitt Romney to prove it was not true. This, of course, is not the way it is supposed to work: if a person levies a claim against a person it is up to the person making the claim to prove it is true otherwise it amounts to, in my opinion, libel.

  Recently Harry Reid was asked about this and he had no remorse, here is what he had to say:

“They can call it whatever they want. Romney didn’t win did he?“

  Call it whatever you want because it was mission accomplished by any means necessary and he does not give a damn what anybody thinks of him or his devious tactics.

  Even more recently Harry Reid admitted that Mitt Romney did indeed pay his taxes in the years he claimed he did not, here is more:

“Of course he paid taxes. What he didn’t do is let us see his tax returns.”

  This is an admission that Harry Reid took to the Senate floor and lied about a Presidential candidate to push his political agenda and yet he still has no regrets and refuses to apologize for this underhanded tactic.

Reid said, “I have no repentance, because it was an issue that was important,” adding there is “zero” chance of an apology.

 I am going to pull no punches here because this exemplifies everything that is wrong in Washington in a nutshell: Harry Reid is a corrupt scumbag who will do or say whatever is required, up to and including lying on the Senate floor, in order to ensure the Democrats stay in power because the end justifies the means…
