Republican establishment punishes members for voting against Obamatrade
I have been saying for quite some time that the Republicans and the Democrats are on the same side; that they are playing a game with a predetermined result and that they are only putting on a show to give the American people the illusion of having a choice.
I still believe that for the most part this is true, at least with the establishment, however there is a small group of conservatives in the House who have been trying to stop the establishment from implementing its agenda and they gave it their best shot when it came to the TPA–they were able to delay it but not stop it.
But now they are beginning to pay the price for not following the agenda of the establishment: much like we saw a few years ago when John Boehner began removing conservatives from budget committee chairs for trying to make good on campaign promises instead of toeing the establishment party line, the Republican establishment is beginning to punish conservatives for holding up procedure on the TPA.
Jason Chaffetz has removed Mark Meadows from his subcommittee chair because he evidently confused campaign rhetoric about stopping Barack Obama from usurping power with the true non-election year agenda of the selective Constitutionalist establishment. Here is more:
House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz has stripped North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows of his subcommittee chairmanship, just days after he defied leadership on the House floor by voting against a party-line procedural motion.
“Sometimes the coach needs to make a change on the field,” Chaffetz (R-Utah) told POLITICO Saturday. “He’s still a valuable contributor, and I really like Mark Meadows, he’s a good person. But I need to make a change.”
Losing a subcommittee chairmanship midway through a congressional session is among the most serious punishments thus far in Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) majority. Boehner and his leadership team have grown frustrated with Republicans who vote against the procedural “rule” motion.
This is what happens when a person dares to stand up for what he believes in rather than making empty promises in order to get elected. Free-thinkers are not allowed, you must conform to the will of the party or be eliminated from power.

Except for a few members of Congress we have Democrat-lite on the Republican side. The more I read about Boehner, the more I think he needs to be removed. Remember when some tried to remove him awhile back and were laughed at? I wonder who is laughing now? At what point do we just say “screw it” and start doing what we want while we still have the ability and funds to do it? This country is going down the tubes fast and I never thought it would be with the help of the “RIGHT”! We the People have not say so in government anymore, that is apparent!!!! The Government has become a Monster……

There was talk about removing him the last two times but nothing came from it. Hopefully now they have learned it is time for him to go, but of course maybe this has intimidated others who would otherwise vote against him.

Obviously, the powers that be like to have wimpy milk toast filling important positions, but what does that say about the rest of the House?? What’s to learn Steve? They’re not on the same ‘track’ as basic American’s.

“Oversight” is a good name for them – they look-over the whole thing, and just go for their pot of gold or stash.
If they vote him in, they’re of the same mindset that need to be exterminated out.

Well I guess we have learned that we really have no voice, but we already knew that! Those that dare to stand up and represent the people over the party are going to be eliminated by the powers that be at all costs!

CDHD, if there is no one that will stop them, does it really matter that what they are doing might be illegal? It seems that is the name of the game now days. The fires are being flamed at at some point there is no putting them out.

Look everyone in government are now enemies of the people. Until someone starts taking them out and cleaning house will have no chance of any kind of turn around or change that’s just the facts. We could win very easily if we just got Jeffersonian on their asses.

There are just a handful that have been trying to take Boehner out or McConnell, but we see how far that has gone. When Conservative Republicans are attacked by the establishment Republicans, we have a BIG problem. I do not see voting as the biggest option anymore. I know we are told to VOTE them out, but I think we have passed the point of that having any positive results.

The House of Representatives is the Peoples’ House. Each member is independent of the other members, elected by his constituents, and answerable to only his constituents.
F*ck the so-called ‘party’ line! That’s why we are in this mess in the first place – our representatives obeying a political party instead of their constituents.
I’m sick of these people thinking they have the authority to tell my representative what he should do, how he should vote. F*ck off! and leave my representative alone!!!

You are right on the money though; they are supposed to represent the people of their districts and not the party line, if the people sent them there for a position which bucks the official party line it is their obligation to confront them!

Steve, I think you and the rest of us are just dreaming now, if you/we think they are going to do OUR bidding. They are all for it to get the election win, but what the hell happens to them after that? They sure can make promises they do not intend to keep, it seems.
OT I got to see Deneen Borelli give a talk at The Decatur club last week. She is a FOX contributor, a conservative and the author of Blacklash: How Obama and the Left are Driving Americans to the Government Plantation. It was good to hear someone that still thinks American is great and worth saving.

We haven’t any representative anymore Laura – they work for the shadow agenda. But, thru history it’s only taken a few men and women to make it straight again and I pray the LORD raise them up. Now that would be interesting to see!

We need to start recalling these representatives who are violating their oaths and the Constitution. Recalling those we elect is a Natural Right of the People. Just like nullifying an unconstitutional federal law is a Natural Right of the states.

I agree Laura, problem is who will carry the ball to make this score happen? Groups like Judicial Watch and such can only do so much, esp. when the Judges are part of the ‘deal’ the Big Agenda. Look at Sheriff Joe and all their evidence that Bari isn’t who he says he is. No tread on their shoes to get anything done! The enemy doesn’t care about our Constitution. They’re aiming to get rid of it and replace it with the World Order Governance. What use to work thru the Legal System doesn’t anymore because they’re changing it, rewriting it – they don’t/won’t adhere to it! You’d think the Military Generals would’ve performed a Coup – but they didn’t and got kicked out of rank before they could do anything worthwhile. You’re thinking is right and that’s ‘their problem’ – they want you to ‘accept’ their ‘new order’ and ‘right’ isn’t included!

Zip, we’ve allowed the courts to become too powerful. States have to step up and refuse to comply with unconstitutional court decisions. Courts are not the final authority on Constitutionality. The People are the final authority on everything! We have to start acting like it!

You’re right again Laura. If they’re UN-Constitutional we are not, by law, under their rule or domaine. The craziness will come to a head and maybe that’s what we need to happen. Isn’t that what Jefferson stated, that if there came a ‘time’ such as this, corrective action is advised. We can abide by the founding rules and find a way thru, around, over, under or have the obstacle removed – just as they’re planning to do ‘unto us’.

The Unanimous Declaration of the 13 States basically sets the stage for nullification when it says it is not only our right but our duty to replace a government which no longer represents the people.

The courts are stacked. I used to not think too much about the Supremes, they were there and the final word on something. Now, I have a suspicion that they are being bought. That I would expect from some on the District or Local courts, but I always had faith that the Supremes would rule by the LAW with what our Constitution says. Now, I do not think they do. I think there is dirt in a file on each and every one of them. That the founding fathers saw this coming was vast insight on their part….at least they did not underestimate what evil can do.

I’m convinced of it, Lou. When Roberts ‘ruled’ that obamacare was a tax, I knew that ‘someone’ had something on him.
When the Clintons dropped their claims that bam-bam is not a natural born citizen, I knew that ‘someone’ got to them.
After all the impeachable acts bam-bam has committed with absolute impunity, I know that ‘someone’ has something on our representatives.
Our government is not being run by our representatives.

We have that “shadow government” that runs the show….I know people think Obama is running things…..no. He is a talking head that plays golf and does fund raisers and trips, that is all he is…just for show. The problem is WE are paying for this show, I would really like to use my own money, instead it is being used for a “front” that will fool most people.
