Donald Trump to announce Presidential bid on June 16th?
According to this article it appears as if Donald Trump is going to announce his bid for the Presidency on June 16th. Here is more:
Billionaire businessman Donald Trump all but confirmed he’ll run for the Republican presidential nomination during a stop Saturday at the N.C. GOP convention.
Trump says he’ll make his formal announcement on June 16. “I think a lot of people are going to be very happy” with the decision, Trump told The News & Observer before a sold-out speech Saturday night. “They’re tired of watching America go down. … It’s about making America great again. I can do it, and nobody else can do it.”
He made a point of using the phrase “if I run” in his speech but voiced frustration with a disclaimer: “June 16, will you come, please, fast – I’m so tired of saying that.”
Never one to miss an opportunity at self-promotion the publicity hound took this chance to slam the other Republican candidates for being “clowns” and “making asses” of themselves while making the point that because he has made allot of money he is somehow qualified to be the President.
Trump referred to the constantly growing field of Republican candidates as “clowns,” and said former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio have already made major gaffes.
“After watching Bush make a total ass—- of himself, Rubio makes an ass—- of himself,” Trump said of his potential opponents.
Addressing criticism that he lacks the political experience to be president, Trump said he’d be strong on foreign policy.
“I’ve made a lot of money beating China and other countries,” he said. “I only have experience beating other countries. Is that good experience?”
Donald Trump has this nasty little habit as of late: when a Presidential election nears he suddenly becomes vocal, teasing the possibility of running for President before backing down once his rather large ego is satisfied. Will he take the next step this time around or can we expect him to simply mouth off for awhile before disappearing again?
I get the feeling it is different this time. I believe he is going to announce a bid for the Presidency, but why? In my opinion there are only two possibilities because I do not think he is a legitimate candidate and I believe he knows this as well.
The first reason is obvious; he is looking for more publicity, but the second possibility is more sinister and in my opinion is quite likely even though most will write this off as crazy talk. Is it possible he is a Democratic Hegelian Dialectic operative seeking to injure whichever Republican emerges from the field to win the nomination to the point where he or she is so badly damaged as to ensure the Democratic nominee becomes the next President of the United States?
Donald Trump cares about one thing and one thing only and that is Donald Trump; he does not really care about this country but rather how he can use this announcement for his own benefit in my opinion and he should not be trusted even if his goal is not to help the Democratic nominee. He has an ulterior motive here because he always does…
Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

Trump backs NSA data collection. I blogged it with audio from Fox & Friends interview. Sad, I would have opted to vote Trump, than any of the usual suspects.

It bothers me that most of the candidates back the NSA even though they know it has been ruled illegal. It shows me they only care about the Constitution when it is convenient and it tells me they cannot be trusted.

So then he is different from the slime ball republicans who ran the gigantic mid-term election scams on us in 2010 and 2014, and threw the presidential election in 2012 and will do so once again in 2016. And today they continue to perform fallatio on Obama while he keeps them on their knees. As far as I know Trump has never ran for and won public office and then did a 180 on his pre-election promises. I hope he does bury the whole crew of republicans candidates most of whom have been swimming in the fetid waters of Washington for years while accomplishing little more than rubber stamping whatever the democrats legislate and our being no better for it. These republican clowns and asses, as Trump as rightly and aptly labeled them, are on the same payroll as their leftwing pig buddies on the other side of the aisle. A pox on both their houses. Trump just may prove to be the man to take them all, left and right, to the woodshed; let’s hope so.

OK, Trump is a self made billionaire. He’s obviously good at creating opportunities and he’s good at negotiation. However, all of his work to date has always been in pursuit of relatively narrow goals with a very limited constituency that has to be pleased.
When it comes to national politics, he’s a side show freak.

Trump is an egomaniacal idiot! He runs nothing, he doesn’t own the buildings that sport the Trump name, he leases his name to the owners. Only he thinks he’d be a good president and by the way, he contributes to both the democrat and republican parties. The only votes he would get (if he were to make it to be nominated, which he won’t) will be people who work for him, have deals with him and fools. I think he will announce his candidacy only because he’s run his mouth about running so many times and has lost all credibility. So he has something to prove. If he does announce, I’d discount any Fox polls – since Trump does a telephone call in to Fox & Friends every Monday – you can safely assume he has shares in News Corp. While far too many candidates are in the running, the field will thin itself out pretty quickly. I see Walker as winning the presidency & Perry, or Fiorina – perhaps Rubio as his running mate.

Fiorino and Romney’s professional and personal financial successes qualifies them, while Trump’s serve to discount him as selfish and egomaniacal. The Republican Party, of which I have been a voting member of since the 1972 election, is a sick old man.

I don’t think he even thinks he has a chance and I don’t think he cares. It is all about him in my opinion.

Self interest seems to be the common thread as the republicans continue to tumble out of the clown car to declare their residential runs. While Trump may share in the self interest arena he may actually spit at the democrat’s nominee rather than swap spit with him/her ala Chris Christie on the beach with Obama.
